She really is a good storyteller. I love how when she writes her lyrics, the intention is to not only make you listen, but also to let you see how the story happened. The way she sings makes you feel the emotion she wants you to feel and I believe it's a great factor if you want to be great singer and artist. You're not making a song to be popular, you're making them to touch lives and that's exactly what she does.

Fyi the man on keyboard is Kim Jaehwi, the composer who worked with IU on Through the night (2017), Snowman (2018), My Old Story (2014) and many more. He’s the one who composed and sang My Mister’s ost Dear Moon to which IU wrote lyrics. He’s very young, only 21 I think, and have worked with IU since high school days. They have a very good relationship!

아이유 노래는 유행이라기 보다는 삶에 녹아 있는듯함;;; 솔직히 명곡들이 많지만 너랑나, 하루끝, 가을아침 나온지 좀 됐지만 지금도 계속 듣는 노래이고.. 지금 나온노래들도 앞으로도 계속 찾을 노래일듯 합니다

전에 콘서트 갔을 때는 연세 많으신 외국인 두분이 아이유 뱃지며, 여기저기 아이유 굿즈 달고 오신 걸 보고
참 부러웠습니다. 나도 좀 더 시간이 지난 후에도 그럴 수 있을까 생각이 들어서요.

i loved this song bc in 2023 i lost my grandma. when i first listened this song and saw the lyrics, i burst into tears bc the chorus is abt me and my grandma, i always would lay on her knees and she would touch my hair. i immediately started crying, i listen to this song when i miss my grandma and always end up crying. thank you for this song and wonwoo who covered this song and i get to know it

IU wrote this song when she had troubles sleeping and then she remembered the time when she used to sleep on her grandma's lap....I had a hard time listening to this song without crying since I lost my grandma and that's exactly how I used to sleep when she was still alive, on her lap with her stroking my hair.
I'm disappointed with the people saying horrible things to her it hurt me as a person.If only you know her more the past IU until today you won't say those things. You don't have to like her we just ask a little respect. I follow her career since 2008 until now and I admire only few celebrities those worthy to be praise and IU is one of them. You don't even know her for you to judge. Where she is now is because of her talent plus good heart plus great attitude. Your welcome! I'm not usually pay attention or post something to defend someone but it's just too much. I'ts not as if she killed someone to get those hates. They twisted her words to mean something other than what she meant. I just can't stand to watch in silence. They don't have to like her but they have to respect her but I realize that she receive those attention with every move she make because she is popular not just seasonal popularity but someone who can affect the stock market if she did something that doesn't please everyone. I'ts part of being a celebrity. IU is IU no matter what they say. You will know her even if you did not meet her just by watching her reaction to every situation she face. Listening to this after hearing Wonwoo's cover. This is a beautiful song and one that I will listen to, to comfort me at times when I am sad and missing my mum. I've been chronically ill for a while now, so I end up awake at night while others are sleeping thinking about an old laughing me, waiting for a possible day I could win myself back. The lyrics "don't wake me up I'm going to sleep tight" is something I used to tell my family so often when I take sleeping pills to not wake me up since I'll end up fighting my daily pain and not sleeping; and like she said I wish there was a shortcut to where a healthy happy me is.
IU how can you release something that Beautiful, you literally read my mind and performed my thoughts in such a beautiful way, guess there is a reason behind why I love you and your music so much after all :) thank you for this thank you for being a real Artist

This song reminds me of when I was very young and everyone was huddled around the TV after dinner to watch America's Funniest. When my mom was alive, I'd rest my head on her lap and she'd feed me some fruit that she peeled while my dad and brother laughed their hearts out. I would trade everything to go back to that time.. even just for a minute.

i discovered this song last 2018 when i was depressed. it was a tough journey for me, tbh. but iu never failed to amaze me with her songs and her voice. i was 14 back then, now im 17. i miss those days and through her songs, i am motivated to not end my life bcoz i wanted to hear her singing live before i vanish in this world.

hahaha! She is a singer first and being an actress is just her stress reliever. Watch her dramas she is quite good. Watch everything from her debut 2008 to the recent her fancams is worth watching too. And watch her variety shows specially Heroes and Hyori B&B. I also thought that I'm the only fan she have in my country but it turns out she is famous here when she had her concert last year in my country it got sold out right away. I'm lucky to be able to get a ticket although not the seat i want but its fine I've waited for 10 years just to hear and see her live. I was awake for 2 days since i have to travel as its far from my area but it's all worth it. You will never regret being a Uaena.

For what I know, IU wrote this song about her grandmother too. The grandmother was sick and IU couldn't sleep because she was worried, so she started to remember every single thing they loved to do together and finally fell asleep, idk, i think the grandmother died in the same day.
