When people say that, they mean the “gen2” groups. With the exception of HyunA. People want to see gen2 groups, such as SNSD, Big Bang, WG, KARA (RIP Hara), TARA, MBLAQ, BEAST (or Highlight), INFINITE, 2NE1, Girls Day, Sistar, 4minute etc.
I think that’s what it is. Cuz you know if the group versions came back, it would be a hit.
@@superbluerock8327 honestly I don‘t think so. I have seen many groups coming back from military or female 2nd gen groups coming back after a long hiatus and nobody gives a f*ck. So sad to see but that‘s true. People be like „oh CL queen of kpop forever“ blablabla but looking at +HWA+ it didn‘t even do that well, I had expected way more

Seriously, I don't get why Yubin is so underrated. I'm not even talking about the fact she is herself from one of the most legendary groups.
Agreed! It seems so weird that Sunmi and Yubin came from the same group but their reception has been so different. I love both of them though, and I hope Yubin’s solo work is more recognized
@@Aitaitaitai Yes.. we're somehow used to see Yubin being underrated now, but if we take a step back, we realize how wrong it is and we're like "why and how??". This is just so not right.
@@Aitaitaitai maybe based on each members popularity? but if i remember correctly Yubin wasn't even one of the underrated members in WD
another guess I have is because Sunmi became solo literally right after if not during the time she was in wonder girls meanwhile Yubin took time in between. I'm just guessing people just followed up with Sunmi till now and I hope they will with Yubin as well😊
@@taylorl9424 yes its all about using fame at the right time. Sunmi had solo when wonder girls was big and benefit from that group fame and then right after wonder girls disband he came back to her solo while yubin waited years after wonder girls disband to debut

But just, I think Sunmi was in a hiatus from Wonder Girls since 3 years when she debuted solo in 2013, she wasn't in Wonder Girls anymore and even Wonder Girls had stopped activities until they came back in 2015. I'm not sure how this helps to the story but I'm just rectifying
유빈=시티팝 공식이 제대로 확립되면 좋겠음 아직까지 여돌 중에서 시티팝 컨셉 건들기만 했지 제대로 밀고가서 성공한 경우 거의 못봄 진짜 정통 시티팝으로 해서 유빈만의 독보적 컨셉이 확고해졌으면 좋겠음 사람들이 숙녀할 때 되게 열광하고 넵넵도 가사도 공감되고 좋았지만 숙녀 향수 넵넵 순으로 나왔어도 나쁘지 않았을거 같음 시티팝으로 컨셉 확실해지고 다양한 색깔입히는게 내 개인적 생각으로는 좋을 듯 유빈 이름도 이쁘고 마스크도 독보적이라서 계속 응원하게 될거 같음 예능은 컴백 기간에만 조금씩 나가서 신비주의 해도 먹힐거 같은 유일한 솔로가수임 ㅠㅠㅠ 다른 아이돌들 신비주의 한다고 해서 잘 안된 경우 많이 봤는데 아무튼 유빈이 독보적 케이팝 솔로가수 했으면 좋겠어서 주저리주저리함 ㅠㅠ

As a WonderFul, I am always a fan of Yubin's rap skills, not focusing on her vocal skills. But one thing that I learned from the Wonder Girls is that you should not be afraid of going outside your mastery zone. (I can explain further but I want my comment to focus on Yubin this time).
This song showcases Yubin's vocal skills and the beat of the song is somehow nostalgic. MV-wise, it provides the essence of the title and you can smell the fragrance while watching the video. Hehe. just my thoughts.
Of the WG solos, Yubin is the one really sticking with retro sounds.
For me, Yubin’s vocals suits the best with city/retro pop. And I love how she goes back to this concept to perfume

Yubin: CEO of her own company and dropping bops for us like this one.
Sunmi: Huge career as a soloist, last year she went back to Wonder Girls' signature retro sound with pporappippam and When We Disco (with JYP).
Yenny/HA:TFELT: Last year she released her first studio album, and it's a very personal and incredible one. She also released another single afterwards (La Luna).
Sohee: Very focused on her actress career, her most recent drama being Missing: The Other Side (2020). She also uploaded a dinner date with Sunmi on her youtube channel a few months ago.
Hyerim: Recently married, wrote a book and it's signed on Yubin's company (hopefully will also debut as a soloist in the future).
Sunye: Taking care of her 3 daughters in Canada and recently released an duet with 2AM's Jo Kwon.
Hyuna: She didn't stick around much in WG but everything she did it so far has been huge and she's supposed to come back any moment now.
They also made a small reunion last year (with the purpose of being a Bridal Shower for Hyerim before the wedding) and it was on a episode of Don't Be Jealous, you can check out clips of the reunion here on youtube or look for the full episode on "other places" ;). Yenny didn't made it to the reunion because she had schedule on the same day and Sunye was at her home in Canada but they both joined by video chat at the beggining. They even went to JYP's new building and it has a lot of funny and beautiful moments.

@@chikijonatv5352 Yeap, she was on Wonder Girls in their debut (Irony) but left afterwards and eventually went to 4minute then went solo (also TroubleMaker and Triple H)
@@chikijonatv5352 I just want to add that when the name Hyuna is mentioned, it will design 99.9% of the time HyunA the 4Minute member and soloist. Because she is the most famous female idol of the last decade. She is more than huge in k-pop, but as she is in a hiatus since pretty much 2018, I can imagine that people who became kpop fans after don't realize that. So I'm just saying :)
