Hey Wes, I would like for you to know that myself along with many other people are supporting your vision for the upcoming Zelda film. Nintendo has their chosen one the same way Hyrule has its chosen one

Hi Wes, i hope you are fine and i can't wait to watch in IMAX Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes! It look fantastic and the movie come out the day of my birthday! Yeah! I will be at a music show on that evening but i will see the movie as soon as possible. If i can give my 2 cents for the upcoming Zelda movie, i think you should try to push the boundaries of what you were making with Mouse Guard movie in terms of magical and vibrant tone. I mean Hyrule is even more fantastical and diverse in terms of mystical creatures and setting but i think you had an interesting visual template with Mouse Guard. For Zelda, like you said, its serious but at the same whimsical and fun. Like the big tech nerd you are, i hope that you will lean on a kind of serious but somehow cartoon-ish look for the movie. A bit like Kingdom, but more vibrant and fantastical, it would be nice to have a movie that blend live action and CG with flair and taste. What i have in mind in recent years is The Hobbit trilogy. Despite the flaws, i really enjoy the visual style of these movies. It felt like a real live action cartoon. I have also Avatar of James Cameron in mind. Without going full CG on Hyrule like Pandora, you could try to blend environment like in Avatar (Hyrule setting) with some natural location, real people but also CGI (mo cap) characters and creatures. For instance, Link should be play on screen by a real person but Ganon should be CGI with the mo cap technology like on Apes. I hope you will utilize cutting edge technology to make Hyrule alive and make it as vast and vibrant as possible. Go for an Epic Wes for this beloved franchise. We need a good, immersive, serious and fun fantasy movie (or at least i need it). Give your best like you did on Apes. I hope you will stay with Weta for Zelda. They are so good at worldbuilding. I trust you! P.S. Reach for the moon! ;)

This is purely spectacular! Wish we could have you direct some more movies like the Maze Runner, shorts like Ruin, or anything sci-fi even of a 2 minute duration will do like ughh we're all ready to wait even if it means for ages.

It wouldn't take very much to turn this into a suitable opening for a Zelda movie. It starts with Link silently foraging through the ruins of a Hylian town, then he has to escape from Moblins or something.
Dude I’m on a Wes Ball marathon right now, watching his movies and projects just to see what I can expect from the upcoming Zelda film. I wouldn’t do this in a million years whatsoever but the Zelda franchise is really special to me.
What I’m really worried is having Sony and Avi Arad working together. Seeing how Arad is known for producing everything Spiderman from the Maguire trilogy to No Way Home, there is a super high chance of having Tom Holland as Link. Tom is great as Spiderman but if he actually gets casted as Link then that’ll be just very sad and a big F u to Zelda fans.

@@artagle_14 I think the chances Tom Holland gets cast as Link are very high, unless the movie is so far out that he'll simply be too old by the time they get around to filming it. Nintendo is going to want to aim for the biggest bucks possible with this movie, and that means shooting for the biggest stars. Tom Holland, especially considering his ties to Sony, is high up on that list. Again, I think the most serious issue might be his age by the time they finally make this movie. If not for that, I'd almost consider him to be a slam dunk.

Wow I wish this had been made into a full length version. I actually look this up after watching the real life hover testing complilation video of the drones. ((Exoatmospheric Kill Vehicles) Hover Test) made way back the late 80's ... This animation was mentioned in the comments.
