Being a Proud UAPBGOLDENLION That's from the Mississippi Delta I love this. It reminds me of the 80's and 90's when the SWAC filled stadiums and gave a damn good show. This was great for tv. Congrats braves now I have to hear this all damn week... #wearingmyuapbshirttomorrow

Hosting the SWAC championship on the campus of the highest ranking team is financially smarter. There aren't enough strong traveling fanbases in the SWAC to keep it at a neutral site and even if you do a neutral site Houston is the best option because unlike Birmingham, Houston is a city with a nice downtown culture and attractions but conference championship games only look good in an NFL stadium if you can at least pack the bottom bowl and unfortunately not every fan base travels like Southern. It looks great for TV to have packed out home stadiums. The only possible tweak would be to switch the hosting site by division. One year the champion of the west hosts and vice versa but other than that, it is good for non power-5 schools to hold conference title games on campus. There's a more money coming to the campus and possibly to the surrounding community, positioning SWAC schools as important sources of revenue to their communities.
I say if a neutral site has to be, let it be Shreveport. It's as neutral as it gets😨😨😨

I'm from Birmingham Alabama and i gotta agree. Though the downtown area is being built up for the last couple yrs, & coming to life, i still wouldn't bring it back here, not for a few more years at least. Mainly bc ppl werent willing to travel here for the Swac Championship, which is a little ironic bc they come from all out of state for the MCC. But forget neutral, I kina like having it in the home of the team with best record, i do believe it'll have sellout crowds this way. jmo
I watched this game live, and I do not attend an HBCU but I LOVE BLACK COLLEGE FOOTBALL!!! Games like this keep e watching every week! As soon an I graduate from my PWI I will be buying season tickets to the games. (Most likely Prairie View A&M)

@@flowv3303 I will I wish that both the MEAC&SWAC were both FCS playoff bound I want to see these HBCU schools compete against non HBCU schools!!!!! Only HAMPTON&TENNESSEE ST are in the HBCU family and are playoff eligible in the FCS(1-AA).

The ppl in Birmingham told Alcorn to have their championship at home because they thought "Alabama Roll tide" was going to play Georgia in Birmingham (hoping it will bring in MORE MONEY than SWAC) but they didnt...they decided to have their in Georgia leaving the field in Birmingham open 😂....they went from some money to NO MONEY 😂😂😂....
