I have never commented on any of your videos, but I finally wanted to say thank you for opening up about your struggles. I have been a PB fan and I love how raw and honest you are. I really struggle with mental health. I often compare myself to my friends who are married with children who have good jobs when I am struggling financially (teacher life), struggling in love, and just not feeling enough. At 32 I often feel way behind most of my peers. Even though you are an influencer you openly share your journey with mental health, which has not only been relatable but rare for most people of your popularity. Thank you for being real. Before I get to my video recommendation, because yes, I watched to the end. I wanted to say that I’ve been a fan of yours for over a decade now. Over the years I’ve watched other creators on and off. I’m 25 now, and I don’t have/make as much time as I used to for watching KRplus videos. However, whenever I have a spare moment while eating, folding laundry, etc., I’ll catch up on the videos I missed from both of your channels. I do however listen to Pretty Basic regularly. Although, I’m currently stockpiling the newest season for my 45 minute commutes in September to my first teaching job! I just received my Master’s and I will be teaching high school ELA. I’ve really enjoyed growing up with you Alisha. I remember watching your videos throughout high school and college and now into my adult life. I feel like you are one of my best friends. Thank you for growing up with me! I love you and your newest content as of lately! I can’t wait to catch up on Pretty Basic in the fall! ❤️
Okay, here is my video recommendation. I think you should do the top 20 (or 50 or whatever makes you happiest) essentials in your wardrobe. Imagine that you had to pick only your most favorite clothes. I’ve recently been ‘sparking joy’ in my own closet, and I realized how many clothes I had that didn’t make me feel happy. After clearing out over half of my wardrobe I actually feel lighter and happier. I am now about to begin that process on the rest of the items in my house. I only want to be surrounded by what makes me happiest. I too feel that I am at a transitional point in my life. My personal style, both in attire and home decor, has matured. I’m ‘sparking joy’ in my life to welcome in my next chapter!
I’d be curious to see what your personal favorites are in your closet. What articles of clothing bring you the most joy? Be it, the most comfortable, the most glamorous, whatever makes you feel the most beautiful, happiest, you-est, you. ❤️
