You can tell he's capable of more but conserves his energy for singing. From the dance break on he puts in way more energy and he's a lot sharper in his movements. Taeil is such an underrated dancer because of this, but it's good that SM tries to balance out on both dance and vocals to create the best live performances.

He's one of my favourite dancer in nct bc he knows the right amount of energy to put in his moves. This amount follows the different atmospheres within the song. This is why his dancing is so pleasant to watch. It is not getting boring as he's giving us a well done rollercoaster of different energies. I think putting him more at the front would bring even more depth to their choreos.

Taeil is not at all a bad dancer. SM shouldn’t try to hide him behind everyone else that much, Taeil looks fine on his own. His movements are quite elegant and smooth.
