On Today Show, Leslie explained and talks to Katie Couric about her interview with Jennifer Aniston where she candidly revealed a lot of things about her divorce, her marriage, her husband, her career, her desire to start family and have children, and a lot more. I have nothing but respect for Jennifer Aniston. She is a top-notch person and a top-notch actress. I hope she has an amazing life and much happiness in her future.
The nice, genuine and respectful woman that did the interview with Jennifer and then speaking out about it on the show, revealing a lot of crucial information missing at first and help clearing up a lot, shows you what an amazing human being she is. The interview was amazing, very insightful and like a blessing. Knowing that there was *no* cheating involved in a sexual manner. But that Jennifer and Brad were growing apart due to filming, distances and that they had such a huge different views about Marriage, what it means and for the future that it was enough to make an end to it.
There is no doubt that Brad had a heart of Gold. However, he was probably lacking the intellectual wisdom to know that there are many women out there, but you only choose one and that *marriage* is there to be for one another until death do us part. This was clearly the view of Jennifer as the interviewer explained, but for Brad it was more like, 'we will see where it goes'. Meaning further perhaps that he did not love Jennifer on another level like she did.

Hannah Forster Jennifer does not control what Chelsea says. Chelsea is the only one who still brings it up from time to time, but as everyone knows Chelsea is a loose canon. I'm pretty sure Jen doesn't want Chelsea to say those things, but at the end of the day Chelsea says what she wants to say and Jen can't do anything about it.
The vast majority agrees on that. Also in the way how *despicable* the Fake News Media was acting against her, trying to twist reality and make it believe as if she did *not* want to have children and the reason being that Brad left her. None could be more distant from the truth. If you watch interviews of Jennifer throughout the 90's and early 00's, you are able to see a consistency in her *answers* in regards to having children and becoming a mother. In fact, there was nothing more that she wanted.
It makes sense as well when Jennifer made the admittance in some interview that her dad was *discouraging* her vehemently from an career in acting and rather wanting to have her follow a standard one, like a Stockbroker, Psychologist or a Saleswoman, because of the heartbreak she would suffer and the difficulty of finding your true love would be. After all, Hollywood is *not* your happy place for couples and relationships as we know for the last few decades.
It is easy to see that somewhere deep down inside Jennifer's heart & mind that this is the only disappointment in her life. Having *not* been able to find her own Lobster to this day, as ironically her character was able to do in Friends on the contrary. This is part of the whole issue and why she does *not* have children or a family to this day. Because her normal, natural self still wants to have that one true family that will always be there for her. Having a loving husband always by your side, even in your ugly moments or when you get older and grumpier, while also having the life of your great American family filled with stories, values and progress.

If she said it during the time when they were filming then yes it would be inconsiderate. But if she is recalling the time when she fell in love that is a different thing. In the first part Jen's very real relationship and feelings need to be considered. In the second part Jen's feelings are irrelevant; she is not part of the mix. Any woman is allowed to talk fondly about THEIR husband or partner.

I think it's so sad that he wasn't there for her when Friends ended. That must've been such a poignant moment in not only her career, but her life. And she didn't have the support she needed. God, he wasn't even there for the final taping? That's awful.

Jacob Flores It is hard to disagree with what you state. You exactly point it out. In this interview you were able to see the *grace* and humility that Jennifer possesses once again. Contrary to the one with Diane Sawyer, who was just horrible and *craving* on her raw emotions in a negative way.
It is very true that Jennifer was *restraining* herself from being too outspoken and too negative about the relationship of Brad & Angelina and the status they had back then. She handled it very wise and mature. She could have gone public and *claim* that Brad cheat on her. That would have probably ruined his career. But she was acting the way a woman with a good heart should be, by making the decision to keep her dignity by not lowering herself to the level of the ones that hurt you. Knowing she would not win anything and it would only keep her back in moving on.
It also remains an utter shame to this day that Jennifer has been *unable* to find a soulmate of her own and having a family with loving children too. If you take a look at her in Friends, other movies and interviews in real life, she deserves motherhood more than anyone else. This is the downside of Hollywood and being an actress. Nonetheless, it still does *not* justify the media hating on her the way they did. Making all of these outrageous and disrespectful accusations, such as that she did not want to be a mother and that being the reason Brad left her etc.
In regards to Friends coming to an end, that was a major factor too. All her co-stars on Friends came to admit that Jennifer was the one who had to deal with it the hardest and being the most emotional. After all, it was the show that gave her everything. Recognition, an amazing pay-check and praise for her role as Rachel. It was very unfortunate that this coincided with the moment that Brad was out filming Mr. & Mrs. Smith, which left him unable to *comfort* Jennifer while she was going through this rough time. Perhaps it made her *realize* even more why Brad was not the right guy for her after all, as she was in need of someone who would always be there for her and not falling in love with other women etc.
Jennifer has always seemed like a nice person. If I were her I honestly don't know that I would have been able to hold back my anger towards Brad and Angelina.
I think it just sucks that Brad wasn't there for her when Friends was ending. I mean it was a huge part of her life and clearly important to her. It's clear he didn't get that... either that or he just didn't care.

What eats at me is Angelina said she didn't have anything to do with Brad sexually until he divorced Jennifer because she said her father, Jon Voight had cheated on her mother. Just because she didn't physically sleep with him doesn't mean they were not cheating. There's more to it than just sleeping with somebody. Being emotionally involved, I think is even worse & she played a part in their divorce whether she wants to admit it or not! If she hadn't have came into the picture this wouldn't have happened. He was so cold heartened to Jennifer!

To me just really inspiring, one of countless that are out there where you are able to see her and *understand* why all her co-stars in movies and tv-shows, like Friends most notably, having always praised Jennifer for her grace, dignity and honor that she has always been able to keep through all those tough times. A genuine, good-hearted, down to Earth person. Not your lavish, spoiled, supermodel like person is the reason why so many see her as a continuing source of inspiration.
I remember seeing some little article about the filming of "Smith" as it was just underway, and there was a pic of Brad and Angelina by the trailers and the way they were looking at each other, the smiles, etc., they might as well have been in a bar on Saturday night flirting their behinds off and deciding your place or mine. IDK, I just got a bad feeling when I saw it, and when I heard about the divorce, it was the first thing I thought of. She definitely let him know she was interested and available and the whole married thing didn't bother her a bit. Maybe they are the great loves of each other's lives, but there was another heart involved, and there's a right way to do things, and they didn't do it. So now no matter how long they're together or how many kids they have, their relationship will always smack of something dirty, wrong, deceitful, and it didn't have to be that way. Go Jen!!! Even if she got the man, you still came out the winner.
You're absolutely right! Even during the filming of Mr.& Mrs. Smith there has already been a flirtation that was goin' on. Obviously an extreme sizzling relationship between Brad and Angelina wanting to let go . Though there was no physical yet happenin' between them, but it's very clear that the two had a very strong attraction for each other. And that was the start of betrayal. Watch the offcam scenes behind it....
I love both Angelina and Jennifer. The truth is Brad and Angelina never physically cheated, even Jennifer has said it. I think it's sad how people on the internet judge people they have never met before. Angelina may have done some crazy things in her past but she has changed. She has donated millions of dollars and helped countless people in different countries. She has used her fame to bring awareness to many problems in the world yet you're here judging her when you don't know what fully happened and they did go about it the right way, they got together only after Brad and Jennifer divorced. Let it go, Angelina is happy with Brad and Jennifer is happy with Justin Theroux and she doesn't hold a grudge. These are her recent comments in January:

No, I think the point of this article is that THEY DID begin a physical relationship while he was still married. Either way , Brad had to have known he was falling in love with Angelina, and IMHO, they had an emotional affair in the process. This during a time when Friends was ending, and Jen was joking in interviews that she and Brad planned on starting their family in her dressing room as soon as her last scene was shot. It seemed she was really blindsided by the divorce, my point is Brad should have clued her in as soon as he began having such strong feelings for Angelina, if for no other reason than to spare her the embarrassment of comments like the one I mentioned. COMMUNICATION could have just eased Jen along instead of keeping secrets and then telling her as a fait accompli. That's why it will always have the slime factor to me.

I can't remember who said this quote, so I am going to paraphrase it- life isn't about doing whatever makes you happy. Life is about doing what's is RIGHT and finding happiness in that! If he wasn't happy with Jen, then he should have divorced her and then moved on to Jolie, instead of having an affair, getting his mistress knocked up, and then divorcing his wife. That might have been what made him happy, but like the quote says- it isn't about YOUR happiness. It's about doing the right thing and then finding happiness in that. We live in a society where a person only focuses in their happiness and they seem to think that's all that matters. Hitler was happy doing what he was doing and I'm sure child molesters are happy with what they are doing. So a person's happiness isn't necessarily what one should focus on. They may have gone to counseling prior to the split ? As fans/viewers, we really do not know exactly what happened behind closed doors. I do feel bad for Jennifer Aniston, however, she did marry again, as Brad did, and both ended in divorce. So, I hope they both are now at peace, and can find new romance, at some point, (they should not rush it) to suit their beliefs/values.

Brad is in a way responsible for Jen not having children. They divorced when she was 36. That's pretty hard to remarry and have kids before 40. Not everyone can have kids past 40. It takes time to heal from separation, finding someone you can really have a longlasting relationship with and then have children with. I think she didn't want to just be a mom but also have a stable relationship to invest in.
She should've adopted.

It's been years now, and no one should care about this, but given the tremendous amount of social power given to Brad Pitt and Angeline Jolie, I can't understand, though I try, why these two have halos on their head. All the Unicef work in the world does not erase the fact 'that Jolie trampled on a marriage, and laughed about it, and what's even more troubling is Pitt wasn't too much of a gentleman either, yet Jolie gets blamed more because she's the woman. The whole thing is morally bizarre to me. I'm sure they're good parents, and yes, they do charity work, but they put a human being through tremendous pain and humiliation, and don't seem too concerned about it. It still bothers me, but I'm just one opinion. Life goes on, but I can't watch Pitt or Jolie in a movie. On a very primal level, they seem to symbolize that you can betray someone publically and brutally, and win. It makes me sick. Sorry, just how I feel.

Yeah, I hate to sound like a bible thumper, but I'm way older than you, and I have lived to see "worship of false idols,' as described in the bible. Nah, I think it's more awkward to make up one bold statement of what would surely happen if the roles reversed. Fine, "heart of gold" is a bit much, we all have good and evil in our nature, but in comparison to Jolie, I would say yeah, "heart of gold," also in comparison to who we shed the spotlight to in today's pop culture. I don't know Aniston personally of course, but I have followed her statements and interviews since the 1990s and has always kept her Rachel-esque personality (minus being a clueless middle class worker), keeping composed and graceful in the many difficult interviews she has had to face since her divorce. She doesn't give the press and paparazzi what they want, but anyway the point of my comment was to say that although her divorce was not "unique," and these things "happen all the time," does NOT make it OK. That's just common sense. A side note: people that have actually met her have said she was nothing but down to earth, that you can even look up yourself.
I never paid much attention to this at the time, but I remember hearing about it. I had been a fan of all three. I loved Angelina's work; Brad was aesthetically my ideal guy, and Jennifer was my favorite on Friends. But once all of this took place I could never be attracted to Brad Pitt again, I no longer was a fan of Angelina Jolie; the only one I still like is Jennifer Aniston.

Although I pray for all of them, my heart remains with Jennifer because we all know how it feels to have our hearts broken! I believe that she knew love and commitment much better than Brad did. Only Jesus can love us with that faithful, unfeigned love that we are seeking. Our spouses fall short of that often as do we, but Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever! Agree! In interviews back in the 90's and even to this day you can see the genuine, loving and down-to-Earth character of Jennifer. Also her intelligence and wisdom in the way that she spoke about certain subjects such as having a family. She has sure always been dreaming of one. Even in the 90's when she was dating someone else before Brad, she honestly came to admit that she was looking forward to having the husband, the house and the children to be one big happy family. As Lisa, one of her co-stars on Friends came to admit: _"She is one big throbbing heart."_ Undoubtedly she was able to give a lot of love. Yet, Brad and many others failed to *reciprocate* that or be wise enough being able to take their relationship to another level.
I give Jennifer so much credit for being so gracious. Brad you really don’t know what you had.

I think what was so upsetting was that Jen was the girl next door, the girl everyone loved. Guess that's why we all feel so invested in her pain and want to share it, almost as if sharing would make it easier for her.
Roshii Senn That was one factor. The other one is that in Hollywood her personality is a rare exception. It is hard to find someone as attractive, funny and down to earth as she is. It explains why so many people want to see her happy, have a family and be a mother. Yet, she was in a lot of self-doubt and showing it very easily with her lifestyle and her appearance. Jennifer never appeared satisfied for who she was. She deserves better on all ends. Unfortunately it was not given.

Thing is, Brad seems to be friends with all of his exes. even Aniston's good friend said he was honest with her and did not think he had an affair. I dont believe he meant for anynof this to happen. I was emotionally cheated on, and it hurt like hell, but here it is years later and she and my ex are still madly in love with each other and have three kids. He couldn't help (or plan on) meeting the love of his life while being with me. I can't begrudge him that. Now, if it was just a fling or just list or looking for someone younger or hotter...that would have made it worse. But what they have is real and they really are great for each other. It took me a long time to get over it, but I can't demonize him for finding true love that just happened to not be with me.

Jennifer never "used" Chelsea as a mouthpiece, the fact is that Chelsea is a vile human being both inside and outside and likes to run her mouth, unlike Jen. She has no class or common decency whatsoever, I couldn't understant how these two became friends in the first place because they look like complete opposites to me but whatever. Jen probably just confided some things in her as you usually do with your friends.

I think this one if the reasons many of the cast of Friends don´t want to have a reunion( and im spreaking particullarly about Jennifer) is because friends ended almost when Mr and Mrs Smith started filming. and as the lady said, she needed somenone when the show was ending becuase it was tooe motional for her. maybe Friends brings back all those memories of what she lived with Brad and specially the time she lost him.
Good argument. Considering that Brad indeed committed emotional cheating as the interviewer says when he was absent during Jennifer's very difficult time of filming Friends' final episodes. However, Jennifer has since then grown so strong and has come so far. She even said recently that she and the rest of her co-stars on Friends plan on doing something when the show will come on HBO Max.
Sometimes people fall out of love, or realize their marriage is a mistake that won't fulfill them. Apparently this is what happened to Brad Pitt. And it was no fault of Jennifer's - a beautiful woman who deserves to be cherished and loved. I don't fault Brad for discovering that this was true for him, but rather for the evidently skulking, evasive, cowardly way he handled it, which unnecessarily added more to Jennifer's pain. She at least deserved his honesty. Lacking a sensitivity chip indeed.
A very interesting point of view you state and it is a valid one. The way in which Brad handled the divorce and then immediately ending up with Angelina was very unprofessional. Almost *dickish* in the way how he was in love with Angelina and having babies, while Jennifer was still alone back home without a partner and needing comfort the most. What made matters worse was that Friends had come to an end the year before. Meaning she could *not* rely on the support of her co-stars like she used to have, with the exception of Courteney Cox maybe. It was a terrible moment happening at an awful timing.
I do understand nonetheless why Brad fell in love with Angelina. They seemed to share more *common* interests with each other and also had a similar view on life. Jennifer on the contrary was more humble, down-to-earth and *genuine* than the both of them. There is absolutely *nothing* wrong with wanting to have the typical American family life like she did. To have her own lobster and mate for life you could always rely on. Some might have said this made Jennifer boring, but in reality it does *not* justify for Brad to continue going after Angelina after you've made the decision during your wedding *vows* that you will be there for each other through sickness and health.
This didn't count for Brad. And the exact reason why, even though he is still a good man, he made a stupid choice by not staying with Jennifer.
What goes around, comes back around. I hope you feel all the anguish and sadness poor Jen felt when you stole her husband. As for the ugly Brad, hope you get what you deserve. Once a cheater always a cheater.

No one makes me laugh, love or cry more than he. That being said, no one makes me more angry, frustrated, and annoyed than him. We have so many amazing times together. And we also argue about dumb shit. It’s not always fun and good, but being able to get through those rough patches is what makes our relationship even more bonded.

If you listen to Angelina's previous interviews she gives it away. Her mother was devastated and it greatly affected Angelina's childhood.

Why marry, if you are going to leave when things aren't hunky dory. There is no point in marriage, without a commitment, that is why most vows say in sickness & in health. Any relationship will have its ups & downs. I watched my uncle & aunt stay together & stay in love for over 50 plus years. Their son was murdered by his wife an illegal alien from Eastern Europe that had lied about her age & was not able to have children. They were devastated but stayed together while my uncle was at war during WW2 & when my aunt got heart surgery, they cocooned themselves against the world. The saddest part was my uncle getting Alzheimer's. They were a wonderful couple & I miss them everyday.
