I am the twin, and the middle child. I can somehow be teased by someone half my age and older by a minute. At this point we have been through so much that itโs all in good fun. We never stay mad. Give it 5 minutes and one of us is over it. Another 5 and we forget what the issue was and are goofing off. Being a twin has always felt like a gift. You always have someone to talk to, you always have a player 2 and 3. although we all like to think we are player 1.

As someone who is/was an identical twin.. I remember the bond I had. I remember understanding the sounds she made. It still feels like she's on the edge of me.
I find it ironic that these conjoined twins actually seem further away from eachother... Maybe it's because my sister and I didn't get as much time to spend together that we ended up so attuned to one another..
And it was mutual. There was a sound she'd make for me, and I can still hear it's echo 40 years later...
They are not further away... they are closer than any other type of twin because they are literally spending every second together. Itโs impossible to not be bonded

Identical twins start out as a single fertilized egg that splits into two fetuses. Conjoined twins literally never completely finished separating into two.
Mirror twins are identical twins that just barely missed being conjoined. Often they look like each other's mirror image and one tends to have organs in the wrong place etc. but they did split into two fetuses.
I am a mirror twin.
Then there are "just" identical twins (lol "just") who from one sperm and egg ended up becoming two people..
Fraternal twins happen when more than one egg is fertilized at the same time, so infants share a womb but they were never just one "being".. their genetic code is as different as that of any siblings, but they did share in utero time etc.
Reabsorbed twins "vanishing twin syndrome" can be either identical or fraternal.
So all in all, it might also have just been luck of the draw that my twin and I were similar in more than appearance..
I should probably mention here that I'm also a bit of an idiot, because occasionally I'm amazed my older brother and I are similar as well โบ๏ธ
(We didn't grow up together).
I know not even all identical twins are all that similar, personality wise.. some are and some aren't.. but I wonder how we would have been now, if she was here with us..
Still.. the memory has become a warm one over the years.. I just really do miss her..

So basically, fraternal twins come from two separate eggs in the womb and are fertilized by two separate sperm, so they have the same amount of dna as two regular siblings. Identical twins come from the same egg that was fertilized by the same sperm and split, which is why they share all their dna. Conjoined twins comes from the same egg that split but didnโt fully split, and are fertilized by the same sperm. Which means that 100% of conjoined twins are identical

I think โnormalโ is more or less whatโs average. It doesnโt mean not being โnormalโ is bad, or on the other side that being โnormalโ is bad. The problem is people fear what they donโt know and what they donโt understand, and that creates this caricature of what is is to be โabnormalโ.
Lupita is legit hilarious. I almost never laugh out loud when I'm alone watching a video but she had me full on belly laughing multiple times in this video. I don't really watch standup comedy ever but I would totally watch a Carmen and Lupita comedy act.

The fact that he never really used the word โnormalโ and instead said โindividualโ as someone with a chronic illness, I despise when people use the word normal. Carmen and Lupita are so sweet and sassy, and I really resonate with them. I hate that they wonโt always want to do KRplus but I completely understand it too (get out while you can lol) I just love their personality so much, I can totally see them living off grid with a bunch of baby animals!

I never watched a single thing of Smosh and assumed the guys from it were kind of extra af but this guy is somehow one of the most respectful and considerate hosts I've seen for interviews, like in general. So many ask the worst questions or have absolutely no chemistry but this guy keeps it interesting while not being a dick.

Nah they've been around since the beginning of KRplus, from the time when people were making videos for fun. They started off making videos because it was their hobby and got extremely lucky that KRplus took off.
The extra AF people didn't hop on and start throwing around their mom and dad's money until the 2010s showed that being a social media influencer could be a career choice.
He is a really good interviewer.
2011 - 2014 was peak Smosh. Good times, definitely recommend a watch but some of their skits probably haven't aged too well if you get offended easily ๐คฃ
The other guy, Ian, is also like that when he shows up in podcasts and interviews. You don't work as a content creator for over a decade without any controversy without being kind and respectful people.

Me and my partner feel the same. We have so much trauma and too many mental/physical health issues to feel comfortable having children.
Do you guys think thereโs anything to be said for learning from those traumas and being a better parent? My parents sucked but I feel like that has taught me so many things not to do that Iโm going to be a great parent someday. I guess it kinda depends on youโre perspective on life
@@braukwood925 I think there absolutely is merit to that. My mom was raised in an abusive household and had a lot of personal issues but she had been a fantastic parent to me. But I (and my husband) have the added baggage of being physically and mentally disabled with Genetic conditions. We canโt in good conscience pass those on, even if we desired children. I think if you can grow and learn from your trauma and break the cycle itโs absolutely something you should do. I hope all the best for you and your family, current or future.
I can admit I think Iโm too selfish to be a mother and only take care of myself the best I can; so for that reason and the fear of them growing and losing them or something bad happening to them at any moment is horrifying. Knowing a pets life is in my hands is scary and serious enough for me lol itโs a whole being. I canโt do it
