Ugh I just love you!!โค๏ธ๐งก๐๐๐๐
Aalayahโs classmates had to go back to school two weeks after the shooting and they still havenโt cleaned up the crime scene? That is seriously screwed up.
Since the trial hasn't actually started it's probably to preserve evidence. The building is likely closed as well, at least I would hope so. It would definitely help preserve the crime scene, and also avoid making the students and faculty relive the trauma.
Itโs terrible but I get it because it is a crime scene. Iโm glad they at least provided accommodations for the students like therapy dogs and all.
Police donโt clean up crime scenes it is either left for the people in this case, the schools job to clean it themselves or call a private crime scene cleanup crew and have them clean it.
right they shouldโve waited til someone had come and cleaned up and offered a month of online classes before coming back
I go to MSD. They closed off the buildings and had an investigation. The kids were only in the auditorium, along with the cafeteria, away from where it took place. They didn't do school for the rest of most of the year. They came back to school and had half days on the days they went back. They went back so that they could be with each other, and be there for each other during those times. It was very sad.
As much as people donโt like online schooling, a pro is that school shootings are near impossible.

My aunt was in the Las Vegas shooting, and she has never forgotten it. Every 4th of July, she retreats to her room, with noise cancelling headphones, and cries. A person who survived Columbine had spoken at my school. His sister was the first one to die. Her name was Rachel, and she was known to be one of the most positive human beings in the school. Not-so-fun fact: My best friend/Roommateโs girlfriend is a survivor of the Parkland shooting. Iโd say her and I are pretty decent friends as well. She has massive PTSD from it. She said the bodies prevented folks from leaving through the conventional exit and the shooter used the fire alarm to draw students out. I was at the movies with some friends including her when someone pulled the fire alarm and we had to step out, she had a whole breakdown from it. My best friend had to console her for a while before she calmed down. Sad that even survivors have to battle the demons they never asked for

during a drill my 9th grade teacher told us all the flaws in the way our classroom was built as to where the shooter could enter and told us to know if we were to die to go down fighting. losing your life to injure the attacker could save the lives of others. she told us to use our bags as sheilds and was as straight forward and realistic as possible. kinda like trying to get us to understand how serious it was.

That is precisely. How school shooters come to exist. They're paid no mind throughout their childhood, even harmed by their parents or guardians. They're treated like trash. @@shesaballer35 so the main misconception is with buying guns online is you assume a background check is not required. this is false because the gun has to be shipped to an ffl who will conduct a background check when you pick up the gun. regarding the gun show, any commercial sellers are required to be an ffl dealer. so yes they must conduct background checks. the only situation where a background check is not required is when two private citizens living in the same state make a trade involving a firearm. this does not involve the gun show and can be done anytime and anywhere. the fact that you don't need a license to own a gun is because it's a right, not a privilege. meaning it cannot be taken away.
