I think it was just a joke that landed badly
There is a sort of...language in fashion that LGBT+ people utilize to signal to other LGBT+ people that they're part of the community. Think of a stereotypical lesbian who wears flannel and beanies. We do this because shouting "Are you queer?! I'm queer too!" can be incredibly dangerous depending on where you are and what type of people are around. That said, I'm also not sure how Kristen's outfit signals that she's bi. But to be fair, the only the only item of clothing I know of that's supposed to signal bisexuality is the leather jacket, which I know Kristen has several of
