First you have to loosen deez nuts, which are located just under the drivers seat.

Having absolutely no automotive knowledge whatsoever, but researching custom parts for my own car including coil over suspension...this is BY FAR the absolute best explanation and demonstration I have seen EVER. You sir are an excellent mechanic and instructor. Thank you for this video. I now know that I don’t in fact need coil over suspension due to your explanation. I just subscribed to your channel too.

I’ve been working on cars all my life. I don’t need everything to be broken down. However I really appreciate him breaking literally everything down into detail. This is so helpful for someone looking into getting into cars and someone who might not have grown up doing it. I also like how safety was always priority in this video. The way he broke it down was also really easy to follow, gave good visuals with great instruction. Keep up your videos. I have learned from you as well so thank you
as level 3 industrial lead technician I appreciate the hell out of all the fine details, amazing work chris your level of details and teaching people these tricks to get it right is insane and things not many people would think of, ive seen people in their 40s-60s in my field that are clueless. Just out of curiosity, do you use air tools, battery powered, or AC powered? A possible video idea would be what power tools to buy first to maximize "bang for the buck" and also what types are best and or most cost effective.

hey chris just wanted to say that i love ur videos and I was actually able to use the knowledge that you have shared irl today. i was at a mcdonalds when someones suspension had broken, I was able to disassemble everything and put it back together properly and get the car driving again in like 30 minutes with only using one jack and 2 wrenches. Just goes to show that your work is actually making an impact :)

I used to like MCM, but they look too much staged.
I tried when I saw them at SEMA. I called them into my booth when they had their Subarute in the car parade. They just waved and drove by. ChrisFix and Carthrottle had a booth together asking cars to come in and tell us about their car. It would have been too perfect. I think they were just busy or overwhelmed and didnt realize or something. Maybe in the future tho! I'm trying!

Hey I love your videos! Just a little tip and I'm not sure it applies to all manufacturer but you should loosen the control arm bolts so that the bushing from the lower control arms doesn't get prematurely torn. When the pinch bolt is still tight while the control arm goes down, you're twisting the bushing to a point where it gets torn. But all in all, lobe your video.

FINALLY! Someone who gave me a proper explanation to what these do exactly & what part does what. I can finally fix my car with some simple adjustments instead of an expensive replacement. Excellent video as usual!! A trick I like to use when lowering the Jack to remove the spring (etc), is a folded up (heavier the better) moving blanket wrapped around the area. It’s a simple cheap and quick bit of extra insurance in case she does want to pop!

I put coil over springs on the rear of my Mach 1 Mustang 40 years ago. Air shocks would wrap around shock since it was stem to stem. Expanded the stock type shocks as far out as they go and clamped springs on them. Compressed and installed. This give extra ride height and a little smoother ride on the rough country roads of Tennessee back then.
ChrisFix is the reason I started working on my car instead of taking it to the mechanic. Thank you so much for the awesome videos!!
