I thought this one should take 5W-40 European formula specially in Los Vegas warm weather. 5W-30 kinda surprised me.
Yes I think in the past they had cold flow problems so they favored the cold flow because up to 80% of the way in a motor is during the cold start.
You'll see some videos where they start on fire when it's cold and they rev the motor to warm it up then it starts on fire.....
The one joke how do you know when a Italian sports car is wormed up? When it's on fire ๐ฅ.....lol

Great work! What a pain in the azz for a oil change though jeeez ahahah. Crazy how it only take 5W30 I thought it would take at least 5W40
Yeah they're finding that the most wear on a motor is during the cold start and it's more important to have that oil flow so now a lot of manufacturers are going to a 5W30 if it's not being track driven or if it's being swapped out for track days then they mostly recommend a 15w50 racing oil.
The dangerous part is when you run a 15w50 racing oil that's got mineral oil in it if you ever take it below freezing you can have massive oil starvation which can be catastrophic burning out bearings needle bearings racking pistons and completely burning up the motor and/or even causing a fire.
You'll see a lot of funny videos where people jump in a Lamborghini where it's cold out and they started up and they start revving it well the oil filter doesn't flow right when it's cold and it could be clogged because it was too many miles on it They were start revving the motor to get a warm and then all of a sudden it starts on fire ๐๐
The guy who said Costco has the worse gas doesn't know what he is talking about. It is literally some of the best you can get in the states and it is Top Tier graded.
That's what I used to think until I did a personal test on my Uber lift car.
2011 Honda Accord I did a 20,000 mi oil change during that interval I did a lot of different tests with gasoline the lowest quality one that I could find was an Arco gas station here in Las Vegas.
One of the other worst ones was I believe Phillips 76.
The best one that I got the best fuel mileage was Chevron the difference between the the Arco and the Chevron was about 1.7 average miles per gallon difference.
Also there is a huge difference in horsepower as well never had a chance to get on the dyno but I could definitely tell a monster difference.
I personally have never used Costco.

since this is a summer car, you should have taken a Fully synthethic 10W60 oil. 5W30 is the same viscosity as my 15 years old Audi. I mean, it's not wrong, but it ain't the best suited oil for these hot high performance engines.
Beautiful cah! But yes, that's called dry-sump cars. A pain in the butt to change the oil on. I'm not sure I would have put the flush in it because of the very specific engine it has, that couldn't stand a slightly different viscosity from what it's designed for plus it is low mileage, and it's Italian so... not Camry-robust, but I hope Hamlet gives us an update on how it works out for that car ๐
If one day you have the chance to do it on a Bugatti, sorry, it will be even harder... ๐

The oil times out with age also carbon build up forms right away because the oil that came in that car has mineral oil in it in the mineral oil burns and oxidizes and it leaves build up in and throughout the motor around the timing chain rings everywhere

@Julio Serna, the Huracan had approx 13,500 miles and 15 months since last oil change! So definitely was time to do it.

I would never use castrol
Over the years I've talked to a lot of people on the channel and it turns out the Castrol edge ended up being one of the better oils.
Definitely hard to believe how big of a difference there are between motor oils this will show you how fastly different they are.

Yeah I think it would have been ideal to drain it from the main reservoir first and then scatter out to all the little teeny parts.
Really I would be willing to bet at the dealership they don't even drain those little teeny parts I bet they just drain the mean sump change the filter and just dump fresh oil in and kick it out the door.
I'd be willing to bet they do an oil change on that car in 30 minutes flat at the dealership.
The great thing is at the dealer is they can't prove anything so even if they only change seven of the 10 quarts and put a new filter on there's no proof that they didn't drain all the other plugs and no one's going to go underneath their look and it is what it is.
The technicians can get that job done in a half hour go out smoke cigarettes come back after a test drive and they still get paid the same because they completed the task reset the computer ๐ช๐๐ฏ
