Actually the movie was not based on actual facts. See his 1985 interview with Wigg where he is fairly satisfied with the album. Brian may and roger taylor were simply jealous that his solo work was far more successful hence made freedie look unhappy in the movie.

alissa a. this album is from 1985 ..... what most likely happened is the copyright ran out and the author ( in this case, mercury ) is not around to renew the copyright --so now its out of print. it might be available in the UK but not anywhere in the US :(( also because this is a solo album, not something he did with queen, it'll probably never be re-released.

When this album came out, I was in a hospital, My wife and some friends who came to pick me up and drove me home (after spending a few weeks in that hospital) had this song taped for me and played it on my way home, I remember that like it was yesterday :-) Cassette tape .. ha ! Flintstones era :-)

I bought this tape in 1985 when travelling through the UK & Europe - my 1st overseas trip - fond memories of a quality singer & showman.
Freddie having a bad day in the recording studio would be considered a world class, A grade performance today.
One of the most underrated Freddie sings I've listened to(in my opinion)
I've been a queen fanatic for 30 years... In my early stages of obsession... At the early stages of the internet, pre social media, pre YT, I used to frequent Queenzone. To this day I still don't know the name of the generous soul who copied me a copy of this album and sent it to me in the post. I remember getting it within days and can still remember playing it for the first time. Loved it. Big thanks!!! So happy they remastered it.
