Clemson was an underdog to New Mexico, Baylor and Arizona. In those three wins, Tigers trailed for a grand total of 50 seconds.

I’m going to say this as nice as possible to the NCAA March Madness KRplus channel: “Please stop putting the winner of the game on the video’s thumbnail!!” I have yelled more obscenities than I would like to admit because you all keep doing this over and over when I don’t want to know who won before I watch the game. I'm so happy for Clemson and my cousin Terrell McIntyre who is one of the coaches and he also played for Clemson so congratulations guys and a good win for the ACC
Terrell was a great guard with tremendous skill and heart. I used to love to watch him play. James Mays was also on that talented team iirc, though I can't recall the other standouts off the top of my head. So happy to hear Terrell is part of this ferocious squad.
@@jasongray2431 Greg Buckner, Vincent Whitt,Antoine Jamison was all on that team also and Terrell & Jeff Capel played against each other in highschool and college because you know Jeff Capel played for Duke and Terrell freshman year they beat Kentucky and Kentucky was ranked like #3 at the time and they knocked out UNC in the ACC tournament his freshman year and he had 30pts that game

Excuse me but the CBS announcers clearly wanted Arizona to win.
As an Arizona fan just want to thank Bradley for actually showing up and wanting to win. Carried Arizona this game while everyone else was sleeping. Ballo gets a shout out but his free throws were absolute trash. I think he made maybe one free throw out of 10+. Clemson hands down deserved that win.

Chase Hunter got mugged all game (see layup at 3:50 that their dude fouled him on). Multiple just like that. Nobody in college almost airballs a layup unless it’s blocked or they are fouled. Not calling the offensive on 11 for Arizona at the 7:55 mark. Then calling PJ hall for a foul when he had his arms up and was backing out of the way on a lay up at 8:17.
This game would have gotten out of hand had the refs not been asleep.

Why is everyone still shocked that Arizona lost? Arizona has been the top seed for the past years and have lost every year in depressing fashion. They’re the biggest flops. Purdue is next. They lose every year. Gonzaga might pull it off… they got a winning culture
Gonzaga has been overrated many years as well, and have choked plenty. No. 1 seed year in and year out for years, with nothing to show for it but 1 championship game...which they should have won. Yeah, arizona got pass the first 3 because they were beatable teams...but when they get to the top seeds.its a whole different story...😅
Charles Barkley in the studio years back said the first week of the tournament the players win you games. From the second week on that’s when the coaches win games meaning they have an actual game plan set up for the players to execute like any other game plan but you make tweaks during the game to see what is working and what is not. First week is a feeling process to get the players accumulated in a different environment with a one game setting. You tend to get excited and nervous so sometimes it takes a about a good amount of the first half for some teams to find there mojo and calm them down before settling into the game. Second week is when the teams have actual game video on you and can critique and analyze what each team will actually do and take that away. Tommy Lloyd does a good job of making half-time adjustments but his issue is the Xs and Os. When one team finds out what they are doing that coach adjusts and takes it away or sees what his team on the defensive side is taking away and they adjust and take what Tommy Lloyd is giving them. It’s pretty much making adjustments on the fly. If you look at all 3 games in which Tommy Lloyds teams were eliminated what was there weakness on the offensive side? Perimeter shooting. Clemson dared Arizona to shoot 3s and they did. 28 shots was too many for a team that usually takes less than 20. Why is that? Because Clemson early in the game took away there inside game. They forced passes that weren’t there and lead to extra possessions. On the defensive side what was there weakness? There centers Oumar Ballo and Krivas (I think I spelled it wrong). Clemson had a stretch 4 and stretch 5 who can hit 3s. Arizonas centers tend to stay in the paint in order to protect the rim but it left open the three point shooters and when they were hitting they had to come out and guard. When they did, the bigs for Clemson were beating them off the dribble leading to layups. Then in the second half Clemson started to act like they were screening when they didn’t screen the actual defender and roll to the basket for dunks and layups. Arizona is not a defensive team, they are an offensive team. If they play in the half-court they will more than likely lose. They have too many breakdowns on defense and tend to have horrible communication when it comes to switching or guarding.

His reputation now precedes him unfortunately. He was the Pac 12 player of the year and he was efficient this season, he wasn't efficient in this game obviously. You gotta be fair to the kid..
@@shawna7813 Love wasn't efficient in all 3 tournament games. Love had a better season but I wouldn't call it efficient. He averaged about 15 shots per game but only averaged 6 made shots per game. Love forces things on offense rather than taking what the defense gives him. There were only 2 games this whole season where he didn't have double digit shot attempts.
