I work for Eaton (specifically in the prototype sector) and the supercharger rattle is a common problem. The bearings and everything inside that blower were more than fine, but the couplers are known to wear out and rattle. For anyone who runs into this problem, just replace that coupler. Its a lot easier, much cheaper and designed to be serviceable.
Edit: Removed top part. Obviously a lot of ppl have seen this. Best wishes everyone and thanks to BIFB for the quality content!!!
To the top gents!
Thank you
was an easy fix on my Eaton Gen III M90.
Whats service life for the internals? I’m sure that one was due for overhaul. I assume first oil change for the unit.
people like you are the reason I love this community on BIFB’s page
Does anyone else miss the days of OG Chris, you know the Chris that would spend the first 30 seconds of the video telling us with great confidence what he thought he was going to achieve in the video, followed by us watching 30 minutes of him not doing it...
Well I think that did actually happen last video.
@Ross Bourne same
You guys remember when he had a R35 GTR?

That's cause he was trained as a software dev.

Should epoxy the garage floor. Cement floors give off a ton of dust.
That's why you wash down the floor, so the dust stays down. They need better ventilation. You can see the amount of spray in the air is terrible.
@@thatguy.42 or just epoxy them an leaf blow /mop them when there dirty 👀
Epoxied floors are extremely slippery, versus bare cement that sucks in the water instead of puddling.
@@Adierit if you add shark grip or comparable products it won’t be slick
As long as you don't look at those door gaps... Turned out good 🤣
I love this channel but they take shortcuts and lazy/cheaper approaches to things that they don’t want to spend anymore time with. Shame too because they have the best ideas in the automotive KRplus world.
This is the most hacked together build I have ever seen, you can buy the aftermarket body panels to do this for less than $2k. They aren't as good quality as the oem ones but at least they will fit.
@@Blue_Flame_Raptor if you really wanted to you could add a couple layers to the aftermarket ones and make them better/stronger than stock. This swap makes no sense why they tried to use oem panels that simply don't fit. After everything they did it looks terrible. I'd feel like a dipshit driving around after the hack job they did.
@@jcbuilds3648 not to mention there isn't really a reason to do it. Why would anybody want their limited production truck to look like one they made hundreds of thousands of?
@@Blue_Flame_Raptor its still raptor panels...
Chris: We are gonna fixe the 4wheel drive locker
Also Chris: By we I mean Oscar
I think he missed the lights on the grill.
Hope he remembered to wire in the 3 clearance lights in the grill.
The bottom bulbs on the headlights are the high beams 😂
Beat me to it...
I was looking to see if someone had already said it. Thank you lol
Was also about to comment on that.
Facts
It just doesn't matter those lights are going blind everyone high or low ... but yeah I got a good chuckle too....LoL
It looks awesome! But what about the 3 little lights that are on top of the grille? They need to work!
Agreed
That front end looks awesome now that it's painted! But i think it really needs a new front bumper to finish the look! 👀
DIY helper tip... wear a fresh tyvek suit to work in. Your clothes have super fine silicates from your laundry detergent. Just standing around them after the final clean will shed those onto the part causing pin holes in the paint.
Good tip !
Finally, been waiting with my instant noodles for this.
dude same thing HAHAHAHAHA
So worth it tho
Got chicken or beef flavor?
Haha so true

Oscar is amazing. Everyone needs a Oscar.

That paint job is bananas good, well done!!!
Great job.
That blue looks awesome. 👍
BTW. I like the new look but a direct comparison before vs. after would have been nice at the end. I'm just nitpicking.
This show should be called " O is for OSCAR" the man that always comes throw .
I think you guys did a great job everyone critiques every little thing like the door fender gap and the three lights on the front that nobody knew if they worked or not . Remember this is a shop truck to work out of not a show truck and from day one when you got the thing its definitely way more awsome id be proud of it man . You guys rock love your content .
Yeah but should still fix the fender door gap. What’s the point of doing all that work if your gonna do it half ass? I’m not trying to roast or talk smack but seriously why not put a little bit more work and make it look right?
Definitely should try to fab the 17 bumper on to the front as well it'll complete the look imo.
Nerf bumper would look better
It will never fit, look how much the frame sticks out past the body
i mean you have to love how much work they do themselves. painting fabricating troubleshooting. especially when you see people with way bigger shops sending a ton of stuff out to do that stuff.
Looks great! I love that blue color and am happy you kept it!
Great to see you finally get some good results with paint... I have been really avoiding some painting, this gives me more confidence.
That fender to door transition looks like it is just asking for water intrusion... Did he address that somewhere and I missed it?
The fender is just mounted on the outside really, the water cant get through there.
I don’t think it was addressed. Even if it turned out to be water tight, details like that kinda bug me. 😕
He said he'll take care of the gap but then he painted the fenders as is so I guess that answers your question
Love front end swap on the Raptor looks awesome awesome job! So glad you went with the blue. I love that ford blue!
Glad you kept it blue! Awesome job!
I love how you guys use cheap harbor freight tools and still do such a good job.
Looks great, looking forward to watching the next step in the boat re-power.
What a nice result, congrats B
The final product looks awesome!
Turned out really nice guys. Great job.
Finally! I've been waiting for this episode forever! Good job guys. Have you considered adding some matching male + female plugs to the headlight harness so you'd be able to easily disconnect if needed?
Man I remember the old projects you guys tried to paint and man you guys have come a long way cool to see congrats guys
I'm really excited about the boat as much as I'm bummed about it getting the ls swap
That truck came out great!!! Awesome job! Nothing cooler than a supercharged ford raptor!
Nice, a car channel doing car stuff - crazy right! Upgrade looks awesome, I would of colour matched the wide fender panels seeing as you had the gun and paint out anyway but solid job.
Things haven’t been the same since elenor
👍🏽
SSSShhhhh you can't say the name!!!1

What do you mean?
@@AgaetiAlex feels like so much more was happening on his channel before the elenor car was scrapped
That's a good looking update to the truck. Nice
spray on "Evenly Dirty " could be a B brand product opportunity lol
awesome job! looks amazing!
Paint looks great!
Looks great guys. Good tips for us DIY painters👍
Wow, awesome transformation! Badass👍
Body gaps look horrid from door to fender from what was shown. Kinda disappointed and curious why that wasn't shown more.
That is the B is for Build way. Do everything about 85%.
@@silviodante9975 unfortunately you may be right
I think we know why it wasn't shown more lol. B is for Hack, has been since day one.
It looks like it's because the fenders are a different shape (profile) to the 2015 doors (the crease in the door is not on the fenders at all)
B is for Butcher it
The Truck came out great I would love to upgrade the front end of my truck but that looks like more work than i'm willing to put in but great job guys!
raptor front end upgrade turned out awesome!
Before you compound the bonnet (hood!) you need to sand the dust nibs with something like 2000 grit wet n dry paper. Plenty of warm soapy water, knock the nibs off, then a quick sand all over, then buff, and the results will be awesome.
"soapy wooterrrr"
LOL Love that
You should use grey scotchbrite with a rubbing paste after using the 400grit. Two benefits, evens out the sanding scratches (so you don't see the finger marks) and cleans the panel at the same time.
Love projects like these!
I totally thought the specks in the light on the hood were part of the metallic paint lol
Love the progress, great looking truck.
Love the new look, great job as always. Seems like you need a little more ventilation in the booth :)
I’m very impressed with how thorough you guys were with that headlight replacement job. Good job is for build! 😂
Cool results. May i suggest adding connectors for the head lights. Just to make them serviceable. Some delphi waterproof ones
Wicked! Well done guys. 👍👍👍
B is for Build is the best channel. Have a good day 🤘
We need a shop tour!
Yeah! B is for Build!
I love the modest looking blue
Loving it 💟
Great work!!
I think you wired in the high beams when driving home from the restaurant if I’m not mistaken (which is why they’re so high, they don’t need adjusting)
Good job
Looks great
I would’ve sanded that better, all repair areas in 320 then spot high build primer and then final sanded the entire parts flat with 400 then 600. After sanding hit all edges with grey scotchbrite to ensure a proper mechanical adhesion, then a wet on wet coat of sealer and base, finish off your base coverage and clear coat, I always use a slower reducer than what my ambient temps require which will allow it to flow a bit better and don’t have to worry about it flashing off too fast. Slower is always faster when painting because you avoid mistakes and allow the paint to do its thing, definitely getting better with your painting. I’d suggest taking a certification course with the paint manufacturer you use the most, helped me out a ton to learn from the manufacturer how to best apply their products. Turned out great.
Great job.
I love the videos Chris puts out
Love the content missed you guys!
Just planned to check bisforbuild and here we go :D nice
Can’t wait to see the Raptor going offroading🔥
He and Dr. Matt from Demo Ranch should do the Texas Raptor Run
Fuck that! I wanna see the 240z rip around a track
Ooh yea me too
very good job, you have the link where to buy the complete kit that you show in video to change the face of the raptor 2014 .
on ebay or something please.....
Nice, congrats!!! (That bumper... mmmhm)
The face lift looks really good is there a such thing as a truck bed lift because I think it would look very nice with the 2017 raptor tail gate and truck bed
Love it man
Raptor looks great. Really like the Blue............
Looks really good. Oscar you da man
As far as your clear coat, try using a slower activated and reducer to increase your recoat window.
Looks good
so im commenting this while you where doing the body work. but im pretty sure the beam thats closer to the hood line is actually the low beam and the lower one near the bumper is the high beam. ive yet to work on a gen 2 raptor but thats how all the modern f150's are so id doubt they'd do something different that may be why it was blinding other drivers
For others- He fixed it by the end. high's on bottom, which is (partly) why they were pointed so high when he drove back from TG
lmao you just nail it for using the high beam heading home!
I think this was your best paint job ever!
Hell yeah brother
Heck yeah man
You should connect those raptor lights (grille) for the complete 2017 look
You missed a perfect "Wax on, wax off" at 12:48 haha xD
Looks awsome chris I would much rather have this beast than one of the EcoBoost v6 raptors the rumble of a V8 never get's old!
21:11 “boat, boat” lol
So badass
@ChrisFix They used SOAPY WOODER
Thanks now Im going to want to do the swap to my gen 1 raptor 🤣🤦🏻♂️ looks awesome
In the factory wiring the orange light around the headlight flashes. Was that something you decided not to wire?
Otherwise another great job! Truck looks awesome
I wouldn't have sold my old one if I knew this! Pretty cool!
Great job guys.. now when is the single seater build resuming ??
8:00 in it's "OK GUYS, this time we in other Chris's garage" XD
Hello. Great video again. hey, what size of compressor and which spray guns do you use? I would like to try to paint my car but I don't have big equipment. Thank you...
add a interchiller for the supercharger to get chilled by the a/c
props to your man Oscar
Nice
Are you ever gonna replace that right front rim? its a shame to do all of this work and not fix the rim.
Oscar will
Love the random life jacket on the floor
I will do this front end conversion when I find another cheap gen 1.
Maybe oem rims? And a new inter cooler? Maybe 🤷🏽♂️ but Raptor looks amazing brotha great job 🙌🏽🔥💯
