Where did he hear that from?! I used to color my hair at home for years and I never did that. To be honest before I learned you needed the oil I would wait to color my hair until when I would wash my hair anyway. I figured it would be easier that way.

It’s a known fact that you let your hair get as greasy as possible so it’s as protected as possible with all your natural oils so when you bleach it it won’t get as damaged so boo on that hair dresser of yours
You should have it 1 or 2 days dirty. If its 5 days with tons of built up product then the product build up can affect the lift.

yeah, its not good on his skin tone, for one it's still pretty yellow (for trying to be platinum anyway), it could SORT OF be pulled off as a more "natural" blonde, but it also doesn't look natural ON HIM. Even if it came out right I feel like blonde just is not good for his skin tone, just puts focus on how red/pink his face is, where the dark hair gives more contrast to his face, with the blonde it makes how red/pink his face is just be the highest contrast, which isnt exactly what you want.

s w it’s your undertone. You know how for foundations you have cool (pink tones) neutral and warm( yellow/olive tones)
s w cool tones are colors without reds in them, so blue or purple. Warm tones are colors with reds, like orange and pink. When someone has cooled tone skin, they don’t have red or orange undertones in their skin, so it looks just like neutral skin color. It can be super hard to understand, it took me a long time
