Do NOT do the tampon with alcohol thing. It absolutely can kill you. Your liver doesn't filter it the way it normally would.
your liver doesn't filter it at all that way, basically. it's straight to your system through that route. it bypasses the filtration system that way, I believe. I could be a bit wrong, but that's what my knowledge of that was from the first time I ever heard of it on 100 ways to die, or 1000 ways to die something like that except the guy was chugging beer in his butt on that show lol. much love to you girl, got out of rehab the day after my birthday beginning of this year. lowkey didn’t work i relapsed soon after BUT i went to an intensive outpatient program while living in a sober home & i’ve stayed clean since, that part was amazing.
stay strong, one day at a time, we can recover. i’ve made friends that will last me a lifetime from my rehab, i didn’t have the best rehab experience but it was necessary in keeping me alive & sober for 30 days & taught me some skills in managing addiction & mental illness. if you need that, for sure go, just make sure you can also afford to go to a sober living environment immediately afterwards, you will need it to stay sober & regain control over your life🩷

Not to be an armchair psychiatrist here, but considering the amount of trauma you went through as a child, it might be worth considering investing in DBT therapy to help regulate your emotions.

EMDR therapy was life-changing for me to treat my PTSD and anxiety. All love ❤️
Yesss! I have bipolar disorder, and not to a tee do I see myself in both of them, but I definitely see some similar characteristics! I have been through HEAVY DBT therapy, and also tried some EMDR. I detoxed from alcohol and opiates when I was 18. Seeing a good therapist that does CBT + DBT really helped pull me out of that hell hole. I know DBT was made originally for bpd, but I think it can really be helpful for anyone 😇 Therapy is so important, so I'm glad you're sharing. I hope it becomes more accessible, because I believe a ton of people could really benefit from it.
