I notice how well spoken you are, you don’t use terms such as “like” and “umm” very often. That’s something I hope to be able to cut back on, since it’s not the best habit. It’s just so refreshing, I wonder if that has any correlation to your career in speech pathology!
saying “like” and “um” is actually perfectly acceptable language and it actually makes the speaker come off as more relatable/friendly the reason girls are taught that it’s a bad habit is because of misogyny. Don’t stop using your filler words hon maybe men should START using them !!!
You gave such an accurate description of speech pathology and why we all love our careers so much! I work with 0-3 year olds, but love that our field is so diverse and could switch populations at any time.

My sort of plant tip is to keep your watering can next to the sink. When you are emptying water glasses you can pour the water in the watering can for your plants instead of down the drain. I also pick one day a week to check the soil in my plants to make sure they are happy! 🌱 😊

My uncle had a stroke and had to relearn how to speak and walk all over again in his late 60s and because of his amazing speech pathologist he was able to go back to “normal” great avenue to go into!

You're beautiful and have a kind heart. I can't believe people pick on you for getting lip filler or botox. I also clench my jaw and I find that if I do a heat compress/massage my jaw muscles, it helps relax me quite a bit. Yoga helps me relax too. Love the video!
Thank you 💕 I've found that it's impossible to avoid the people out there who will take whatever they can to try and be mean. So sad :( But yes the face massage is the best!! And I have been trying to get back into yoga. There was a phase where I would do yoga almost every day, and I think I felt the best I had ever felt and was the most relaxed. I need to get back to that!!
@@cassandrarandolph There's a channel on youtube called "youtube with Adriene" and she does a 30 day challenge which is helpful if you're easing into yoga again. Also, she has a dog that naps by her yoga mat in certain videos and it's so cute. Definitely recommend.
Would love to know what got you interested in speech pathology. It’s such an interesting field. I’m sorry if you already told that story, I’m sure I missed it. It’s awesome for someone so young to have found their calling, and for it to be such a great one!

Thanks for educating more about the field of speech language pathology! It’s a profession so often misunderstood, and it’s really awesome to see some representation in the media also explaining how vast our scope is (we don’t just treat kiddos).
Also congrats!!😊 It is tough work to make it through, especially with everything else you were dealing with. I couldn’t imagine doing both with how traumatic grad school was haha.

Some people are so mean and I am so sorry that you and people who have been on bachelor/bachelorette have been bullied and I also have been bullied too and I love that you are going to be a speech pathologist because I have a disability and did speech therapy all of the way up until my senior year of high school.

Clenching and grinding can be parasitic related too! We all have “parasites”, and it’s sooo great to do some detoxing modalities to lessen the burden! 🙌🏼❤️
Love that you’re an SLP.. my younger son is 13 with Down syndrome and Apraxia. Apraxia is a BEAST. We are getting a AAC device to help facilitate communication.

When people can’t get over the fact that you’ve fillers and almost try to use it to discredit your beauty, it’s a projection of their own insecurities. And I clench my jaw in my sleep too and get such bad headaches in my temples it’s awful🤕
aw thank you so much ❤️ That is so sweet of you. And you should try the mouthguard thing! It helped me soooo much. I'd constantly be massaging my face and temples because of the headaches and dull pain from clenching my jaw. The WORST. :(

I do it as well, i was actually reading about this treatment. Pictures before and after are so telling as the muscles in jaw get less pronounced.

SLP here- clenching and grinding in your sleep could be airway related. I'd look into seeing an orofacial myologist- another huge important niche of SLP that you can learn about and could benefit you!
I dont have Insta but if I could have said, you are sweet, down to earth, gracious, loving, hard working, you love children, you love Jesus, you love vintage trends, youd rather read a book than binge tv, you love a good pina colada, the beach is ypur safe haven, baby animals melt your heart, you try to find joy in your everyday, you love sun rises, family is everything for you, you trust your gut, you feel more mature than ppl your age
