I'm just going to say it. EVERYONE ignored her and heaped praise on Biles and Chiles. She was treated like an underdog even though she was second in skill only to Simone. I am so glad she finally gets the spotlight she deserves. Never seen a gymnast perform her best routines when the pressure is so incredibly high. Today was the best performance of your life, Suni.
well you can see why people praised biles right? i mean shes the most dominant gymnast it wasnt praise from nothing. I'm so happy for suni but I think its silly to act like you were expecting for suni over simone if simone was still in the all around.

Actually Sunisa got the better on Biles on uneven bars at the trials, she went to the Olympics with arguable the most difficult routine in the world, She was definitely not ignored and this is not a surprise.

More proof that Biles was not the end all be all of the American team. All of those girls are amazing and Suni just proved it. So happy for her, her Team USA, her family and her community (Hmong people). That's 5 Olympics in a row an American has taken the all-around title, and 3 in a row it's been won by an American minority. So proud of her!

Good for Suni. Biles is so over rated. I watched het floor excerise she literally stepped off the floor. It was a terrible routine. Biles quit her team. She doesn't deserve any praise for it. I wonder who's going to be on the Wheaties box? Also since Biles cited mental health issues is she going to compete in the Worlds? If she does, her quitting this competition was a sham. I think it was because she did so poorly she had to make up some excuse to quit. After all she's been competing for years. I hope they get another girl to replace her at Worlds.
Biles was 100% during the trials. Now, she’s not 100%? Excuses excuses and more excuses. I’ve never seen an athlete with so many excuses for everything. The poor little victim has mental health issues but she didn’t have them at trials. She is a quitter and let her team down. Suni Lee will forever be remembered for stepping up to the plate when their leader abandoned them during the team competition because she wasn’t doing so well. But let the excuse factory keep churning. Been watching the Olympics since 1968 and have never seen such a melt down and quit job by an athlete in my life.

Trying to discredit her ability is pointless because Simone doesn't even need to be at her best to come out on top--again, she qualified first overall. She made a decision for her well-being and stepped aside and allowed others to carry on and they shined: silver in the team event and Suni is the new all-around champ. Why does Simone's departure inspire so much hate and vitriol in people like you? She doesn't owe anyone anything. The world is not entitled to Simone's talent at the expense of her health. Why does someone choosing themselves over others offend you so much? Any excuse to tear a person down, I guess. This world is so full of hate and negativity...
@@susanurban5920 She didn't let anyone down. All of her teammates support her and she has help them achieve their goals too. She won at the 2018 World Championships with kidney stones. Every great athlete who is more qualified speak on the matter than both of us, has given their support to Biles. She doing a sport where one wrong move could cause serious injury. Also she never let her team down. If she had competed and messed up, she could of cost them a medal. Sunni Lee winning overall proves they have great overall talent on USA.
People need to stop taking Suni’s spotlight by bringing down other gymnasts. Suni went out there and gave it her all to get gold, so let’s celebrate her!
These athletes Do owe us something. The accept money to compete and train. It’s their job to perform. Nobody begged Simone to keep competing. As a matter of fact, she should have retired last year. I knew Biles wouldn’t deliver at 24 years of age and it crazy for anyone to think that she could. Over rated is an understatement for Biles….she’s more like a circus acrobat than an artistic gymnast. I hope we never see her again.

@Caramel Queen She IS trash. With great power comes great responsibility. When you are at the top, you're expected to be an example of determination. Not curling up in a corner and quitting. The world has always been full of winners and losers. Losers make excuses for other losers. Winners understand that losing is part of winning. So if you gave it your best shot and lost, we can respect that. If you quit, then you don't deserve to win.

I don't like that Simone pulled out, but I will not make a big deal about it. Especially after Simone Biles has represented the USA better than any other American gymnast in history for the last 5 years. I don't know what's going on with her, but she's earned the right to be given the benefit of the doubt. But, Lord knows, the pressure of being the face of the US Team is a lot.
I suspect a lot of this hating on Biles isn't even about what they say it is. Many of these people seem to have ideological agenda that they want to push, and her dropping out is just the vehicle to push it. These people are toxic.

Suni Lee was awesome and delivered under extreme pressure. I watched a short news clip of Lee and her father yesterday…..how he built her a balance beam in the backyard of their house so Suni could practice when she was a child. Her Dad must be so proud of her. Suni is a true champion.
