June 2022 Dev Update - Clash of Clans

It would be great to have an option to attack our own villages to test their Layouts.

Without national flags, it would be cool if we could put up our own clan flag and maybe have multiples of them. It would be nice to have more design options for clan flags too.

As a player who has been playing for 9 years, I say this: You are making a good update, but there is a feature in the game that we miss, we cannot recruit members to the clan, we cannot chat. Global conversation with people should come back. Precautions should be taken against those who steal Supercel ID.

It would’ve been helpful to include builders potion in the items you can purchase with the raid medal

Mass Witches for Farming....why not! It will be great for us to be more experimental with attacks.

Meanwhile maxed th14 players were expecting a new cannon level

As a small addition at some point it would be awesome to see the old sceneries and decorations come back into the shops.

I want a button where you can see while attacking in the builderbase: “if you stop now you are the winner”. So if the opponent has finished their attack and you are already above it in stars or %

Officially the beginning of a new era. Will miss how the game used to be before this update.

Need 2 more things in this update..
1. Make the heroes available for friendly challenge eventhough they are upgrading. It's only for practice anyway..
2. Need to add collect button for each resources in the treasury, because sometimes you only need to take the gold, not the elixir..

One thing I would love to see added to the game is in the treasury I would like to be able to only collect what I want such as Gold, Elixir, and dark Elixir

This is exciting. One update that should be made is the ability for leaders and elders to communicate without the whole clan seeing the messages.

I really like the changes. The only thing I like to have improved is a kind of „troop-stop-system“ which prevents your intire army to fall apart when donating. Kind of a buffer between your first and second army, if you will.

I would love to see old sceneries back in the shop. Also i love the fact that you removed the training costs, now i don't have to think about it when attacking !

I've played many games throughout my life, but I've never played a game where the developers listen to community feedback as much as Clash of Clans. This is probably the reason why game is still so popular 10 years after its creation, the fact that devs always listen to feedback. Keep up the great work guys

I would love to see the feature that you will always have access to every hero in Clan War attacks, because buildings are already in (when you upgrade them the lower version is working in your defense).
This would make many lives easier, you don’t have to delay upgrading your heroes before Clan wars anymore. And I’m not saying this should be a feature for usual home village attacks just for clan wars would be phenomenal. If you like this idea please give it a thumbs up so supercell can see it.

In history of CoC I never expected that training troops costs etc.
Would be removed.
It's a big change.

I hope that the map in the home village will increase soon to have more options to design a good base cause in the last view years we got more and more buildings but not more space to place them efficient.

It’s crazy coming back to this game 10 years later. It’s gotten so much better from both a content and QoL perspective, and i’m so hyped to see what the devs have cooking up for us in the next few updates.

This is amazing, thank you to the CEO of CLASH OF CLANS and game developers who have been very dedicated in maintaining this game over the years, and providing updates with what is missing or needs to be added in this game👌🏻👍🏻

My take on Supercell removing training cost is
May be Supercell have the data that people aren't using DE troops or the expensive troops, like it was an entry cost; which loose the whole point of the game when people don't want to learn new strategies because of cost especially lower THs. Cause after TH11, nobody cares about the cost tbh, its about training time after that.

There was a time when we had to spend loot to renew the traps and now there is no cost for troop training 😁 we came too far ♥️

Just a idea: in the starting tutorial of the game there is a scene where multiple goblins attack your base. I believe there is potential to build off of this and create a wave system that uses goblin type troops to attack your home base. It would be completely AI and the owner could have a menu to control the attacks. The waves could range from equal to lower lvl THs too being able to destroy higher lvl TH. You could add new goblins style troops from Clash Royal like the spear goblins or goblin giants. Ultimately I think this would give players a better reason to upgrade defenses and create better base layouts. This is just a idea but I would love to see it happen. If you want to see a good example of this there is a game called Commanders which has a great example.

Zero cost training costs is such a big upgrade!!! I'm genuinely happy about this change.

I’m sad to see the national flags go, but I understand why.
I think it’d be nice to see some other form of decorations to personalize your base with. Some fun trees, pathways, little buildings (coffee/elixir shops, candy shops something like that) around the green border, etc.

I loved no cost training, I have used goblins for my entire journey. Now trying all troops.

If I had to say removing troop cost will make affording fun attacks in TH 7-9 literally free. I remember using my dark elixir sparingly due to using so much for an army but get so little out of it from attacking (if it was even successful) My favorite part of this game is army comps and successfully attacking. Now no low level will have ti miss out of the joys off mass hog rider or using a golem to absolutely eat an entire base without it hindering their heroes upgrading progress

When attacking, after all troops are released the icon of that troop should be removed from the screen instead of being greyed out. This would make it easier the navigate between troop selection

I love these quality of live updates. I wish that for war, when a hero is upgrading, you are still able to use it for the attack. Not having heros during war mean. I can only upgrade them 3 times a month instead of 4 times

I would really like an option where you can attack your own base and with different armies. It would allow you to practice with diffent base designs and armies. Maybe you wouldn't be able to do it in clan war but you can do it any other time so you don't have to wait through the annoying timer after you alter a base

It would be really cool to have villager or even troops interacting in the sceneries. The sceneries are so cool to look at but I just wish there was more movement going on. Heck I'd even pay more money for sceneries that do that.

The flags should be replaced with some new decoration, maybe it could be statues for the troops that don’t have one yet
Ex: Archer, Goblin, Loon, up to Pekka

Whoa, amazing how good these guys are. How they engineer their game, and how they manage the comments.

Been asking this for a while, add the year your clan was created on the shield. It would be cool to see how old clans are. Also players should have to opt in after every war. That will make it easier to see who's active.

I can’t stress enough how happy I am with this update, this is the reason why the game stood strong for many years and will continue to thrive because we have developers that actually care about their players , much love I am so excited

I really love that they removed the training costs for troops, spells, and siege machines.

3 things that should be added imo in 10th Anniversary update
1 - Allow Otto to craft capital gold
2 - Give the option to choose an army before an attack in home village between the 2 armies that are fully trained.
3 - Withdraw the limit of only 2 super troops.

Love to see the devs actually listening to the player’s recommendations! This is how game development is done ✅ Been playing for years and never been let down with an update or balance change :)

One update I would love to see is the ability to change a Clan Name, an instajnce this is very useful is is you joined a friend's clan and if they leave the clan and you become clan leader it would be cool to have the ability to change the name to something that would suit you better!

There must be an option we can use multiple builder in one building to decrease upgrade time. We have clan wars and other attacks. We can't wait 5-7 days for every update of heroes.

It'd be nice if I could see the time required to build something next to cost in the builder suggestions (i button next to builder tab on top) Thanks!

I’m so happy about the elixir being used on walls, I have so many under leveled walls and this will help a lot😃

I think that removing the training cost for troops is like taking away a big part of this game. I think that to train a very strong army requires some sacrifices: if now that is going to be removed, it means that to make a strong army you won't have to care about how to spend your resources in the bed way possible to still have some for the village itself. That's my opinion.

Add a spell launcher, or allow heroes to use their abilities when defending (except the warden)

I love how I just got a 2 hour training boost and now there is a maintenance shutdown

The updates are good but the old one will be an emotion forever like how we used to struggle to save elixir and train troops oh man pure nostalgia. And a kind request please bring some updates in the builder base also cause I have maxed it out and now it's boring please July or August update there should be an Builder Base included🙂💓

Hello, thank you for your efforts. Please include a training attack on your village in other updates.

Another update that would be great is being able to have other builders help each other. And when they do the upgrade progress should decrease. E.g. 1 builder is working on an upgrade (which is 10days) an available builder can help. When he does, the progress should go down to 7 day's. If you add another builder to help, it goes down to 4 day's. And so on. As long as a builder is available he should be able to help. Because it sucks having to wait more than a week for one upgrade.

2:57 i have been playing clash since 2015 and i think it really has got better till now . I'm not sure that removing the cost for training will go well or not . this might make training troops not a deal and effortless .

I know that having the flags in the game were an issue but some bases were really creative in the way they added them. Would it be possible for clash to add fake flags or flags that aren’t associated with any nationality so that bases which integrated flags from before could still somewhat do so. Something fun like an archer flag or barbarian flag to something simple like a completely blue or completely red flag would be fine because my base integrated the flags into the layout and that cool aspect isn’t going to be available in this update anymore.

That clan capital army camp update is a life saver ..and now you can train your troops without any cost. I still remember it used to take around 30-45 min or something to train a single pekka in the past. ☺️

This sounds amazing! My favorite TH7 army, Hog Rush for example, doesn't cost 1,000+ DE anymore! The lower level walls with Elixir is pretty sweet, & I'm liking the other QOL changes! BUT, I have to admit, the Clan Castle upgrades using Elixir now, I kind of wierding me out lol! I'm so used to Gold upgrades. Anyways, thank you guys so much for all of the hard work! I will continue to enjoy the game & create content! Clash on!

We need an easier way to move through different districts . Its especially difficult when searching for a previous attack in a replay when u have to go through the raid log ,raid selection and then the district selection after u select one replay.Its incredibly tiring if we dont know the exact raid where the attack was done.back button from the replay to the previous window would be nice.

I see the point you removed the national flags... but PLEASE, give us more decoration to customize our village. Trees, stones, ruins, ... like we have in the Clan Capital. Thank you.

I was surprised about no cost for the troops I was happy so now I don't have to worry about not having enough elixir for troops also I think the rest of it was well done

instead of showing the housing capacity in the train troops/brew spells window you should see the time since its the only true cost left of making an army

I really wished they would let us keep those national flags which were already purchased and allowing us a sense of "OGcity" over upcoming new players to whom we'll convey this future nostalgias😌😌

It would be great that when building cannons, archer towers and everything related to improving the village and laboratory it should be instant repair so as not to wait long, update the night village and lower the costs of kings and laboratories. please take into account to make this game more enjoyable and attractive for old and new players.

Not entirely sure how I feel about training costs being removed. On one side its fantastic as you can experiment more and have fun using different strategies but on the other hand I feel like it was such an important part of the game.

All of those quality of life improvements are really good and welcomed, love them, tbe only shame honestly is removing the national flags, they added customization of the village and people were able to show where they were from, or collect them all if they liked. But well, even if that's a shame, all of the QOL improvements make it worth it, thanks for all the work

I'm hoping they add more aesthetic items to the game that we can purchase and place around the base. To replace the flags. I love customization.

I would love a game mode thats the same as the builder base but then with your home village so you can practice your attacks more often so more of a 1v1 most stars/damage wins

SUGGESTION: Please allow Clan Leaders & Co-Leaders to dictate what upgrades/unlocks Clan members can spend Capital Gold on, or "lock down" things that they don't want member to spend their Gold on. And (or at least) please give us a way to let Leaders & Co-leaders see where everyone has been depending their Capital Gold.

Disagree with removing national flags. I always found it cool to see where opponent is from. Bad decision.

i think that update will remove sense of farm armies, and all of people will attack with best armies that normally was for clan war

Fun fact: a friendly distrect/capital raid were available before update, but no one knew about it.
