I did the math on this today using the WHO's own numbers. You have to think about how far we are into this now vs how many people have died. The truth is: 960k in 6.3 months now (from when pandemic status was declared and all deaths pushed forward). The flu kills 500k+ in 4 months (flu season). 500k ÷ 4 is 125k killed MONTHLY by flu. Compare that to 960k killed in 6.3 months...Covid kills 153k MONTHLY. That's not a large gap.
The presumed ACTUAL beginning of the pandemic was 12/1/2019; 9.67 months ago. So now, 960k ÷ 9.67 months comes out to 99,276 monthly Covid deaths. Meaning we are in a panic over something that kills LESS people per month than the flu, which we accept and don't act like this over. And this is all without taking the deaths that should never have been attributed to Covid into account. Flu ALSO does that level of damage WITH an effective vaccine and WITH an effective treatment.
The REASON this seems so much worse is because we're looking at it like "omg...Covid has almost killed a million people" without taking into account that THIS has persisted, unlike the flu, which is seasonal. That fact matters. This means that Covid is more persistent and Covid is more successful than the flu...NOT more deadly.
Accounting for any other error, we can probably push that 99k up to 125k. Thats LITERALLY a flu. Still not as bad because its only doing what a flu, which has a vaccine and treatment, does, but WITHOUT a vaccine and treatment.

This with no shutdown, social distancing, mask wearing, etc. The first US death from Covid was in February. 7 months later the US is approaching 200,000 deaths. This is with social distancing, mandatory mask wearing, and government shutdown. These measures are working because mathematically speaking every 100 people in a crowded area, one or two people are bound to be positive for Covid and considering how easily it spreads, 10 other people can get infected and the growth becomes exponential. However despite strict government intervention, the death toll more than doubles the seasonal flu. Even if you have December as the starting date for Covid deaths in US, Covid deaths would still be more than double per month than seasonal flu.

it is for you to know with certainty that the disease of the suffocating torment of Allah that you call ‘corona virus’ will not be removed from you except by Allah only. So let the people repent from the worst of sins, the gross indecencies, the injustice to the people, and from the injustice of associating partners [with Allah].
And say:
“Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.”
And after the repentance let each one of them say:
“O Allah I am Your servant, I ask you by virtue of the fact that there is no God but You, and by virtue of the fact of Your Mercy which you have decreed upon Yourself, and by the virtue of the fact of the greatness of Your Pleasure within, which is greater than the pleasure of your heaven, to cure me of the torment of Corona or to turn it away from me as I am a believer in the caller to the truth from You.
O Allah, remove Your torment from us from whichever direction it comes from, so that we follow the path of the truth from You. And strengthen us to fulfil what we have promised you, O you who intervene between a man and his heart, as we only have Your mercy, You have decreed upon Yourself. If You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers. O Allah You have said in the clear verses of Your book

So the Dua'a (supplication) and the repentance is from me, and the response is from You and You do not break Your promise. Exalted You are our Lord, your promise is true and you are the Most Merciful. O Allah give us the strength to fulfil what we have promised You to follow the global caller to Allah, the caliph of Allah on Earth the Imam Mahdi Nasser Mohammed Al-Yamani. O Allah, make the raising of him a blessing upon us and not a misery upon us because of our turning away from the call to the truth of the Imam Mahdi Nasser Mohammed Al-Yemeni”.
And whoever refuses this supplication surely the torment of the so-called Coronavirus will befall them. And did Allah make the sign of the Corona virus but a sign of confirmation to the challenge in the statement of the Imam Mahdi Nasser Mohammed Al-Yemeni that was written on the 10th Rajab [5th March], titled “Corona virus is of the lesser torment short of the greater torment, that perhaps they may repent”?

If there was any decency or sincerity in this whole 'Covid fiasco', governments would have been reviewing the P&L statements of companies benefitting from it, with a plan to impose special taxation up to 90% on huge profits linked with the 'Pandemic' .
Simply put,if CompanyA gross profit in 2020 exceeded the mean of its profit in the last 3years and the difference found to be due to 'Covid19 extenuating circumstances', government should impose special taxes on the entity to recover the excess profit which could then be channelled as bailout to CompanyB that went belly up due to the 'pandemic'.
Doing this will ensure balance,fairness, and a genuine return to normalcy. It will also discourage capitalists(BigPharms,Media,E-comerce) cashing out on the current situation from cooking up or covertly supporting another one to keep the tap flowing.
But then it's a world of crooked politicians who thrive on creating unjust systems to serve the interest of their funders, joined by corrupt News media that only reports paid propaganda.

Also yeah these are emergency vaccines, but as a scientist I can tell you mRNA stuff is simple, most errors will come from improper storage, it needs to be kept in -80 or it degrades, but still its just RNA synthesis, there isn't that many ways to could screw it up.

For now, SARS variants have been defined and somewhat contained in that category. Potentially, this would fix only some corona cases - we will find out.
