Don’t write another pregnancy off...EVERY pregnancy and delivery is different! I had literal PTSD from the horrendous delivery of my son (4yo). My daughter (4mo) was 157,000% different!

Seriously, I've had 3 kids and 3 extremely different births. My first delivery went great, no pain killers because it wasn't too long and I had a doula. Second was a c-section (baby facing wrong direction) on a tiny tropical island where I literally thought I was going to die at one point (during after care, not the surgery,. Also we were there for my husband's schooling) and 3rd was 6 weeks early after a week of bed rest because my water broke at 7 weeks.

THATS WHAT IVE BEEN SAYING! My pregnancy with my first son was HORRID. I ended up with preeclampsia and had to have an emergency c-section. But this current pregnancy has been a breeze. (Im 33 weeks pregnant)

Everyone's encouraging Colleen to get pregnant again, I hope she doesn't feel pressured. You don't have to have another baby, you don't have to go through another pregnancy, you don't have to risk getting all the pain. Also, adoption sounds good

When I was pregnant with my daughter I had sever preeclampsia. I was passing out everyday, I couldn’t eat, I was weak, I was swollen, I had a sever rash all over my body that indicated liver failure... but I didn’t know that at the time.. I had a traumatizing delivery where my daughter came out lifeless and I couldn’t see her for almost 24 hours. My daughter is now 4 and so healthy and happy. I am pregnant with my second and I do not have one any of the same issues that I had the first time. This pregnancy is perfect. I waited over 3 years to start trying again. I am glad I waited.

The same thing happened with me. I had a tortuous first pregnancy. I hated it and I was in such pain every single day. My second pregnancy (6 years later) is completely different and it’s such a breeze and so so easy
Every single pregnancy is different, not just for each woman, so you never know how your body is going to react each time.

This is true. My second was worse than my first in some ways... but definitely different. And some people have extreme vomiting in one pregnancy and not in another. It's weird.

My second has been WAY worse than my first. Pains came way earlier and had more of them. My doctor told me that is normal for the second!
Lies! My second pregnancy was just as bad! I had morning sickness from start to finish for both and was bed ridden most of the time!

That is supposed to happen in pregnancy, otherwise the head won't fit. It isn't a bone splitting, it's ligaments stretching. But with certain women it happens excessively and is very painful. If interested, Google SPD.

LittleBird Yup, it happened to me when I was pregnant with my twins. I needed a walker right after I had them! It slowly got better but something I still struggle with if I make quick, jolted moves. It didn’t happen with my first baby but with my twins it was double the hormones to relax my ligaments and I deff felt that 😖

she was so small and petit when she got pregnant the first time so her body had to spread so she could actually be pregnant with the baby and give birth. the second time around will be so different because her body is already used to it.

The physical aspects would definitely be different a second time around. However, the mental part could be the same. All she and all of us could hope for would be that it would be different.

Well first of all it would be way harder to this time if she did I mean think about it she (might) be in a lot of pain and won't be able to play with Flynn, yes her body may be ready and yes the second time she will know what she's getting into this time but that doesn't mean it won't be painful, also if she doesn't really want another baby she could just adopt adopting may take long but it would hopefully be better then getting pregnant again.

We literally do support whatever decision she makes. It’s only a matter of making her feel better about her fear. Stop reading so much into an innocent comment. We aren’t asking her to just “try again” we’re informing her. She’s said so many times that she doesn’t want to experience what she did the first time again and so we’re of course letting her know that it’s not a certainty that she will.
Exactly. My first pregnancy (twins) was terrible and I planned on never being pregnant again but we did end up with another (unplanned) pregnancy (singleton) and it was even worse the second time around.

A friend of mine had a terrible first pregnancy, similar to yours. They had an oops and she got pregnant again and her pregnancy was so different than the first. She had minimal pain, and a normal pregnancy.

A lot of what Colleen had was probably genetic though plus, she's still a very small framed person so any additional weight is going to be harder for her body to take on than for other people whose bodies are used to taking on more weight. You of course could be right, but it's true that some people will always have harder pregnancies.

That's the thing. All my mom's pregnancies were really different. She had one as bad as colleens and she was on bed rest and she had tge next 2 with much less trouble. You never know until you try.
I’m on baby number four, and all my pregnancies have been completely different. I was on bed rest while pregnant with my second, and this pregnancy I am taking care of my 3 children alone. I really think her next pregnancy would be a lot better 💕

Honestly I get it though. When my son was born the first thing I said (aka screamed) was "NEVER AGAIN!!!" and now he's 15 months and we're trying for another baby. I guess it's just mother nature wanting us to reproduce at all costs haha

He’s grown up so fast I’ve been here for a couple years now, me and my best friend got so excited when you announce that you were pregnant and the gender of the baby we celebrated our own we even bought a cake!
