Ok
I doubt Superman would actually enjoy dealing with someone like Goku though, most of the Justice League members shared a similar take on fighting being necessary but not desirable. Even Wonder Woman would rather not see violence if possible. Having an extremely powerful person like Goku - who also craves battle to the point that he ignores practically everything else in life - would probably be a danger in Superman’s eyes.
Abso-freakin'-lutely Goku and Clark both love making friends, and Goku would absolutely Love sparring against Clark like this over and over again, while Clark would feel more relaxed going all out knowing the Super Dragon Balls exist to fix things after XD
@@WafleEnterprisesThat isn't necessarily true. Goku has always not wanted to fight in locations filled with innocent people. He would always move to some deserted wasteland. And even in the battle with Beerus, they took it up to space (anime) to battle it out. And people might bring up the punch clash that could've destroyed the entire universe. Well, Goku figured out a way to neutralize that consequence with his genius. So, saying Goku likes to fight with no thought of the innocent living beings around the universe is incorrect to say the least.

@@tropicturtle9021 read the comment again, i said trying, for variety, using all of his arsenal and resources, for entertaining and watching all of those in this fantastic animation, I never said beating superman with them.
I hope I’m not the only one who finds sups saying ‘my mom made it for me’ about his super suit adorable
Had to come back and watch this after hearing Toriyama passed. Rest in Peace to a legend
The panic on Superman’s face when he accidentally destroyed the moon was great.
And in reference to his DCAU version the very next scene he's in
In fact, Goku in ultra instinct would have easily defeated an ordinary superman, but with the golden god Goku it would not have been easy, but there is no difference, both destroy the future saitama manga without radnitsa
He’s just like 😲😨 that was to funny
Rest in peace, Akira Toriyama.
Given Rooster Teeth dissolved, this is likely the true Death Battle finale.
Hell of a note to go out on.
Can we take a moment to talk about how wholesome it was that Superman seemed really proud when he told Goku that his mom made his suit
Superman's writing and characterization is 100x better when he's a genuinely wholesome down to Earth guy as opposed to a brooding, scowling godly being taking pity on humans.
@@cygnusprime6728So true
Superman saying that Goku almost had him was what got me. He might be the strongest, but it's clear he's rooting for Goku to surpass him someday.
@@cygnusprime6728yeah all star superman talked a teenager out of suicide
@@natedeanmaan2 yeah it's almost like a big brother or an older teammate hoping to pass the torch. It's a cool way to write the relationship between Goku and Superman.
This Death Battle matchup went from being the most toxic to the most wholesome…gotta love it.
Couldn’t agree more.
thats because they deleted the toxic coments from the goku wankfans .. crying about how xenogoku is so much better than sups because of trust me bro ... but in the end its nice that they get a whooping like goku did... again ... for his tird time in a row ... fun as heck
It's utter garbage.
Now if we can have a "what really happened" when "Gaara went up against Toph"............Death Battle will FINALLY be redeemed!
@@KingMickeyMouseOoO so you want Toph to humiliate Gara more than one time? geez you ok buddy?
Man This Death Battle means a lot more now from everything thing happening
How Goku.lost and they didn't even analyze him.correctly..this is a complete insult to him
Rest in Peace Toriyama.
That ending is perfect. It's like two buddies who became brothers sparring and spending time together. This is well done
The ending bit with Wiz and Boomstick too
A perfect wrap up
how many times does goku come back from the dead? he died but it's not the end of him (in this lil story).
Good times? Universe 7 has been erased completely by Goku when he makes the biggest Kamehameha ever 😂
well, they both fight for all the same reasons. I'm 100% they would become very close friends if they were to actually meet.
@@gageriggs3914 Exactly dude. Both would easily have high respect for the other.
I love that Goku and Superman actually seem to have fun here. Probably the best in their trilogy.
Edit: Who here would like to see Superman train Goku to become stronger? I would.
THIS.
This battle was beautiful because it represented PERFECTLY the 2 personalities: even if this was a death battle, they both knew it was good guy vs good guy.
Love that ending.
YES
Agreed, I always felt like these two would be great friends and brothers in arms to each other, and now we wait for round four.
They literally acted with good intentions to be friends
@@t-rexcellentreviews1663Lol, it wont be any round 4.
Rest In Peace Akira Toriyama I hope you, Jerry Siegel, and Joe Shuster can rest knowing that you guys changed the lives of Billions East and West.
Rest in Peace Akira Toriyama
I never watched Dragon Ball or any of your content, but I know you inspired very many people with your work
It’s sad, but fitting in a way that this was the last Death Battle before your passing
The ending really captured the essence of both these iconic characters. The fact that they finally get to meet someone strong enough to challenge the other. And there's nothing better than friendly competition, no malice, no hate, no disdain, just good old-fashioned guys having a good time.
it felt just like all might vs might guy both didn't care about proving their superiority to anyone they just wanted a fun fight and knew their opponent were good
Yea it's a pretty good way to stop them doing this battle
"World made of cardboard . . ."
Damn, that JLU reference hit me. Loving this season so far!
I like that he made that reference because Goku may be the only person who would truly understand what he means by it even moreso than darkseid or Supergirl .
RIP TO THE GOAT, CREATOR, AND LEGEND THAT IS AKIRA TORIYAMA.
"A world made of cardboard."
A reference to one of my favorite animated superman scenes.
With Goku's wish factory
They can certainly go all out
such a simple scene and compared to a lot of other shows it's not all that amazing visually. As a superman fan though, you felt it in the words ( gotta give credit to George Newburn )
My favorite part of that whole "cardboard" speech is that Darkseid immediately kicks his ass afterward. It takes Lex showing up with the Anti-Life Equation to get Darkseid to stop.
Fr I love how he acknowledges how fragile the world is for him and as a result takes the opportunity to go all out since he won't get something like this for a while
In Justice League Unlimited He whooped Darkseid's AZZ right after his "World of cardboard" speech 😂
I do love how friendly Goku and Superman are to each other here. They're like old friends having a sparring session... a hellishly chaotic and destructive sparring session.
that so true these 2 would be great friends
Yeah they do but the fandom won't
@@LoLiloveMEME The hell are you saying, that was the core of the discours for years.
I may not be a Dragon Ball fan, but it's clear that Akira Toriyama had a massive influence on pop culture as we know it and changed the lives of millions for the better. Rest in peace, you absolute legend.
The ending its harder now since the creator passed away rest in peace
19:45 That whole sequence of Goku charging up the kamehameha was such a beautiful moment, with the light enveloping Goku's face, and his head and facial movement. Animation team did astounding, wow!
Agreed, this episode was cool and enjoyable
Is so AWESOME
I actually love the idea of Superman finally being relieved to have a sparring partner that can keep up with him in power. That ending was super wholesome and very in character for both of them
Makes sense. Superman rarely ever gets a chance to actually blow off steam outside of stressful, life-or-death battles or the occassional uninhabited moon for him to take out his anger on (see when Lex Luthor became President). That must be exhausting. So having a friendly spar against someone who can keep up with him, with absolutely NO consequences attached (because Super Dragon Balls) would probably be a huge breath of fresh air.
Yea so true this a truly good video and no matter who won there battle was awesome
Exactly, even though Superman is unmatchable, he still cares about the experience. It's a no-brainer that Superman would win because he's just, well Superman, but it was a great decision to have him respect Goku as an equal and vice versa (even though Superman cannot be hurt in this case). As you said it was a spar, not a fight and it worked perfectly. It felt like 2 friends just being bros, I love the direction Death Battle went with for this version, very fresh idea.
Facts Gokus still a way better character than Superman and even after this I’m still happy that Goku stomps Saitama no diff😂🤣🤣🫵🏾
@@MMkillsINCTVno...no and no superman beats him stop it lmao and way better then goku

Goku's voice acting in the kamehameha with the kaio ken felt so authentic, that was awesome
I was about to comment the same thing😮
No lie, it was fire, I kinda held my breath too
Agreed. Some of the best I've heard. I don't think MasakoX could have pulled it off if he were to have retained the role.
That ending with Goku and Superman fist bumping and wanting to go again honestly made me tear up.

So that was not MasakoX?
@@orkoskang7967nope, MasakoX did play as GT Goku in a small snippet though. (If you listen close, you can hear him say Kaio-Ken!)
Michael Kovach is his name, he also voices N from Murder Drones and Jax from Amazing Digital Circus
This somehow topped the incredible endings of Scooby Vs. Courage and Rick Vs. Doctor, this season has legit been one of the best ever, possibly my favorite.
I love how they treat the relationship between Goku and Superman. It’s so wholesome
I officially see them as friends and they have great sportsmanship, even after one of them died, not that that’s permanent when it comes to either of them. 😂

From "This is going to be fun!" "You're insane." to "Let's go again." "You're on." Regardless of how strong Superman is, Goku's ability to win people over in a fight is unmatched.
Goku Makes a lot of Friends
Which is why Dragonball is viewed as an anime just for children unlike so many others that do not use that kind of goofy storyline of befriending everyone.
@@thomasjones4570 oh right, the show with dismemberment, people getting blown up, turned to dust, having holes blown clean through their bodies and, at least for most of it's run, plenty of blood in the fighting is "for kids".

I can't wait for all the civil and friendly discussions that this specific battle will have.
😬
Atleast there was a decent amount of time between this rematch and the last one. The original rematch barely had any new material to work with beside giving Goku universal feats
I mean regardless of the outcome the fight makes no sense it’s basically an immovable object vs an unstoppable force a character who has unlimited power vs one who has unlimited potential and growth! They would be best buddies in normal circumstances considering they have a lot in common but that’s irrelevant in this battle tbh.
@@soulcyclone360 Well, Goku's universal feats were only in the Dragon Ball Super anime, which came out after GvSM 2. So really there was no new material to work with at all lol (not to mention the fact that GvSM 2 just used the cut contents of the original script and didn't do any new research, so it was actually just an epilogue rather than an actual rematch)
good joke, bro.
Goku saying "finally" at 19:43 means he finally got to a point where he was able to see a glimpse of Superman's true potential. Goku keeps growing and growing after so many decades and this won't be the last battle between them either
no matter how long it takes i'll keep hoping my boy goku can get a win, i can't wait to see how both characters expand, and for goku to finally match or surpass superman one day.
If we ever get to a point where goku does win than I can’t wait to come back here because to me seeing goku getting stronger and stronger feels like an adventure weather we live long enough to see the end I can’t say
against most supermen he can, just not against the amalgamation of them that db keeps using. i did like this fight a lot.@@Otaku_Sama
How?! From what I've seen of Dragon Ball Z, everything seems the same mostly with energy beams and balls and such. How exactly do you get more powerful? I guess I'm just used to the variety of Naruto😅
