When you think about it, both Galactus and his herald were in the same season of Death Battle. Maybe Silver Surfer was trying to tell us Galactus was coming.
And this season has Megatron and Unicron
Tinfoil hat on, but could the results of Martian Manhunter vs. Silver Surfer and Frieza vs. Megatron be reflecting the result of this particular matchup?
Perhaps both Heralds can be involved if Unicron revives Megatron from the dead to create Galvatron.
Heck it be really cool if we got a all out army fight with all the major heralds of Unicron vs all the major Heralds of Galactus.
@@R0-83-RT If they exist in the same space, technically galactus can make any person he wants into his herald at any time, though for whatever weird reason it makes him weaker. One of his heralds actually had the idea to try and kill him by having galactus make more and more heralds... it didn't end well for that guy.
@@Inky-Wells Frankly, I wouldn't roll it out. The first fight established how powerful the Power Cosmic wielders are, and we're talking Galactus here. The second fight kind of established Transformers can be outclassed in power.
What’s also scary about Galactus, we don’t even know what he really looks like? We humans see him like the way he is, but other Alien species see him either as a giant rock monster, a giant robot, a giant lizard, a giant squid, and so forth. Also when did Rom the Space Knight did a crossover with Marvel?
Marvel had the license to do ROM comics. They even developed lore for ROM including the Dire Wraiths & the Space Knights. When they lost the license, Marvel still kept the lore but it's not been used a lot in recent years.
Funny thing, at one point even in the comics. Some Humans did view Galactus as a gas Cloud thing(hence the second Fantastic Four movie) another funny thing, when Galactus was killed in an alternate future. his corpse looked like how most Humans viewed him
The comics of Rom the Space Knight were originally owned by Marvel, actually. It was only in 2015 that IDW started publishing their own Rom comics.
In fact, it seems that earlier this year Marvel reacquired the licensing rights to Rom and started reprinting the original comics in omnibus format.

Fun fact: He's also been a squirrel. In the Squirrel Girl comic, Galactus made landfall on earth try to do what he always tries to do, and we saw him through Squirrel Girl's squirrel sidekick's eyes. Turns out his form will be as close to whatever being is currently observing him as possible. Still had the outfit though, which is hilarious.
If you're curious, he was "defeated" by Squirrel Girl when she convinced him to eat acorns (or a planet covered in acorns? Not sure) instead of Earth.

Like if a video from 1 year ago has 1 million views and a video from a month ago had 900,000 views then obviously the year long video has more views over a longer period of time but the newer one got them faster

Man, Galactus' origin and purpose is such an interesting thing to delve into. Sure, everyone understands the scope of Galactus' presence. Everyone understands the threat he poses. What's at risk when he shows up.
But once you find out that the origin of Galactus is the origin of the *Marvel Universe itself* your whole perspective on him changes.

The connections between Galactus and Unicron are that they are both colossal, planet-sized entities who devour planets to empower themselves and use heralds they bestow with power in order to find more planets (Silver Surfer and Galvatron, respectively). Both are also embodiments of primordial entities (Galactus houses the energy of the Black Winter that destroyed universes, and Unicron is a "multiversal singularity" embodying evil) with true forms that cannot be perceived by most living beings. Both also serve as fierce threats to their respective series' heroes of Earth (the Avengers and the Autobots, respectively), as well as towards other worlds (Zenn-La and Cybertron, respectively). Both their names are also alterations of cosmic locations (galaxy and universe, respectively).
To correct a few details here (sorry, but I'm going to be the "Uh, Actually" guy), Unicron doesn't necessarily need to destroy worlds to sustain himself, he does it because he is the antithesis of all creation and order, he does it simply because as a being of chaos and destruction, Unicron destroys worlds simply because he wants to, and usually he wants to destroy the universe he resides in, sometimes going after the Multiverse once he's done with the universe he's recently destroyed.
2nd, Unicron doesn't use his heralds to find other worlds, but to instead either spread his influence across the universe, be his extra eyes and ears, but most importantly he usually calls upon his heralds to engage in battle against the forces of Primus, the Transformers' God of Creation, usually in the form of the latest Prime, the leader of Autobots, who carries the last remaining power of Primus able to defeat him, The Matrix of Leadership.
Other than that, everything else you mentioned about Unicron is correct.

My favorite Galactus story was from What If? #34, when Thanos turned Galactus into a human being and cast him down to earth. Coincidentally, Galactus perfectly resembled Elvis Presley, and became the second coming of the singer.
My theory on how the fight starts
*Galactus is hovering through the area of space where Cybertron is*
Galactus: Hmmm... Before he went AWOL, Norrin told me this planet's occupants have primarily moved to Earth to be robots in disguise... Well, can't hurt to get some iron in my diet.
*Galactus comes across Unicron inspecting the ruins of Cybertron*
Unicron: Looking for food, are you? You won't find any here. Some petty tyrant called Frieza blew the whole place up... (mutters under his breath) Along with my intended servant.

I don't know much about Galactus, but from the way they described him, he sounds like the embodiment of the infinity stones but he has his own will.
He curbstomped Infinity Gauntlet Thanos, so you're not far off.

Unicron is basically the satan of the transformers universe. The "living planet" that pops up in most versions are basically just his avatars.
Outside of comics I don't think we've ever actually seen Unicron at *full power*
So you remember how Darkseid has different Avatars throughout the Multiverse and there is only one true Darkseid that's connected to all of them well Unicron is kinda like that.
I'm sure others will come along and fill you in with more information, but I will throw this one fact towards you about Unicron:
He has (as of current knowledge) successfully eaten approximately 22% of the known multiverse (which in Transformers canon is said to be ever-rewriting and renewing itself), and had destroyed the previous iteration of the Transformers universe.

The only being Galactus feared was the Black Winter. The being chose Thor to be his herald to be the best bodyguard in the comics.

Unicron stands a pretty decent chance, he's often considered an entity of pure destruction not just a massive robot, also he can devour anything pretty easily but for galactus its a whole process
the thing is though, he's also weak to the forces of creation and life, which is the basis for the power cosmic... i'm curious if that's going to be relevant, they did draw attention to that connection.

Due to the nature of his powers everyone perceives Galactus differently so if you've ever seen Galactus when his M-Body merged with Gah-Lak-Tus that's probably what Unicron would see.
The fun part about this battle is if Unicron somehow wins he still loses cause thus comes Abraxas.
Actually if it came to that, there's a possibility he could actually find an ally in this fellow embodiment of the concept of destruction who wants to clear away the multiverse to leave nothing but a perfect silent void.
Even if they don't end up friends and Abraxas kills him; he still wants what Abraxas wants, so even if he loses in that regard he also still wins.
I don't know why but "Power Cosmic" is so cool of a name. They could've called it "cosmic power" but this is so much more intimidating

Galactus all the way. sure, i haven't seen much of Transformers so i don't really know what Unicron is capable of, but one time, Galactus was starving, and yet he could fight on par with the entire Fantastic 4 gang featuring Silver Surfer. again, Galactus was _starving_ and a starved Galactus is basically his "weakest" form. also, he has the Ultimate Nullifier, a fingergun shaped weapon that can wipe out *ANYTHING* it's pointed at, even entire universes.

Galactus is a character from Marvel Comics, right? Well, that means he has REALLY HIGH feats AND anti-feats in his large collection of appearences. Although, taking account of the average, I believe Unicron has this.

So they've basically been hinting at this matchup all season with both Megatron and Silver Surfer (Unicron and Galactus' right hand men respectively) showing up in the same season.

What makes Galactus a better character than Unicron for me other than being a Marvel universe character

Unicron isn't "Evil" either. He's actually the living embodiment of Multiversal Entropy. Literally "The Death of All Things" given a physical form.
And as we learned in the silver surfer’s analysis earlier this season, he respects his herald so much that even when he turned against him, he let him keep the powers given to him rather than taking them back

Galactus is one of the strongest forces of nature in his universe. Unicron is the omnipresent embodiment of evil in all universes. Galactus will put up a good fight, but this is basically Darkseid vs. Thanos.
Years ago my biggest argument for Unicron winning this fight was stanima, the longer Galactus fights the weaker he gets since he needs to feed on planets to sustain energy. Meanwhile Unicron can basically always fight as long as there is hatred to feed on, and considering this is a battle Unicron can easily feed off the frustration he would cause Galactus.
However, Galactus becoming a life bringer sort of stopped that since it seemed Galactus no longer had the stamina issues he had in the past. There's also the fact technically Unicron is no longer a multi-versal singularity, most of his fiction was written before this was changed, but after being cut with the true starsaber every version of Unicron are now considered separate entities.
Galactus is marvels STRONGEST villain Galactus in his strongest is equal to eternity and at his weakest is planetary
Funny thing is in an official crossover Galactus took a full powered blast from Darkseid's Omega Beams and didn't flinch

Galactus does have one way to win, unlike Thanos, who was pretty much dead on arrival. Galactis possesses the Ultimate Nullifier, a weapon that can destroy anything possible on any level. It's so powerful that it could legitimately destroy every Unicron in every universe simultaneously. I don't think he has a counter to that, and since both are very similar in stats, I don't think he can destroy Galactus before the Nullifier comes into play.

Not sure if he can. Unicron is already powerful in his own right, almost equal to Galactus. But here’s the problem.
We all know the multiverse exists in Transformers, and there’s infinite Unicron, one per universe, problem? Every Unicron in the multiverse is the same one, there’s only one Unicron in the multiverse, sort of like Darkseid. For Galactus to kill Unicron permanently, he technically has to destroy the multiverse to do it. Both beings are multiversal, but unless Lifebringer Galactus comes into play, Unicron will kill Galactus before Galactus kills every Unicron

I don’t know how strong Unicron is, but I can’t see him beating Galactus. Keep in mind Galactus’ power is directly correlated to how hungry he is as well and Death Battle is going to have Galactus at 100% full.
Now a regular hungry is almost always shown to be massively stronger than Odin (there are outliers, but that’s comics baby). A perfect example of this is when Galactus came to earth while Odin was visiting and Odin USED ALL HIS ENERGY CONDENSED INTO ONE SINGULAR ATTACK (kinda like the God Blast that Thor use), and all it did was knock Galactus off his feet for like 10 seconds. After that attack Thor was certain the strain of it killed ODIN, and the only reason Odin was convinced he would survive is because he had blind faith in a prediction on how he’d die. That attack took so much out of Odin that it forced him into an Odin sleep despite waking up just like a month ago or something like that.
The only reason Galactus didn’t eat earth was because he admired the balls that Odin showed by attacking him, and Silver Surfer found an inhospitable just in the nick of time. Once again I gotta say against a hungry Galactus, Odin used a knock off God Blast almost died, and entered the Odin sleep 3/4 of a year early, and this HUNGRY Galactus reacted like he got hit by a decently strong hit.
This is extremely impressive considering one time an attack was going to destroy the Yggdrasil (basically the heart of the Multiverse) and Odin casually deflected it with a flick of his wrists. Like dude is easily Multiversal, but his Trump card attack is considered comparable to a good hit to Galactus.
We’ve seen a Full Galactus a few times, with the most notable one being when he interrupted the fight between The Other and Scrier who were threatening to destroy all of MARVEL. So if a full Galactus can actually harm them, he’s gotta be insane.
Then there’s LifeBringer Galactus where he’s always at 100%, and dude can effortlessly perceive, create, and destroy an infinite amount of timelines. Now if he takes a life or absorbs anything he loses the LifeBringer state, but in this Death Battle he can only lose it by killing Unicron, which just means he wins. Also even if you do kill him, since he’s integral to the Universe he will just respawn. Also there is a Nexus Galactus who is literally just every Galactus in Marvel combined into one Galactus (basically True Form Darksied). So if Unicron has to fight that Galactus to win I just can’t see it because that Galactus is basically up there with Nexus Infinity and Nexus Living Tribunal who are literally Outerversal.

I can not wait for this battle! I have been wait for this fights every since I started watching Death Battle. Have lost count on how many times I have suggested this fight.
I've always thought that Galactus is about as evil as a hurricane. He just exists and doesn't do it for any ultimate purpose other then survive.
Except Hurricanes aren't sentient and if Galactus is really all powerful, he could use that power to find a way to cure his hunger without killing people.

Except Galactus does have a purpose. For all the destruction he causes, he's the one who's going to start the next Big Bang after his universe dies. He's the answer to the problem of Entropy.
As for finding a way to cure his hunger without killing people, he's tried. Repeatedly. It usually ends up making things worse. Mighty though Galactus may be, the one true God of the Marvel universe is the Status Quo.
I watched a vid on Unicrons history to be surprised at one point he was a multiverseal being at one point but they put an end to that in a comic, so unless DB keeps that I think Galactus has this. Still can’t wait for this battle to go down
True, Unicron used to be an omnipotent being till that comic you mentioned removed that trait. But if DB really go with their aim to use a character at their peak, then there’s a chance they’ll allow Unicron to be Omnipotent again for the match up.
How else would they be able to use most of Unicron’s powers from multiple timelines (psychic torture/G1, physical regeneration/Armada, Dark Energon/Aligned, etc) if they didn’t?

The biggest issue with Galactus is the range of his strength has been inconsistent. His weakest defeats had him scraping by as planet level whereas his highest feats and implications seem to have him as an Archetypal Force
Galactus has also never been seen at the height of his power because he cannot be full. But Galactus is also supposed to represent death and be the equal to the Phoenix Force, so..

@@mmraf1 though the thing with Unicron is he's usually defeated by a special macguffin rather than pure strength. Even than he's usually not killed per see rather momentarily dormant.
Death Battle looks at characters at their strongest. Multiverse level Galactus is assured.
The fact that they dint use the idw manga for megatron but use the super manga and anime for Frieza which are different continuities just tells me unicron probably about to take a fat L here

Just to clarify in the video they say that the Ultimates are incarnations of the multiverse but this is not true, in reality each of them is an Omniverse, like the true form of Eternity which encompasses the entire Omniverse, and Galactus Lifebringer or with the Nullifier scales them, poor Unicron.
True, Galactus has better feats but the problem is that he jobs a lot.
