최근에 필리핀 수도 마닐라에 엄청 큰 쇼핑몰에 있는 태국요리음식점에서 볶음밥과 똠양꿍 주문해서 먹었는데 기대를 너무 해서 인지 아까운 돈만 날려서 기분이 별로였어요,태국 치앙마이에서 먹은 것과 천지차이더군요 ㅠㅠ

태국음식 엄청 좋아해서 프레씨가 추천하는 가게 가봐야지 했는데 ㅋㅋ
이집 똠얌꿍이랑 팟타이 진짜 맛있었는데!!
맛있는 녀석들에 나온 식당이군요.
식자재를 다 태국에서 직접 공수해서 만든다고 하니 현지맛이 잘 날것 같아요.
기회되면 찾아가보겠습니다.

You can eat somtam with padthai the combination is really good. Sometimes we eat somtam with plain fried noodle (just noodle and chives - salty and sweet). And if you cant eat spicy somtam like this you can tell the staff to put just 1 chilli (dried chilli is spicier than fresh chilli). Another tips if you think tom yum kung soup is too rich we have tom yum kung without coconut milk (clear soup) and you dont have to eat any herb in the soup just mushroom and meat (onion or shallot is ok)

As a Thai person living in Korea, I can vouch for that restaurant. Food is bomb, taste just like in Thailand.
So early! Looks delicious! I have no idea if the Thai food where I live is authentic, to be honest.
Tom Yam Kung may be off-putting with the smell but the taste is SO good despite the sourness. Very flavorful spices in it and not so spicy to me, tbh. Yes, I've had genuine Thai food - and being in Los Angeles for the past 5 years I've been exposed to a lot of traditional and non-traditional cuisine. My fave is Phò. Yes, Vietnamese food. Thai would be my second.

A Thai restaurant in Korea? Wow. Worth trying it if I happen to travel there.
Also, there’s that one dish that grabbed my attention immediately. It kind of looked like bibimbap based on arrangement. There are some comparisons made between tom yum goong and the sinigang in the PH.
Another thing, I can’t tell if Dave was serious about the always depressed comment.
I also think it tastes like spicier sinigang. I love both.
Similar sour taste like sinigang but spicier and way more 'aromatic'/pungent/fragrant from various herbs used like lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, galangal, fish sauce & etc.. Gravy is usually thicker if coconut milk is used.
Tom yum goong has coconut milk? Intriguing. Makes me want to find a Thai restaurant nearby.

When I think of Thai food, Pad Thai, Tom Yam Khung, Papaya salad, Mango sticky rice and Thai ice tea are what come to mind. Surprised Prae didn't order mango sticky rice and Thai ice tea, those are staples in my opinion.

You should definitely eat Thai food. I am Singaporean so we have access to Thai food / Thailand easily. I also ate a lot of Thai food when I was doing student exchange in the US too because i missed Asian food.
