From Dream High to Vincenzo, Taecyeon has made immense improvement. I'm still amazed at how well he played his character in Vincenzo

JYP definitely saw something in the 6 guys when he put them into the same group. They click together well as a group but give each other space to be individuals while supporting one another. All of them are really down to earth and realistic when it comes to staying in the industry. They don't care that much of chasing after trends or music chart positions but instead they go for projects that suits them and make music that they like.
He was so underrated
I can see that JYP doesn't like to be overshadowed by his male artists that's Why he been sticking his nose in every 2pm performance and got7 ... Twice
I love that Taecyon just seems like a chill dude who goes along whatever comes his way. Acting? Sure, why not. Singing? Yeah, let's try.

Same here... And lived for 10 years in US, and speak very well English, he is very a friendly personality and nice when he travels and talk willingly with people. His voice and acting is very perfectly played in Vincenzo... Love it

Funnily enough, in a variety program he called himself the uncle when asked what his role would be if 2PM was a family unit. Khun was the patriarch while Chansung was the family pet ๐
I donโt think Taec realizes the international sensation they had and still do because they were the first โmanlyโ and โbeastlyโ idols that really generated a whole era of the tough idol image. Till this day, a lot of the strong and tough boy themes we see in our idol groups very much resemble what 2PM did whether groups do it intentionally or not.

@@dirys24 I love tvxq but lets be honest they were moreso the first popular sensual group and not the tough bad boy. Beastly as in manly and muscular was definitely 2pm. I cant remember a group as popular as them that did that concept better than them and JYP himself gave 2pm that theme of beastly and after that they were known as beastly idols. That trend didnt exist before them until 2pm made it popular i believe.

Iโm impressed how Taec has been able to maintain this level of English. I also lived in the states for 9 years for school and itโs been over 3 years since I returned to Asia - I can tell my English is deteriorating.
Taecyeon is someone that seems so authentic, down to earth, very grounded, sincere and nice.
During 2nd gen, I was so fixated on looking at videos of kpop idols speaking English. I wasnโt a 2pm stan but I could never find a longer video of Taecyeon speaking English until this interview. Itโs so cool. I love that he hasnโt lost his English

Taecyon deserves all of his success because he is one of the rare humble guys in the industry. He is just chill and enjoyed his work. Its true that luck and fortune will chase those who are very hard working, humble, kind and wise. I hope he stays that way. I will always support him. And I just love him as the crazy vampire in Hearbeat. โค
That was it!! "Heartbeat." I thought Taecyeon was a superb actor; was so natural. Then I learned he started in modeling via a NYC audition!! I think he has that personality in real life; (probably excellent parenting) comfortable in his own skin, genuine. And like the best in the business, figured "natural" worked in acting. And there you have it; a trained Korean actor probably debuting in some American series or movie; maybe one day standing up in an audience of his peers graciously accepting his first Golden Globe or Emmy or Oscar. Good Luck. Hope I'm around for it.
I found Taecyeon through Vincenzo and he was SO good that I kind of just fell down a Taec/2PM rabbit hole and I haven't looked back since. They're such a great group, truly ahead of their time with their bops and Taec's as well as Junho's acting is so fun to watch. I really hope he gets cast in more international shows/movies, he's so talented and deserves the world ๐ฅน๐ฅน๐ฅน

taec said he just go to uni as if he doesn't study at all ๐ his prof said u just need to attend the class, stand in the front just let people take photos and finally he passed and graduated. i don't~ think sooooo..taec is one of the brilliant/smart idols, he just being humble ๐
If i'm not mistaken, in one of the talk shows the hosts said that he is in the top 5 in the class. He's also further to post graduate courses in Korea uni.

This interview made me realise how 1st and 2nd generation were more older /grown up when they debut...While 3rd generation were so young and 4th is even younger, like Seventeen's Dino was 16 and Enhypen's Nikki was 14... And now there are even younger... It's scary how they didn't have time to grow up, room to make mistakes and learn and are exposed to everyone who judges them and all...
I love Taecyeon's attitude, so positive and bright and so open... It's first interview that I am watching of his but huge fan of his dramas, and currently watching heartbeat. And I agree, after blind, heartbeat is like a fresh cool air after a summer heated sun...
@@JewelryB I got into Kpop in 2016, but tell me were they exception or the rule? Were these "tons of idols" the rule or the exception? Because now it is a rule, now the younger the better, now a Taecyeon wouldn't be given the time to get into college, experience real life before debuting. Now some of them barely would get the time to pass middle/high school before their debut. Now anyone over 23-25 would be told to not dream about ever debuting because they are past their prime time... Of course there are exceptions in every Gen but the general rule has changed and there should be no denial to it that the more time passes, the more the more they aren't given the opportunity to grow up like a normal kid because the industry has changed and they want fresh, young and all-round idols they can shape into certain curated personality that's in demand of the market, they now are products... This comment wasn't meant to provoke, it was an opinion many of us had, think about when we see younger and younger children debuting knowing how difficult the training is and how tougher the environment is in companies... One can't help but wonder how much pressure and difficulties they were put in such a young age and how they have to grow a thick skin and learn to handle some many things before even reaching adulthood... The thought behind the comment was one of compassion, not competition between the Gen...
I'm not sure whether to agree or disagree with your first statement....1st and 2nd gen were older but not that much older either.
1st gen: H.O.T, NRG, S.E.S and Fly to the Sky's maknaes turned 16 just before their debuts and these are just the ones who were very well-known and popular back then. All members were teenagers in international age. Shinhwa, Fin.KL and SechsKies are other well-known groups in which all members were teens at debut (aged 17 to 19).
g.o.d was the rare one where their maknae was 18 and the 3 oldest members were in their 20s (well Joon was forced to lie about his age and the guy was 30 at debut).
2nd gen: DBSK ot5 debuted with maknae Changmin at age 15 while the oldest members were 17. Shinee's oldest hadn't even turned 19 and their maknae hadn't turned 15 yet. Big Bang's maknae hadn't turned 16 yet and their oldest was 18.
SuJu (pre Kyuhyun), 2PM, Beast/Highlight were the few where everyone was 18 and above at debut and their oldest member(s) were aged 20 or above.
Yass!!! DBSK was BIG BIG. And I really admire Taec's optimism. I would think his trainee period and even his debut in 2pm would be filled with challenges. But his positive outlook on his life events (seeing them as new challenges to be faced and overcome) is really really really inspiring.
He's such a chilled person, and finds fun in everything, it's amazing. He doesn't stress himself out and just does his best.
his role in Vincenzo changed my life we got to see he's such an amazing actor he literally played two roles in one and he was so amazing in both, I just loved it
He is one of the best korean actor. The way he played Babel CEO ๐my god !! He should play hero as well as villain roles too . He is just too good

The way Taec talks about keeping up with how music is made now and how they want to protect 2PM is so on point. I think Iโd be happy with them just being able to go on tour with their old songs if possible one day!

I did fall in love with 2pm and snsd too so I was still a happy kpop fan. (And it makes me happy seeing Junho and Yoona in the same drama)

Iโm so glad that I joined the korean wave during that era in the days that 2PM and all those awesome groups mentioned were all in their prime although I was always a huge BigBang VIP, I loved following all those great groups in the early 2000s, I really fell for Taecyeon, his personality and humbleness, he was very respectful towards others not to mention how funny he is, I pretty much watched every show he appeared on.
Itโs so nice and refreshing to see he hasnโt changed one bit, I was pleasantly surprised to see Taec on the show๐
It's so surreal now seeing Taec casually mentioning all the other 2nd Gens groups cause before it was even hard to hear them talk about other groups as much. I forgot how big they were back then and a lot of them are still super humble now.

- THE BEST PERSONALIYY EVER๐ besides being a smart brain, having a master, running a business & speaking multiple languages fluently, he's the kindest & most fun soul to be around & people in the industry whether they've met him recently or knew him for a long time can testify to that!
Also, Hottest( 2PM's fandom) call him the president of the fandom, exactly cause he responds to fans tweets so randomly๐๐๐ & is always aware of the concerns & worries they have. He's like a bestie for the fandom and that's why we love him๐

This totally changed my view on Taec; heโs totally the opposite of what I thoughtโฆhe seemed so serious and heโs actually very chill and easy-going. He should know that he unintentionally gave some good advice and I learned a lot from this episode. I like how unafraid he is at taking on new things and humble he is at admitting he might not do well yet still giving it a try๐๐ผ itโs no surprise things work out for him well since heโs got a good mindset. Need to add, I went to a 2pm concert in 2015 and they did amazing! Wish they had toured the states in celebration of their 15th anniversary too.

I never thought it was possible but this might be my new favourite episode. Ever since Nichkhun came on, I've been praying for Taec to come on. Took awhile but I got what I wanted in the end.

i think the challenge is getting everyone together i mean look a Junho he has dramas back to back Taec too this dramas take a year to prep so i understand if making music is imposible.
I think it is safe to say 2PM is more of less over and will only live as a wonderful club house full of memories that the members will want to visit occasionally yet sparingly.
Taecyeon is still a very young man, yet this is how the idol industry works when you hit 30. And these companies usually whip the members in shape and force them to be active. W/o that push, most groups fade into inactive periods and individual projects.
Takes money to produce, sell and promote music. They can still be qiate viable, but I'm afraid we will never see a real musical effort from these guys ever again.

@@alantes I don't think they are over. They will certainly have concerts perhaps every year and add one or two songs just for the fans. Anyway, hottest will always be important to 2PM and anything they do as a group or individual will always be fr hottest. Jun K. And Junho still releasing songs.
However, they proved, time and again, that they take the group very seriously. They are having concert ahead for their 15th anniv, and Junho, JunK, and Wooyoung are actively releasing and producing songs for their solos or JYP groups/upcoming groups. Khun, Woo and JunK also went to Japan for mini concert/fanmeeting at the beginning of this year. Pretty much not over. If the concert is successful, I think they may consider touring Asia (Japan is the most likely their next destination for full fledged concert since their fanbase is quite huge and loyal there).
I need more content from Taecyeon.. He is so much fun, that fine man really wins the heartbeat ๐

It just popped up on Prime and I gave it a go...
This drama is so refreshing and light hearted that I feel in love with it.. which is rare for me..
The actors did a very good job..
Rom-com's are usually overactive but Heartbeat is not and it makes the show standout to me
Also Taec-yeon is so good in this show that he's my new fav actor
So I'm hooked up for rest of the episodes...

I learned a lot about this actor with an unusual name: Taeceyon, after "Heartbeat." Am totally impressed with his trajectory in Korea, the States, then Korea, and hopefully again in the States!! Am now watching Vincenzo!!, am at the 9 iron against the windshield!๐ฒ
