Every season we talk about this with Jokic.. Last season there was a stretch when he didn’t shoot it at all.. He has these lapses and then turns it up.

@@t-mac1951 Fact is even when in shape, he is a defensive liability and is an inconsistent scorer. He is an unbelievable passer, one of the best we've ever seen but him losing weight isn't going to fix the fact he's unathletic and inconsistent. Much of it has to do in my opinion his mentality, I don't know if it's weakness or what but you can't be scoring 30 and then 6 the next night as the best player on the team. This has happened previous seasons as well, his weight is not the main issue.

Denver players cannot hit 3ptrs and that's it, once they start hitting open perimeter shots Jokic will have more chance to score, assist and bunny-hop (offence rebound and point) more points..

Instead he'd rather play good team basketball and cruise to a 40 point win. When he needs to eg, last years playoffs and in big regular season games, he often goes off. Well if his team is playing good he doesn't need to waste his energy at all. Last game vs Celtics is clear example of that, nuggets were playing so bad but Jokic was the only one who was rolling the celtics. Nuggets simply have deep roster and stats are equally shared to almost every player
