First take often imparts knowledge and wisdom upon it's viewers,but I found this particular segment to be especially exceptional.
Both Steven A and Max not only made good points but in the process offered: some closure and stark clarity through a profound level of articulation of the subject.

Also, it worked with Peyton that one time because there wasn't anyone reading that hand-off, but the scheme that Lamar runs requires the unblocked edge rusher to read where the ball is at. Sure, it might be easy to see in an image, but not in real life when the QB stuffs his entire forearm and the ball in the belly of the RB and rapidly rips them out.

If this was such an advantage you'd have every NFL QB wearing an undershirt the exact same color as the ball.
If they did the NFL would just invent a rule to counter it. Much like the MLB; you can't wear long, white sleeves in the MLB.
It requires much more reaction skills to hit a pitch in the MLB, however, than it does to read the option hand-off in the NFL, but the camouflage effect isn't completely obsolete from the game of football. It May not be a game-changer, but it has its effects sure enough.

Agreed this was better than what’s on most news channels. I think Max nails what a decent white guy in America thinks about these issues and he bravely admits to being apprehensive of the reaction. Stephen A honestly surprised me with the nuance of his response when he said African Americans are unable to trust the intention because of the undertones that have been normalized over the years. White people have tried to belittle black athletes accomplishments by making it seem like they are just natural talents and didn’t work for it like whites. That’s a real problem there’s no denying it’s happened and it should be pushed back against. The point is you need to consider those entrenched narratives and how easy it is to be interpreted as a continuation of the undertone if you want to comment, Tim Ryan didn’t do that but still it was a minor infraction and when someone like Richard Sherman steps up everyone except the far left is appeased. I’m thankful for Richard Sherman listen to their talk before the comments they are totally bashing Tim Ryan but it seems like Richard Sherman Gabe them the strength to be honest about it

I agree, but black people are one of the first to bring race into something. Especially since it is such a touchy subject that can thwart most confrontations and evem fairly made criticisms of individuals. But until white people stop acting guilty for something they didn't have anything to do with, and quit treating black people differently or acting differently around them, it seems the cycle will continue. If everyone wants it to not be a problem, they have to quit acting like there always is one. That's on every side, everywhere. We see so much BS on TV about it, but race almost never comes up in my day to day life. And when it does, it is 99.9% of the time, not in a negative way or an issue to anyone involved. And i live out in the country in SE NC, considered to be pretty deep in the south by most standards.

I don't think it was intended to demean his skill. His abilities are at least 95% him but it's possible that the occasional play from time to time might be affected by this issue. Two or three plays where that works to an advantage could make the difference. With that being said, he would still be playing great right now even with a pink football.
