If Wash drafts Maye his career will not be great. He needs to sit a year, maybe more
2024 could turn out to be the best QB draft ever. Could be as many as seven star QBs coming out, including Rattler. A little surprising to hear that Maye could benefit from sitting for a year, just like McCarthy. That could mean Caleb, Daniels, and Penix are the only ones that look like day-one starters. That could factor into some draft decisions. Also, I was very surprised that Penix ran a 4.46 40, faster than some good receivers. With his past knee injuries, I figured he'd be more of a 4.7 guy. Probably doesn't matter, with his arm-cannon. His team won't be asking him to run much.

Drake Maye had my respect for choosing North Carolina over other schools and staying committed to his home state school and childhood team until he opted out of the bowl game. That shows me that he's a follower, not a leader. He doesn't have the courage to think for himself and make his own moves.
