For ppl who complain about them cutting crispy edges, they do it since some ppl get cuts inside of their mouths sometimes,
so they do it to prevent that

But shouldn't they ask yhe customer first whether they would like the edges to be cut or not?
@@chupit7323 well customers are tricky u know. some of them are obnoxious, they might complain even if they said they want the edgy. they just do it to prevent all those unnecessary fight I guess
But also it might be because when yo cut it off it just looks better. So it might be for presentation.
i also find that more hygienic since the crust comes from spilled batter that was cooked on the edge of the machine..
All these people could be saying the funniest things and we would never know

It tastes like exactly same as if you take like 4 gallons of whipped cream you do taste that awful oily taste, that is what tastes of this waffle.

I'd imagine some places will do that just for the rustic look and crispy caramelized texture it has, just like some places keep the potato skins on french fries.
