His question was more specific, what helps you decide if you like your song enough to release it? His question was effectively what work goes into it and what results do you look for? Her answer was effectively I don’t like it until I do. Nothing new was actually learned here. Also “making music” and “working on a song” is the exact same thing.

It makes sense if you are a musician. If you never drop songs, you just work them up until they are a good song. That's an artistic process. I was in a band with someone like that once. I would want to scrap songs that weren't working for me and she would want to work on them until they became something special! Add a breakdown. Add a new harmony. Etc etc. The hatred for this woman is really telling.

To be fair she very almost did; the length of the episode is due to how bland she is as a person!

That being said, I think she is just young and cares a lot about how other people percieve her....despite the "idgaf" attitude she has to put on, she seems really nervous and out of her element here. She keeps asking Sean if she looks okay, etc. I think she psyched herself out with trying way too hard to keep her composure while also eating spicy food, which is obviously meant to break your composure. You know its bad when this is essentially just as focused on the hot sauce as it is on her.

But really, there have been young people on the show before and they weren't like this. She's probably shy/introverted. I've heard her describe herself as confident in past interviews. It may be her trying to manifest confidence more than anything.
