Lewis' father had to get multiple jobs to be able to afford to support his very young son's dream. What if he didn't decide to make such a decision? The sport would be robbed of arguably the greatest driver its ever seen. The point is that most black and brown people historically and currently have never been in the same financial status as most of their white counterparts. You say its about getting "the very best" but what about the literal diamonds in the rough out there that'll never be discovered simply because they couldn't pay the price of admission? I don't understand why trying to get more diversity in a sport that clearly lacking in it grinds your gears.
