1:57 actually I got my kitten prepared for the Christmas tree using a mini tree, and he hasn't ransacked the main Christmas tree yet. He mainly just napped in the branches for an hour and a half
Update: It didn't work. Mere days before Christmas my two kittens (Spider and Basil) were caught roaming the tree.
@@amethystpanda9944 its actually really dangerous for cats to think they can climb christmas trees. mine bites the lights and is at risk of ingesting glass, and also inhaling parts of the actual tree (my tree is fake because i live in australia and we dont use real christmas trees, but same goes for real trees) can block their digestion system. a mini tree would be safer if they tipped it over tho

9:05 Its called a "Singing Christmas Tree". I only know it cause of my mom has talked about it for my entire life. My mom did this with some big group in the 90s before I was born. Its a common choir thing for the holidays. Often its performed in a concert hall. There are some super famous groups.

We got a flocked tree a couple years back, and my cat was terrified of it. He hid and would not even come out to go to the bathroom, and ended up with a bladder infection. I ended up with a vet bill.
We did not traumatize him on purpose, and now I introduce him to the tree before we bring it in, and make him watch us set it up. Also no more flocked.
Keep being the best, Gloom. I love your channel and what you do so much. I look up to you so much.

I have two cats and i would never do this to them! Cats may seem like prideful and selfish animals but thats not true. They get scared very easily and they can get a life long trauma from a lot of things.
The way i taught my cats to "behave" and be happy is by letting them do almost anything and calmly take them away from something if they do something wrong - that way they earn your trust and love, its very hard to teach your cat something if it doesnt trust you
