Yea, smørrebrød isn’t really considered breakfast in Denmark, most commonly a lunch item. I think the most normal Danish breakfast is a couple of painkillers and a cup of coffee

We do eat them in Sicily for breakfast and we have also granita (flavored shaved ice) which we eat with a brioche as well. It's very common in the summer to have them for breakfast, but some people also have them in other seasons as a snack, i usually have my first around March or April. It's Amazing.

I'm Colombian and it's so weird to see them eat arepa con huevo. It's truly great though it is usually not a runny egg, it actually should have an airy but set consistency.

"Smørrebrød" is for sure NOT a breakfast item in Denmark.
It is in 99% of cases eaten for lunch - Danish breakfast is something along the lines of Cornflakes with milk/yoghurt or some pieces of bread with jam and cheese.

I'm so happy that you featured Singapore with our Kaya toast with boiled egg and soy sauce! The Mythical Kitchen actually did a pretty good job at recreating the dish, and I'm glad that you both enjoyed it too :D It's one of the most traditional simple breakfast foods here ~ comforting and delicious ^^
