I'm just like these girls whenever I watch a kdrama. It's like 10 episodes in and I freak out when the main couple finally hold hands. Doesn't matter that I've seen full on contact on American shows, episode 1.

As an american, i’m the same way when i watch kdramas. To me, american dramas move too fast. And kdramas seem a bit more realistic for relationships that actually become meaningful and may last longer. That slow burn is way better in my opinion. I never got into romance dramas until i watched kdramas because american romance dramas are always issing something.
Like Happiness. That drama don't have a lot of Skinships or anything...
But them just looking at each other or them holding hands... Makes me scream the heck out of me.
When they kissed, damn. I honestly forgot to breathe.
I love how koreans put emotions without the need for skinship! 365 repeat the year is the best example .. the main leads weren't even in a relationship , till the end ..but we saw and we felt in the whole drama their love for each other ..like u see it through their eyes!
In american shows i dont feel that at all, i cant see any emotions..its all about skinship . Thats why i dont watch any romantic movies/series
@@warmth9649 Omg exactly. Happiness is such a great example. Korean dramas are honestly more realistic to me. They shows the real chemistry between two characters without much skinship..

You know what is strange...I don't get excited when in a English Show in Ep1 all of it happens but i get super pumped up when finally the leads just hold hands in K-dramas ...That's what's called anticipation which i love getting.
Cos it's so much more meaningful and it shows they have given it a lot of thought. In English shows it's treated much more lightly.
