Argue what you will, but Scottie, MJ, and Phil Jackson kept him on the team through 3 championships for a reason.
Edit: Mark Frost is making up arguments to argue against. LOL nobody is saying Charles Barkley sucks or that Rodman made MJ. The argument is that he brought defensive and offensive options through his sheer presence on the court, not that he single-handedly made his teams. Know why?? HE'S A HALL OF FAME PLAYER. Google it--most pro writers agree--the hall is NOT for role players. he was a BUM. I guess Joe Klien was the greatest center in history, right?? Because there were superstar big men back in the day so they always feed them in the post just like Malone or a simple pick and pop or pick and roll, if the opposing team double team him he kicks out to the shooter simple as that. That's why Malone and Stockton were so effective.
The gameplay right now is ridiculous and foolish at times as it focuses on the 3 point shot which is the least efficient shot. I'll give you an example which happens a lot in today's NBA. In an offensive play during a switch where the offensive big man is being guarded by a small guy, instead of giving the ball to the big man in the post, the offense let the offensive guard who's being guarded by a big man isolate on the top (3 point area) hoping to create distance for a three point attempt. No matter how effective you are as a shooter the 3 point shot is less efficient because it is farther from the basket as oppose to giving it to the big guy who can easily get past his smaller defender on the post.
This is why the Spurs has been present in the playoffs since 1995 from David Robinson to TIm Duncan and now Lamarcus Aldridge. They always have an anchor in the post and play inside-out instead of throwing hail mary's every offensive play. Simple efficient offense plus great defense, that's the winning formula.
It's sad that everybody wants to copy the Warrior's formula when they got lucky by drafting two great shooters plus an anchor in defense in Green and now Durant which I really don't like because he took the easy way out but that's another topic, to me they are an exception. If I pick the Jordan Bulls and current Warriors. I would definitely pick the Jordan Bulls because that team played simple basketball using MJ as the anchor in the post and is surrounded by effective role players and another star in Pippen. Just like the old NBA they play inside-out which is far efficient than attempting threes everytime. If that three gets defended properly it's easy to lose confidence and eventually lose your rhythm and before you know it your team is getting clobbered.
Besides the zone defense in the NBA is a joke, how can you call it zone defense when you can't stay in the shaded area without guarding anyone or else you'll get a 3 second defensive violation. There's a gaping hole in the middle when team employs zone and the quick athletic guards are capitalizing on that stupid rule.

Ulysses432 here ill break it down simpler for you. Lmao you're gunna love this, because your hilarious comment holds no water, and now I'm going to make it so that people reading this realize, who in fact needs to go back to school. 40 percent of 50 is 20, 55 percent of 50 is 27.5.......now if you take both of those values, and multiplied it accordingly, if I made 20 three pointers out of 50 shots which is 40 percent made of total shots, I would get a value of 60. If I made 27.5 shots out of 50 which is 55 percent, it would give me a value of 55. Now, last time I checked 60>55. Correct me if I'm wrong. Geez I'm sorry to do that to you, I really am, but you forced my hand.

This was one of the best games I ever watched. The series was evenly matched and Rodman was a huge factor in the series. His energy was off the charts> I watched Rodman guard everyone from Malone to Shaq and he played them all hard and tough while being quite smaller than most he was tasked with. Didnt always agree with his antics, but Rodman was a defensive force and a rebounding machine. Couldnt shoot a lick but impacted the game through sheer energy and will.

junior2404 - this right here. When you can play defense like back then, you can't just play like teams today do shooting indiscriminately. Nonstop passing like today's teams couldn't be done with the defensive physicality - there would be too many turnovers and interceptions. This also gave shooters less time and space to shoot which affected shooting percentages. Like you said, teams needed to find ways to score - that was what the game was about.
