Her portrayal of Rose the Hat was astounding. She's both sexy and terrifying. One of best realized cinema villains in recent history.

Rose O’Hara was born in 1319, in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. She was alone when she was younger, possibly because people feared her “extraordinary gifts”. She was later given the gif of “purpose” and “community” by a True Knot member- which is when she joined. Skip about 400 years later and it’s the 18th century. Rose and the knot embark on a ship to America- cuz this was during early colonization. She was known as Irish Rose during this time. Shortly after arriving to America- a war broke out. The war was between the colonies of British America and New France, each side was being supported by native Indians. Rose found Crow Daddy during this war, he was a Native Indian tracker. Rose turned him and he became her lover. Skip around 170 years later- it’s the Great Depression! This was a fantastic time for the Knot. This is when Rose found a mystical top hat that later became apart of her Identity- Rose the Hat. She became the leader around that time.

I thought the Hat itself was considerably older than merely 100yrs ago. The hat is supposed to define her, I thought. I assumed it goes back a long way and went thru various incarnations (much like the guy from Highlander had to do, changing names/locations/personas). Something INTERESTING.

She is gorgeus, and i enjoyed the movie a lot, there were reminiscenses from the original, but the history in general was well crafted, its a long movie but never boring, i think it was a great sequel and intelligently developed

Pete Puebla same In the books it's said there use to be more of them 200 strong and did you know in the books they predicted 911 and actually witnessed it but I believe that pontius Pilate the man that sentenced Jesus to crucifiction was a trueknot of a different tribe and tortured Jesus for his steam he's probably the one that turned grandpa flick into a knot and Jesus was a powerful shiner .

Jordan Arlan you know what's weird when I saw the original shining by Stanley Kubrick I thought what if Stephen king wrote doctor sleep during that time and Stanley made the sequel I thought who would play rose and Michelle pfeifer totally popped in my head

Max Ramos It’s the nickname that Danny Torrance is given in the hospital that he works in. The people in there gave him that name because he was the one who stayed with the patients that were about to die so they could be with someone in their final moments.
