Those are just the people who agreed to be recorded and posted on the internet. I'm sure there were dozens more people they asked. Of course people will try to help, but this small batch of students don't represent all of Korea. I've had Koreans straight up ignore me or tell me they can't help me and just keep walking while I was lost in Korea.

It's not easy to speak in a foreign language. It's especially harder to speak when put on the spot. I was lost in Busan and while crossing the street I asked a girl, in my very broken korean and then tried English, if she could tell me how to get to my destination. She didnt speak but started looking for things on her phone and kindly showed me how to get there. I managed to get back safe because of her. All this to say, the Korean people I met were so helpful and kind, even if they are not comfortable speaking they find ways to help. So 감사합니다 Busan girl, I still remember that kindness.
