I built an electric flying Iron Man suit! It uses 26 EDF (electric jets) that let the user fly for about 1 minute. Each suit part is also capable of flying on its own for a remote auto summon. It took 2 years of development and over $50,000 to finish. It was my hardest project yet, I hope you enjoy it! #ironman

Woah colin
Hush, you. Get back to digging ;)
i love your videos especially the hulkbuster one😮
omg colin im such a fan luv u
Eyy yo Colin!
The fact that the first thing he said when the backpack thing was exploding on his back was "no body come close, nobody come near here" made me gain alot more respect for him
Like jumping on a grenade
thats what i was thinking too

Man's a true chad
The crazy thing is Tony in the movie also almost died when testing it. If it wasn't done for comedic effect, he would have been seriously injured when he was testing the thrust at 10% power and slammed into the wall at 100 mph. So I appreciate seeing you take the safety precautions in this video.
Seriously injured? He most likely be paralised or deceased. He smashed his whole body head first against a wall and then fell several feet. Brain and spine damage would be the least of his problems.
I love how he shows us the process and somehow makes it look exactly like the thumbnail this guy is a genius
It's almost as if the thumbnail is a photo of the real thing... crazy, I know.
@@turtlemaster872send a timestamp of when the thumbnail happened in the video.
i’ve never seen J that emotional about anything, but the fact that he persevered and continued on with the project just shows how much he cares abt his ideas and his content creation. You’re an absolute legend J, great video keep up the fantastic work👍🏼💯
I Agree👍
I agree agree👍👍
Indeed made me tear up a lil how passionate he is and he takes it on himself when failures come but he still is determined to overcome
Thank you, yeah this one's very special to me!
So true
I can’t believe he’s been wanting to do this for 14 years, that’s dedication
That's a bot

Who has not been wanting to do this for 14years?
I feel like he hasn’t uploaded in forever, however the gap before I thought it was pretty fast. Time is so slow
Who hasn't
I really know the pain with hardware errors, especially when you don‘t know what the error is. Man this takes some very strong will power to still figure it out, no matter the time and the costs. Huge respect.
10:09 "Why are you working out? You do sport?"
"Nah, man. For science. I'm making an iron man suit."
"Oh.. kay...?"
Nvm he said months
“Should be out in two or 3 months”
Mad props to this guy for not only losing around 20 pounds, pushing through emotional, financial, *and* technical turmoil, but also caring more about the safety of his friends than for his own (when the Mark 2 started sparking, he told them to stay away, not come put it out). Brilliant show of spirit, well done.

I know bro I shed a tear at this, I hope he didnt get hurt internally. Since we dont know what happens between cuts🤕.
Exactly! This video wasn't only dope because of what he accomplished. But it's also dope because he really showed his heart in this one.

Thats reckless and stupud.
Absolutely not worth admiration, it's a bad precedent.
You have safety rules for a good reason
@14:24 iron man scared of his own toys 😂
Jokes apart...
Continue inspiring us as always....🔥
Congratulations! So proud of you, you finished the project I never could, you made it real! 🙌
Edit: since everyone's gonna ask -- we stopped working on flying like iron man when Richard Browning came out with Gravity Industries in 2019 -- and probably a good thing too, cause based on what Jake spent on this... we woulda gone bankrupt back then! Seeing Jake do it brings a tear to my eye, I am seriously happy for him. It does make me kinda wish we kept going back then -- but then again Hacksmith Industries might never have became the company it is today if we had!
All for the best, besides, Jake makes a much better Tony than I ever did 😄
you should try a collab with jlazer
Still a lot that can be done to make it better

@@kingecyrbbro tf? have u ever even watched any of hacksmith videos?
A long, long time ago (33 years...) a I was a young man. I had this dream. I sat in libraries trying to make it work. I quickly realised it was impossible. Well, not impossible, but too many technologies weren't there, or in their infancy. A dozen things to get working first. More than a lifetimes work. Heartbroken, I moved on to other things I could do. Not enough giants backs to stand on.
I'm 50 this year and I see this. Another smart young boy with my dream but this time, the tech is within reach. Possible. I was crying half way through and sobbing by the end. YES!!! You did it! You made our dream come true. I had put it so far back I had forgotten that boy a bit. I can't tell you how this feels. Thank you so much.
"Why do I keep doing this?"
'Cause that's what heroes do.
Holy cow...
reading this was enjoyable
I read this in Tony Stark's voice
Wow
This man is gonna be the reason why we’re gonna get flying cars respect for this man
Crazy to see how much this man has accomplished.
Respect for you putting your crew before yourself. When sparks began to fly and you told nobody to come close incase of some kind of explosion. Complete respect big man, you are amazing.
fr, that was cute
I couldn't believe this was made by a guy with a KRplus channel in a garage and not by some rich millionaire company. What an insane achievement! You've already impressed me a lot with the Spider-Man sticking machine and now the Iron-Man, it's just a higher level of dedication. It looks cool and actually works really well too! Props to you and your team for making this video possible, I hope this video goes viral so that it'll inspire more people to become like you :)
It just shows that Tony Stark wasn't just a rich guy, he was a dedicated genkus, just like this legend right here
@@nemanjaradovanovic8033 well i mean, tony was only rich BECAUSE he was a genius
Now imagine if he had the money of Tony Stark
@@YSleepish his father created the company, he'd be rich regardless. But yeah, the company (and his net worth) did boost because of he's a genius
He wasted 40k usd on the first attempt, something tells me he's rich in some way..

It looks like the problem with the batteries bursting into flames is the fact that the batteries aren't all evenly charged so one of them discharges lower than the rest while still pulling full power and that cell will heat up rappidly and burst into flames. I think you would need a BMS system to manage them to make sure all cells in the pack are charged evenly and discharging evenly.
Ok, this is officially the coolest thing on the internet, a guy in his garage made something that real tech companies haven’t done yet! This is insane, congratulations man
Facts
are you sure about that?
I mean they definitely have but this is still super cool!!
I feel Jealous XD
I wish to be like this in future
What if he arranges the fans in a circle on each arm and tilt all the fans on the edge to 45 degrees facing outward to make balancing easier tho
Gotta be honest. When the first successful test flight happened I almost teared up. It's great that you documented the challenges with the project and showed us that this was no easy project to complete. It's actually more inspirational to see the trials and tribulations than if we had just gotten the finished product. Really well done man, that was incredible.

I cracked a big smile when you first took off outside, but the most impressive thing was your perseverance. Congrats on a massive milestone!

ikr, I couldn't stop smiling too.
As an engineer and programmer myself, I feel the amount of dedication and time you must have put into this project. Literally thinking about all the problems you had to fix and things you had to do to get this to work gives me a headache. Must have taken you over a year to do everything.
As someone that doesn't know how to do either, I too can feel the immense amount of effort and hard work that went into this.

The dedication is unreal on this one, probably little to no people notice bc it just flashed for fifteen seconds, but going on a weight loss journey for a project is just so surreal. You a real one, man!!
