Full Moon was definitely a harder round than Gashina. They all sang for such a short time and Full Moon is a lot softer a song. For Gashina, the way Sunmi pronounces everything is very distinct and to me it was immediately noticeable while Full Moon I was unsure. All the women were really great singers though
well in full moon and 24 hours sunmi used the jyp half air half sound technique as she was still under jyp at that time but now she has a more distinct style and she strays away from the half air half sound technique

I was so shocked that the panelists didn't immediately hear her voice in the first round; once I heard her as #2 I immediately felt it. Her singing style is so distinctive with her breathiness and airiness; it's so refreshing to hear. For the second round, it was a lot easier to tell it was her. But these impressionists were also insanely talented.
I'm not a fan oh her and I've only heard Gashina several times before and none of her other songs, but for some reason even I thought it was #2 as soon as I heard it🤣 I think the other ones just don't sound as natural, because they're impersonating and can't sing freely, so somehow it sounded more forced.
Idk to me none of them sounded similar enough to Sunmi to get confused. She has a very unique voice. But maybe they hear something different than us. Or maybe it's because I've heard her live and can recognise her tone better now.

@@DJPaoloDelaCruz Sorry for the late answer, but Taeyeon was eliminated in the 2nd round. She had to go up till round 5 because the show has a rule that if the Original Singer is eliminated, the audience should vote for the real Taeyeon every round.
Not even her dancers knew which one was Sunmi. That was unexpectedly funny. The impressionists are just so good at imitating sunmi while singing beautifully

Same I’m not her fan I just know her and her popular songs cause I’m a K-pop fan but I still got it right both rounds. First round I was confused between 2&4 but I replayed it and guessed 2 but for the second one it was immediately clear to me XD
i personally feel that sunmi voice is one of the easiest to recognise among all the hidden singer episodes i watched tho. her husky voice & how she handle her notes are just one of a kind.
Round 1 was a toss-up btwn 2&4, but round 2 was definitely 4. Not sure if the subsequent terms are correct, but Sunmi’s voice is rich(?), and her low notes sound very full(?), which to me are the charming points of her voice and why it might have sounded more distinct to me, coupled with her quite distinct articulation and breathing. And one thing for sure, her voice doesn’t stretch thin(?) at higher notes, which makes her very obvious in round 2.
I've listened to Sunmi's songs on repeat for a very long time, enough to be able to figure out which booth had her in it. During the initial listen, I was torn between booths 2-4, but after the second round of singing I knew with absolute certainty that she was in booth 2 -- and I was right! Yup, even in round 2 I got it right and knew almost instantly that she was in booth 4. It could be because Gashina is one of the songs I've listened to a lot and watched and listened to the live stages of and know how it goes but also the fact that she mentioned her voice technique for the song differed -- when you sing with your full voice, it's done differently from person to person. I don't know what it is, but Sunmi's is both soft and strong, not exactly airy but at least compared to the other four singers, definitely and for sure softer than them.

as someone who only listens to sunmi very casually, i was completely lost in round one, but in round two her voice sounded very distinct compared to the others. all the contestants were amazing tho!

I just found this video after a year 😢. IMO the sound of her voice is still the same. The diff is the technic she used when she sang. In round 1 and 2: when I heard #2(Round 1) and #4(Round 2) sang, yess this is Sunmi.
I think it was easy for us to recognize the voice, 1 because we love her and 2 because we hear the sound that the microphone picks up and in person you hear the sound of the speakers 🔊
Round 1: 3 and 4 were definitely not hers and I could clearly hear her @2:00 at the very last note. 1 didn't really sound like her so I narrowed it down to 2. I got both rounds right! I knew it from the moment I heard it- I've been a fan of hers for so long that I've memorized the tone of her voice and her singing techniques.
Keep in mind the sound is different live than through recording!! So people in the audience hearing it differently doesn't mean they're not true fans or something! It usually is much harder to hear differences live as well because you can't go back and listen again and again like we can. Please be respectful to those who didn't get it right away.
