Well, GD doesn't have a wife and children to care for so he only had to deal with it himself without his nuclear family having to go through it too (having parents and siblings is not the same as having a wife and children and therefore being the head of household) It's a whole different situation. Also, LSK had not only been interrogated for whole 19 hours (which sounds to me like torture) for his alleged use of drugs but also his rights were violated during the investigation (GD's too). Further, he had to deal with being blackmailed by two different people, who basically stole money from him. And there's more! His very personal audios were exposed by the media and netizens were hardcore slamming him for it. To top it all off, he was also being accused of visiting brothels which means his wife was also being affected by it. What LSK was dealing with, was a whole different monster than what GD is/was dealing with. Still, I am glad he is strong enough to withstand it all but please don't make it sound as if LSK wasn't a fighter or wasn't strong enough.

Imagine being in a very dark mental place, taking drugs, and than publicly getting shamed for it. South Korea has a very strange relationship with their idols. The Korean media is so cruel....they hound you and put the spotlight on you for the smallest of things yet there are such evil people in high places doing worse...its sickening and I feel sorry for idols because of this...whether GD is guilty or not, some personal struggles may lead to some doing things out of their character which is wrong but instead of getting them help they arrest and mock you on national TV...no human on this earth is perfect but it seems like in Korea if you make one little mistake you are shamed....praying for these idols mental health and praying that they will somehow br protected in the future

if what's being done to kwon ji-yong by south korean police were done in other countries, the police would come under attack. it's becoming apparent the police have no solid evidence, except an accusation by a third person. the police are doing a "fishing expedition" to find the proof to make any charges stick. so it's like kwon ji-yong is guilty, and he has to prove he's innocent in a trial by publicity. again, it's easy to accuse and in the process destroy a person's reputation by gossip, intrigue, and innuendo. the news just highlights the accused because of a whiff of scandal, but who's the accuser? is the accuser even credible, or does the accuser have a hidden agenda? when all this circus is done, can kwon ji-yong find redress by suing the police, the press, and the accuser?
this wouldn't be the first time SK police makes a move on celebrities only based on accusations and without solid evidence. then they'll repeatedly call the celeb in with a myriad of "tests" as if they want to find a reason to catch these celebs on something. really, a joke. While i accept drugs are part of the music and fashion industry, i don't think this guy is in need of drugs in any way, he's down to earth, confident but humble, well grounded, highly successful and wealthy. i feel more of a smear campaign to damage his clean image than guilt of drug taking. who made the original complaint? Was it malicious? Something is missing in this story. Good luck to this kpop legend, I hope this doesn't affect his work, and if it does I hope it's in a positive way. South Korea has a very strange relationship with their idols. Literally everywhere you go on the street, you see these idols being worshipped, but people are also very quick to ruin their lives for some nonsense. The idol life - which let me remind you, is already taking a toll on their mental health. Nobody can keep up the 'perfect' and 'innocent' idol shtick forever, especially full grown adults. It's all an act.
