I've learned how to deal with being like that. I get the cheapest parts and I'm trying to make a pc. Currently, I have spent $0 on it. But all the parts are at least 5 years old office/school computer parts. The case is the age of me or older.

The first minis were decent little PPC G4 performers. They were a decent low-cost alternative to the more expensive tower systems of the time. They even had discreet graphics (Radeon) and could handle games. You got a much better value from them then than you will now, with Apple deciding that gaming on the Mac is overrated and that the mini is best targeted at cluster computing and "pro" users.

Linus acts like some of his sayings are old... I'm 50 yo and 9 times out of 10 I get none of the cultural references. I work with all young people(43 employees and everyone is under 26yo) and I regularly make up "old sayings" just to confuse and mess with them. I see some of them may be on to me though because I've caught them trying to look up the things I tell them.
