    That makes sense. Thanks so much. Literally just prior to watching your video. I bought the 737 directly from Anker. Then after watching your video.....lightbulb....makes total sense. So... immediately canceled the 737 and bought a 747 and 140-watt usb c chord as well on an awesome sale and used the "pay 4" option. So happy. Great advice.

      Hi there. Great! Yeah, I figured if the design caught ME as not as stable, then someone else out there might have the same opinion, so I'm glad my point-of-view helped!

    I’m from the U.K. where we have the “G-Type” plugs. I’ve been to over 32 states in the USA and set up a PhD in Ohio (didn’t do it because of a girl 😅). There are many things I like about the USA but your power outlets aren’t good. Any weight or load and you’re correct, the plug just falls out of the socket. Particularly in hotels where they have had plenty of use. For reference mate check out the U.K. Irish Singapore Malaysia G-Type outlets, they’re very solid. In fact they’re sometimes too stiff, particularly for older folks. But they don’t budge. Happy holidays over your side of the pond. Love the content. 👍

      Hi there. Thank you so much for the info! Yes, American outlets aren't great. the ONLY thing I like about USA plugs vs European/UK plugs is that almost ALL other non-USA plugs are LARGER than USA plugs. Which just means more bulk to every item. So, in that sense, I'm spoiled growing up in the USA with smaller plugs. But yeah, the outlets get loose.......a lot.......and yes, in hotels especially.
      Anyway, thank you for the info and comments, cheers!

      @@MarcusHutsellno, they are not smaller than EU plugs. And if course, 230V means half the current.

    Note that the Anker 747 has issues charging many Lenovo laptops such as Lenovo Yoga 9i and Slim Pro. I have 6 chargers which are able to charge at 100 watts or more but the Anker 747 is only able to charge up to 13 watts on my Lenovo 9i whereas the rest can charge up to 90+ watts. Apparently there are some compatibility issues between Anker and some Lenovo laptops. These incompatibility issues are also mentioned in reddit by Anker users

    • @MarcusHutsell
      @MarcusHutsell  년 전 +2

      Hi there Drew.
      I use a couple of different ones, I just searched for "thin" or ultra-thin case on Amazon and ordered some a few years ago. I hate adding bulk and weight, but wanted something to protect my laptops.
      I have both a 13" Macbook Pro and 14" and here are the cases I have for each:
      13” MacBook Pro case: amzn.to/3Y1IX1W
      14” Macbook pro case: amzn.to/3WONLqm

  • @nathanciminelli5900

    There are little plastic inserts you can get for loose outlets and also the Apple ones are not all that secure the one my dad has for his laptop falls out of the wall all the time doesn't matter the socket really it's just so big and heavy

    The 747 is not available in the UK and the 737 has fixed prongs and a smaller version of the faceplate built in.
    This keeps the 737 stable while used horizontally in a wall outlet.

    It comes with suction cup rubber adapter that is supposed to prevent that. Did you not get that in the box?

    • @MarcusHutsell
      @MarcusHutsell  년 전 +3

      I’m thinking you didn’t actually watch all of my video because I talk about that at 4:30.
      And to be honest, I actually uploaded this video without knowing it came with the rubber suction cup, because it’s not advertised on the box, and it was not a parent that it was even in the box on either model as it was stuck to the bottom inside and underneath a divider. I felt pretty dumb, which is why I recorded the middle section and re-uploaded this video… But it’s all there, start watching at 4:30.

    Any thoughts on the Anker 615 or 727?

    • @MarcusHutsell
      @MarcusHutsell  년 전

      Hi there. Well, I am definitely kind of wanting that 615 to put in my work pelican case and/or to take for travel, especially since it has an extension cord built in. But, I haven't bought it as of yet. It's just a bit larger than my current travel power strip, so don't need it juuuuust yet ;) And, when I was buying the 737, I didn't need a battery power bank (because of the size and added weight of a battery), so I haven't used the 727. But so far I'm really liking the compactness and multiple USB outputs of my 737. Charges my 14" Macbook pro with lots of watts to spare.
      Aaron Parecki did an overview on most of these chargers, here's a link to his video. This is actually how I saw/heard about them in the first place: krplus.net/bidio/d5mxmomBerGbf34

    I THINK 737 YOU COULD PLUG IT IN REVERSED SO IT WON'T FALL OUT OR LOSE GRIP YEAH? WERE THE TYPE A PORT IS IN THE UPPER POSITION INSTEAD ON DOWN POSITION.
    BECAUSE I THINK YOU PLUG IT WERE 737 CAN'T GET A GRIP TO THE WALL SOCKET.
    I might be wrong or right too?

    • @MarcusHutsell
      @MarcusHutsell  8 개월 전

      Not sure exactly what you mean here, but, for me, I just found the 737, being longer.......just doesn't work as well in a wall-socket. And I do NOT want to carry around that little suction cup thingy, so, I just went with the 747. And I actually have (2) 747's now, one in my bag, and one in my travel work-box. They work great and I have lots of ports......and it fully powers my 14" macbook pro!

    i have iphone and airpods and im about to buy apple watch in future, should i buy 747 or 737?

    • @MarcusHutsell
      @MarcusHutsell  5 개월 전

      HI there. For those items, either the 737 or 747 charger will work. Smart phones, airpods cases, and smart watches don't require a lot of power for charging, so you could save $ with the 737 (the version with OUT the built-in battery), but the 747 gives you an extra USB-C Port, so that's handy. I now have (2) 747's, one for my backpack/portable and a 2nd one for my work pelican production case, they're great!

    • @MarcusHutsell
      @MarcusHutsell  년 전 +1

      Very true. I just found the 737 would possibly cause more issues for me based on what I liked/disliked. And, I've been VERY happy with my 747. I like the more square design, and I like the additional ports and more available wattage. It's been great!

    • @MarcusHutsell
      @MarcusHutsell  년 전

      Hi there. hmmmmm.......I'm not sure. Generally Anker stuff is pretty darn good. I haven't had any problems with my 747. And honestly, I'm not 100% on what specs/chargers/wattages/voltages are required for super-fast charging, I need to study up on that, I usually just make sure my smaller USB power bricks are 2.1 Amp (as opposed to the 1amp Apple-bricks, etc).....I didn't look or care about ALL of the specs of the 747 in terms of fast-charging, I was just more concerned and excited about the small form-factor, the fact that it could power my 14" Macbook Pro AND that it had multiple USB-C & A outputs for other devices so I didn't have to carry AS many USB-bricks.
      Now I want to know, so, I'm sure I'll be studying up on super-fast-charging specs.
