I've been living in this place for 15 years. I do not use my dishwasher either. I grew up washing dishes by hand and still do at almost 60 years old.
I just love the dinamic of the Mazelee family.
They’re so nurturing towards each other ( 25:57 ). Alena and Joe are so playful and jolly. I loved how Alena was posing and playing runway with the kids, how Joe was not taking easy on the maze and how much fun he seemed to be having.
This kind of interaction with their kids for me personally is so special and it makes their children trust them, as they’re not just playing the role of parents but also friends.

We do sweet potatoes like that in the Caribbean isles too. Super delicious as all the goodness is maintained…far better than boiling because with boiling a lot is lost in the water.

Korea is absolutely beautiful. I love how dignified and conservative the culture is. Everyone is so polite and reserved but yet the young people embrace creativity in how they dress, and not loud and wild. It's a beautiful delicately balanced society although a bit rigid. You all did a superb job of educating us on the culture, history, landscape, food and customs. Americans could definitely take lessons from them in dignity. I see why some people would want to live there and follow several Black women that have made Korea their home. Joe, you seemed right at home there, You appeared more relaxed and happy than I've seen you in a long time. Hope you are enjoying your homeland and that you get the chance to go back many times. Thank you for including us in your trip.

From Ny, I usally just watch your videos but I had to say something this time. I truly enjoyed this video a lot!!!! Your parents are wonderful! The place where you are staying is so serene. I like seeing the volcano and so much more. The place where you went to got the bagles (wow) and your home is really large.

My 2nd tour in Korea, I went to Chegudo Island, during the Memorial Day weekend and I stayed in the military resort. We went on several tours, which consisted of the black volcanos, beaches, waterfalls, botanical gardens, festivals, the aquarium, dolphin shows, shopping, and so much more. That squid on the grill is delicious! I wasn't a believer until i was convinced to try it in Osan, years prior to my trip to Chegudo, i know i messed up the spelling. Anyways, it tastes like a good lobster, or King crab legs. The Korean street food is delicious!
Wait there is a military resort there? I stayed at the Dragon Lodge in Yongsan. Have to check that place out!
