Australian here. What a great instructional video! Thanks. For some reason I've been able to escape doing this sort of thing to the vehicles I've had over the decades but now is crunch time and your methodical and fulsome explanations are great.

Thanks for making this video, this video is definitely a confidence builder and a easy to follow instruction guide on how to remove scratches, and wax and polish my car without the fear of ruining my paint job. Much appreciated!

Those Magic white sponges work great on interiors. Cleaning the steering wheel, center colums, dash, seats and doors etc. oh and tires too. You can get a box of them for a $1 at Dolllar Tree. Your videos are excellent, Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge. I discovered these videos at the perfect time since I'm having to restore 3 of my vehicles and do some work on my mom's car too. Man, all I have to say is what a fantastic video! The way you explained everything as to why it is important and more beneficial to do **this instead of that** and how you showed us that you don't need a $400+ polisher to do the same thing a $170 polisher can do just as well. I was just looking for a reference video using those paint chip repair pens and I came across your video I felt like I was right there learning how to fix those scratches. You did an amazing job my friend keep up the great work!

That's what one side of my car looks like after scuffing into a low brick wall..Besides that, I have badly faded paint where clear coat has removed on different areas of the car. I can't afford to have the work done professionally so I'm gonna have a go at diy. Your video is easy to understand and explained well. Feeling a bit nervous but hopefully I can achieve good results.

The magic eraser worked great for my door. A 🛒 had hit my black car door and it didn’t really scratch it .. it more or less left a rather large “scrub” or “scuff” mark and that magic eraser took it right off without causing more scrubs or scuffs. Followed it up with some wax and ya can’t even tell anything ever hit it.

im so sick of stationary pilons always trying to crash into me..

I just got a new used car. All the cars I have bought were used and this one is the most expensive of them and I plan to care for it more. really appreciate the video Milan. With the sandpaper paper method removing the clear coat - will the polish or wax replace that level of protection? or will that section be primarily 'exposed' without a clear coat moving forward?

I had a few of those erasers around and it really did a good job. I also had some compound which helped too. My remaining scratches will require bondo and I ordered that and sand paper from amazon for 20. also got a 3 spray can kit to repaint it. I'll have $80 in it all said and done but I've made it look over 50% better just by cleaning it up.

Great video this will help many do it themselves and save hundreds of dollars. I'm always wet sanding others cars and of course my own.

i just bought a 10 year old minivan at a great price because, oh, maybe 60% of the total paint on the whole van looks like that part of that altima lol. i bought paint touchup sprays, brushes, pens, a buffer, different compounds. ive never done this before and this van is quite a big job but im so glad videos like this exist to help people do things like this. im sure i wont get it anywhere near perfect but im sure gonna try.

this was an excellent video... can i ask what wet sanding grits you used? 3000 is very fine.. i was thinking 1000 first then 1500 than 2000... i have done this working on many of my own cars for years.using a rotary .some times we need to just live with a couple of scratches... yes i have went through a few times ..lucky i am also good at touchups,and repainting...thanks

I just bought a new used truck and have been buying all kinds of detailing equipment. I want to take care of this truck. The only thing I need to get at this point is the polisher and the compound. My truck had a pinstripe on eat and the dealer removed it but never buffed it out. I am scared to death to use the polisher as I have never used one before. I just don't want to cause any damage. A common complaint with the M15 is that the power is weak. I don't want to spend double for something but I also don't want to buy something where I'll need to upgrade either. Part of me says just pay the extra money and be done with it. Anyway, great video. Thanks.

What a GREAT video. Your presentation is made for TV man. I do have one question. You gave tips on how to sand, but what is it that we're trying to do when we sand? Are we trying to make the scratch disappear or just get it a little less visible before we "polish". What are we trying to avoid when we sand?
