Perfectly executed play at the plate. Nice backup in the outfield to chase that ball off the Monster. Took away any momentum Yankees may have started. Besides Nathan's performance, that was the game changer. Lets the boys play more comfortable and swing away instead of playing tentative.

Yankees rank first in AL in walk but drew zero walks in this game, 2 runs scored on 2 solo shots (the second one was cheap), other highlights are Urshela and Judge having 2 cheap infield hits and Stanton was the only yank with multiple hits. Not really helpful offensive support when your ace got smoked early.
In contrast, Red Sox had everything in this game: they opened the scoring with a walk followed by a home run. Solo shot? Yes. Score from first on a double? Yes. Single with bases loaded? Yes. Plus a nice assist and relay from outfield to get Judge at the plate and the pitching was solid. That, my friends, is how you play baseball; not throw money to buy players with good stats but no team chemistry and just swing and miss for the fence.

The Yankees drew no walks because the Sox pitching staff threw strikes and had them off balance all night. You're right, the Sox had it all, right from the start. And I totally agree with your assessment about the Yankees not having the team chemistry that the Sox have. They buy right-handed power to play in a left-handed hitters ball park. I can still hear Stanton saying "Oh, there's a wall there?" as he s-l-o-w-l-y walks to first base. That is not how you play baseball.

As a Red Sox fan, it should be pointed out that the Red Sox have the 5th highest payroll. They are behind the Dodgers, Yankees, Mets, and Astros
