You call it amazing, I call it bulllshit. Aint no way I am letting someone close enough to a stabbing range, bunch of idiots.
This scene is amzing in deflecting suspicion. It's clear this Ghostface is far more capable in combat than any previous one and is less worried about making the murders dramatic. That makes you think they must be trained in combat and that they have the revenge motivation not the film motivation. When the story starts pointing to Kirby this evidence supports it but when it's revealed to be Bailey it also makes perfect sense and adds to it that he would be able to cover them up better.

Given how quick and effective with firearms and dodging arms fire this Ghostface is, I would have to give this entire attack to Detective Bailey. As a cop, he would've had plenty of tactical training and training in situational awareness to be able to take out so many people at once. Plus Ethan and Quinn were still at the apartment, and it would be too much of a risk for either of them to sneak out in costume without being noticed by Chad, Mindy, and Anika there.

I figured out Wayne was the main villain early on because only a cop could have access to that much evidence from past massacres. But he was a brutal Ghostface and he absolutely played Sam and her friends successfully getting Quinn and Ethan so close to the survivors for so long.

um what was Bailey's plan here? If he succeeds in murdering Sam, doesn't their whole framejob plan go up in flames? ive noticed this all across every Scream film actually, where Ghostface clearly tries to kill the final girl long before their supposed plan should have allowed for.
He tried to kill Tara and blame Sam.
I think all of the attacks before the final face off were just feign's to keep them guessing and to murder their friends to cause them grief. This happens a lot throughout the other Scream movies aswell.

@@luisvelez1952Another great revenge horror film, even if it is in reverse.
1.) that little head tilt ghostface does at 1:18 is amazing it’s what we’re missing in modern slasher movie little expressions/emotions that go a long way and add to the scare factor ie Michael Myers’s head tilt, Freddie Kruger’s hip lean
2.) never have I seen a slasher character use a gun and it actually work/make sense, adds a terminator quality that Jason Vorhees had, like the machete was iconic, but he could use anything at his disposal to “dispatch his target”
3.) the brutal efficiency in this scene is just awesome
To emphesize your second point, Jason Voorhees actually never killed anyone with a machete until the sixth Friday movie.

Wow ghost face will use any weapon to kill his victims it doesn't always have to be a knife or a meat cleaver just as long as it gets the job done. Ghost face definitely doesn't mess around in these movies in fact he gives his victims a warning.
While in the costume, yes. Ghostface killers have used guns to wound or kill somebody before, but they always did it out of costume during their reveal as one of the killers.

So here is the obligatory menacing attack that all the Scream movies have. I'll add that crime in the 5 boroughs happened that way since there are so many distracted people at night that are easy prey to attack before they see them coming.
When Stu attacked Sidney, there was a point that he seized her head and bashed it into the ground. If they planned to kill her, he would have gotten to work with the stabs right then and there. Instead, he taunted her until she recovered and could keep fighting back and fleeing.
When Nancy Loomis attacked Sidney, she announced her presence by speaking and loudly closing the door shut rather than sneaking up on her and then getting to it once in range.
When Roman attacked Sidney, he reached inside the room and yanked her back sending her on a dive with him rather than leaping forward in a diving stab.
As for Charlie, he slowly emerged and slashed Jill on the arm but Sidney saw him already so she was prepared accordingly to duel the Ghostface. If he was serious, he would have dealt more debilitating wounds or tried to catch both of them by surprise.
Amber and Richie did a few. If Amber intended to kill Tara that first night, she could have stabbed her in the heart or slit her throat when she opened the door not to mention the drawn-out attack once she crept up on her after sneaking inside. If Richie intended to kill Samantha at the hospital, he would have snuck up on her and stabbed her in the throat once close enough. If Amber intended to kill either Richie or Tara at the hospital or even both of them, she had ample time to do it.
Here Detective Wayne Bailey could have stabbed Tara in the heart or wrapped his arm around her breasts and stabbed her in the throat before she could react. The other thing was he hesitated when it came to stabbing Tara when he had her in his grasp allowing her to free herself. The smarter thing would have been to kill the more physically capable Samantha first and then Tara right after since she's smaller and petite. As for when he found them in the store, I think he could have shot at them through the aisle rather than make it more complicated by moving the gun over it. However, he said that Samantha required punishment and exposure first so of course this was not a planned murder. There are the little things that say if it's a planned attack or a murder.
I know this was Wayne as Ethan and Quinn were at their home and there was no way they could have gotten out to do this without Anika, Chad, Mindy, or Paul (or whatever that guy's name was) suspecting something being amiss. I say they were both too busy to help Wayne murder Greg, dismember him, and use his remains to set a trap for Jason so he could be killed. As for Wayne getting in place, Samantha had to change her top and bra as well as clean up which I say took about 5-10 minutes and possibly 15 at the most to do.
Admittedly this triple homicide isn't Michael Myers murdering those firefighters or mob, Jason Vorhees murdering the ravers, or Freddy Krueger murdering those pool partygoers but it's all Ghostface. That shotgun was a surprise and helped to make it look like a mass shooting which is a very real issue nowadays. Also, only Wayne would know how to use that shotgun without it coming off as illogical.
1:21 the cartoon gasping sound effect is sending lmao 💀
Amazing horror movie ever of the Scream film franchise. The convenience store kill and the subway stabbing are two of my favorite scenes of the sixth Scream movie. Also, the first two Scream movies are definitely my favorite of the film series.

And that's what makes it so disturbing and terrifying. Slasher films have always been my favorite sub-genre of horror films because of how real they are. A psycho in a mask killing people is something that can and DOES happen. I've always believed that human beings are the "monsters" of the real world. It's not ghosts, vampires, werewolves, aliens, giant mutated animals, or zombies that you have to worry about. It's your fellow man who may be completely unhinged.
Love the scream franchise

Why the hell would the store owner call to Ghostface when he has the gun on him? 😅
the scary part is this can actually happen
Very true, anyone can dress up and just walking into a store and start stab/shooting people.
Yeah, it can. I think that's the reason why I've always been drawn to slasher movies and why they leave more of a lasting impression on me than any other sub-genre in horror. A person wearing a mask and chasing after you trying to kill is something that can and DOES happen. I've always believed that people are the "monsters" of the real world. I don't believe in ghosts or aliens or anything like that. They're fictional, as far as I'm concerned. But this? This is 100% real. Horror movies don't scare me, but I would find something like this much more terrifying than anything else.

Its hard to make a spilt second logical decision when faced with life or death. Would you want to stay in a store with someone who is trying to kill you with a gun? Nope. The first instinct would be to get out asap.
