I'm proud of you buddy. I smoked everyday for 6 years and then finally quit. Got sucked back into it after a year and a half and now I'm 5 months sober. I will never smoke again. I thought I could smoke one time then stop but after 1 time it was every day.
So what I'm saying is never do it again or it will be even harder to leave it behind! Life is better without it man trust me. It's better to face the problems that caused us to smoke everyday! You got this

hey Ollie, I understand what you're speaking out completely. I work so much, working so hard trying not to fail, depressed, on medication for depression and anxiety and i have a drinking issue. We're in the same boat. It's so important to keep TRYING to look the positives in life even if it's hard and being real with yourself. Yes, it's all a part of growing up

But I will tell you one thing growing old and growing up are simultaneously are a never ending story..., But I can tell you that that if you have a dream when you're a kid " which I didn't".... Before you know it it will all come to tune.... Even if you don't understand it I hope that makes just a little sense
Thank you for showing me I’m not the only ones with problems because I’m 17 and very soon a senior in high school but I’ve been dealing with anxiety, adhd, depression, family, social, and drinking problems. It’s always been hard for me, I had to become the calm minded thoughtful ‘adult’ in the family quickly to keep stability and keep things in check and I’ve always been the quiet kid because everyone looked down at me and recently I went to the hospital and got myself meds to keep me focused in school and therapy to get my empathy and control of my emotions to try and make things easier after that and the pandemic I’ll try to go to uni for accounting because I’ve always thought with stats and numbers. Really I mean the thank you because without being able to see people work hard to get to where they got I’d probably struggle a lot more. Writing this also makes me think of all the things I’m thankful for that kept me going for the last 9+ years like my grandma, my 3 friends and now recently girlfriend (7 month anniversary in 12 days).

Kat Bond sounds corny but I think the change in society and social media has created a lot of misconceptions about what your life should be like right now. People on ig posting pics as if their life is all good and obviously never address their inner problems and how they are likely feel “stuck”. This can make people feel like failure despite the fact that grand majority of people your same age feel the same way. We’ve created a culture of egoism and bragging on social media, being told that if you don’t have your life fully figured out by 25 you’re a complete failure when the reality is that life is more complicated than it’s ever been and you aren’t alone in this. Hope this makes some people feel better, Ik it helped me.

Just found this song, and it captures the last year of my life perfectly. I worked so hard at the first teaching job of my career that I literally began to lose hair. My girlfriend wanted me to spend more time with her, but I was getting home so late and was always feeling so stressed that I kept putting her off, distancing myself from her. When I was only a month away from the end of school, she wound up breaking up with me because of it. We had been together for 8 years, and it was the first real relationship I had ever been in. It hurt so much that I literally cried myself to and from work, though my students and co-workers only ever saw me smile. Now, almost a year later, I've been doing so much better. I'm slowly getting back the hair I lost, and while I still miss her, I'm not thinking about her nearly as much. I'm working a job much closer to home with co-workers and students who don't drive me nuts. In fact, they make me smile -- I genuinely enjoy spending time with them. I'm still not ready for another relationship yet, but I can feel myself slowly getting there.
Long story short, though things may get to the point where you feel like you want to die, like I did, as long as you keep focused, life will get better.

I am going through a divorce from my husband of 23 years and he left me struggling financially. So I hated to have to ask my son to give up his sweet bachelors pad centrally located within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, movies and much more, not to mention a large 2 bedroom for $800 a month in northern California is unheard of in 2021 but he did it for me his mother and I know it was a hard thing to do but he said if I needed him he would be there for me and he is. This song makes me think about how he must be feeling privately inside due to the fact he hates where I live. I pray that we will be leaving this place far behind soon to start a happier healthier new life somewhere else. And may sweet dear wonderful son will have his peace of mind body and soul back.He is a Wonderful son!!!
