@@Vieiragirl it’s a remake, not a copy. the plot is completely different since it focuses on a dystopian future where both koreas are unified and a joint market system is created. the only similarity is the composition of the group of characters. it would be a “disrespect” if it was a word for word copy or if the plot was exactly the same.
I'm glad they're taking a more localized spin on it, and plus it is a bit more separated from reality as it represents a dystopian future, they can do a lot with a more fictitious setting.

Lol quality actors over popular ones? This probably the first Korean movie to archieve that since the beginning of 2022. Half a year full of healing movies bullshit, boring relationship (again) and soft stories just to buy some tears. 😂
Yu jitae and kim yoonjin are both very popular in Korea.. but I agree that they are both of quality too. Fyi yu played in oldboy and kim in lost.

yep, we can always trust koreans when it comes to creating and re-creating movies and series!! they never fail to amaze people around the world when it comes to casting the perfect artists, editing, story line, locations, etc.!
"Designated survivor - 60 Days" was too way better that the original (in my opinion).

The fact that they have come up with their own kind of story line instead of replicating the original intrigues me a lot!! Trailer is phenomenal and so does the cast 😍💜

Not at all. In this trailer alone, I saw too many similarities. You can already tell who's Tokyo, rio, Nairobi, Raquel, the professor, Helsinki, Berlin and even Arturo

You watch this trailer and marvel at the fact that they successfully integrated Korean circumstances for their adaptation of a series that was originally Spanish, and then you realize that America is planning an adaptation of Crash Landing On You...like...how will they adapt a series that is just uniquely Korean? How are they even going to replicate the North-South Korea thing? Revive the Confederate States???

This is how you make an adaptation, Netflix take notes the next time you decide to adapt another country's IP. Also cancel your adaptation of hotel del luna, it can't be replicated.
u are okay with Korea making remake but not with the remaking of kdrama . Wow even money heist can't be replicated no matter how good it is .original will always be peoples fav. Becoz of the deep connection we have with the characters . But still they remaking it so why can't they remake hotel del luna .
@@user-ameriiiiicano Because I'm American and we don't have a great track record for adapting other countries shows. Some have turned out good like, who wants to be a millionaire, animal kingdom and being human. But unless the studios doing the adaptation are really good and in contact with the korean prodction team from the original show, an American version of hotel del luna has me dreading the outcome.
I don't know much about America's culture but Hotel Del Luna has something like Gods, ghosts and reincarnation. So, it's going to be hard to remake Hotel Del Luna because those three are the important point of the show. Unless America also believe in those three, it's going to be really hard to remake Hotel Del Luna.
@@bagashayujatmiko9855 There is belief in those 3 in America from the different cultures that originally settled here and came later. Korean culture was a staple in that show from talking about various periods across 1,300 years, spiritual rituals with local deities etc. The US is barely 300 years old. There are plenty of historical periods to pull from but its hard to imagine a spirit running a hotel for 300 years matching one who did the job for 1,300 years. The writing would have to be impeccable and the amount of cultural research would be very extensive. It would take a lot to match the original in tone, humor and essence.

finally, lee hyun woo!!! last time I watched a drama he was a part of was way back in 2013 in to the beautiful you. it's so great that I can watch him in a drama again. also, great to see kim jihun. he was soooo great in flower of evil that I know he will do a great job as denver.
and thank you to the production team of mh korea because you gave justice to the two of my fave characters in la casa, berlin and nairobi, by casting park hae soo and jang yoon ju (our black mamba 😁) for the roles. they are perfect! chef's kiss casting. 🤌🏼

Las remakes coreanas son excelentes ! Ej. Designated Survivor, y la que me sorprendió por demás fue Suits con PHS que en 16 cap tuvo un planteo, desarrollo y final excepcional. Lastima que la hayan sacado de Netflix. Siempre lo adaptan a su cultura y entorno lo cual lo hace distinto y nunca decepciona. Gran elenco eligieron para esta versión de Money Heist (La Casa de Papel). Ahora a esperar su estreno ! Los avances son muy buenos. ..

I really like this version. The female characters are beautiful. We need episodes 7-12 ASAP
I'm a huge fan of the original because it does not shy away from being blunt, r18 and the psychology of the characters. So I'm honestly not optimistic about it getting adapted to Korean considering how conservative the country is(but I'll still take a glimpse and see as to how the Koreans will do it.)
You can still be blunt and have great depth in the psychology of characters without being r18. We all know what bumping the uglies looks like, that specific part isn't necessary

I want to be really excited for this, but I can't help but worry given how relatively recent the original series was released that this version doesn't look to be doing nearly enough to distinguish itself from the original outside of it's localization. Still, the cast looks fantastic and the production looks top-notch so I'll certainly be giving it a shot either way, hoping they take a whole lot of new liberties with the story.
