Bro is talking about the history and ignoring the biggest confounder. The team that drafts first almost always had the worst record the year before. The bears won 7 games last year
Yeah it's always the same talking points. Zero original thought, I could write these shows for them at this rate. Same bland takes.
They have the number 1 pick because of the trade with the Panthers, not because of how they played.
Should have been 10
Should’ve won 10 games if they didn’t choke away three games they had huge leads in
A lot like how the panthers fans felt last year too.
The difference between CW being #1 to the Bears vs any other #1 qb is that Bears were not the worst team last year. They didn’t earn the #1 pick as most teams do when selecting first overall. They are a much better team than the typical worst team in the NFL from the year prior
Okay? What happened with the Panthers the year prior?
And the Bears were 5-3 last 8 games. They started 2-7.
@@drewmorrisonand the team is upgraded too
@@RadNoiseswhat do you mean
Exactly we would have made playoffs if we don’t give up a 27 point lead to broncos
how can these guys say with a straight face that the bears arent a playoff team?? after seeing how they did last year and the additions they've made. come on man like we're using logic here
They need to prove that they are one first. I'm a Eagles fan I remember the "dream team" that had a great off season and went like 4 and 12.
It's a given to me that they're in the hunt. But in a tough division and a rookie QB, I could see them falling just short even if 9 wins. You sometimes need help in those wildcard spots. I'd say the ceiling is at least winning a playoff game.
They obviously aren’t paying attention. The Bears were eliminated on Week 17 last season. If they don’t blow huge leads in 3 games, they make the playoffs. And they are a much better team this year. Playoffs are a lock, in Chicago we are wondering if they are good enough to reach the Super Bowl.
@@tonykoz i say it's possible. Not a lock. The betting sites I saw have their win total at 8 1/2. Your reasoning makes sense to me, but rookie QBs may lose you a couple games before they win them for you, or take time, even if a great prospect. It's an unknown til you really see it. I'm confident, but not sure how quickly. Also, just cause you could have made it last year doesn't automatically put you in that same spot again. Still gotta go out and play I a tough division and have some things break for you. The uncertainty factor comes from not quite thinking they will win the division, and then any wildcard team needs a year where they aren't outplayed by the other wild card teams. You can win 9 or 10 and not get in.
@@yltcraxe With the extra wild card spot, it is really hard to miss the playoffs with 9 or 10 wins. Packers went 9-8 and got in last season
He is going to have some bumpy moments but this team is easily good enough to be in the wild card hunt.
I just wanna beat GB 😪
Easily good enough!
Look how the media only highlights him running away from pressure out of the pocket and never him in the pocket. He threw 30+ tds in the pocket.
This
Wtf u talking about?? The media is literally slobbing Caleb's knob
Over 3 years? Or one
Media will always, always focus on the negatives, biggest reason I just don’t put up with their narratives.
Bears should have won 10 games last year i think we should win a playoff game if he is who he is
😂😂😂😂 get ready to shed some tears buddy. Bear fans are dumber than Cowboy fans officially. Time to take that award with pride
They would have made the playoffs if Justin Fields didn't get injured
Bears went 7-10 and were primed to make the playoffs this year with Justin Fields. If they don’t win 9 games this year with THIS roster, Bears made a huge mistake.
You see how he had to tell them the bears was the #1 ranked defense? That just goes to show you how much these so called analysts actually watch football!
Lol I love how he brought up our defense to people who don’t watch tape. The bears defense truly is wild, and probably a top 3-5 defense next year for sure. The bears new offense has the pieces to make CW comfortable in the NFL. Bears floor is 7 games, ceiling 11-12.
All I’m saying if fields was able to take them 7-10 with the weapons he had, Caleb Williams should take ‘em to the playoffs with this new offense and adding to their defense. If not it’s a failed year
Fields only got 5 of those wins
@@carking07the two wins Bagent got, Fields would've definitely got as well. He played the easiest part of our schedule
no way Caleb ain’t winning but 3 games next season
The Bears had better be a playoff team!! They were one game away from a wildcard spot with Justin just this last year. If Caleb is really generational, they should make the playoffs.
I think they were generally pointing out how hard it'll be if they're playing in the NFC North wish is doing very well overall. I agree with you though. I think they can.
They were not 1 game away idk why people keep saying that lol
@Frontyardfootball190 ok then, two games. Point is they were close with Justin. And if Caleb is a generational talent then the Bears record should improve at least two games. Especially with the addition of Swift and Allen.
@@Frontyardfootball190It was 2 games away from playoffs but during the season the Bears had 3 games with HUGE late leads which they lost in the 4th. Fields missed 4 games and they also had a horrible OC. He’s gone now and so if Caleb is generational, I see my Bears winning 11+ games easily. They’ve upgraded the WR room and their defense was ranked #1 I believe the last 7 weeks of the season. It’s going to be very interesting..
@@OrlandoSoto1111 I think 8-10 is more realistic. The bears defense will probably be top 10 but not top 5 because of a weaker dline, the rookie will have bumps although I think he will be good and overall the team isn't all that improved to me the only significant additions are keenan allen, caleb williams, and whoever they take at 9
I LOVEEE KYLE BRANDT 🐻⬇️
Not a playoff team!? Crazy!!!
The people really waiting for CW are the Lions , Packers and Vikings defenses.
Let’s see a win against these teams before he goes to Canton .
Disagree, rather I personally believe the Bears offense should be tested against the Niners. Packers, Lions, and Vikings have nothing compared to the Niners.
If Williams is drafted by the Bears and plays all 17 games we expect 10 wins, 4000+ pass yards, 30 pass TD's at the minimum. I wouldn't be shocked if this happened.
Look, of the teams they play next year that are playoff ready it’s like 5 of them out of 17 games the bears are likely going to the playoffs next year because of the strength of schedule being so weak.
It’s less about Caleb and more about how good that roster is now.
Secondly you gotta understand it’s a good situation to go into as a rookie.
My prediction is Chicago Bears makes the playoffs takes the NFC North pending on the ninth pic whether they trade down a trade up I have the Bears to take the north no competition
Come on to Chicago Caleb let’s bring greatness back to chi town baby 🐻⬇️
Everyone counting us out ok 👍🏽
Been reading the comment's- so many negative fans......
And a lot of fans that don't know the game or the business, this is business, getting a fresh start when clearly it wasn't working-Field's is no longer here, so the but but/what if's need to go....
CW is rated as the #1 prospect nationwide, and for a reason....
It's very healthy to get away from Chicago sports media as well, and get some objective opinions that are not fan based -as a fan I'll support whomever is under center come September, looking forward to it.
So the last guy is the only one that did some research for this segment
At the start of last season when they had to rely on back ups at the O-line like Borum who made tons of mistakes and penalties', they were not good. I kept telling my friends, wait until Tevin Jenkin's healthy again, wait until the O-line is back, then judge the offense. I love Justin, I wanted to see what he could do in his final season as a Bear and I will miss him, but I won't miss how he kept blowing leads late in games. Caleb's known for the opposite of that, he's known for being clutch late in games, not making the costly turnovers. If we take that 9 pick and get either Alt or Turner, I'd push to move up for Xavier Worthy, if we can't get those guys, get Odunze and draft defensive talent after that we can coach up to fill in when the inevitable holes open up from injuries. The defense was great at the end of the year but that comes only on the heals of the Montez Sweat trade, we can't a couple of pieces to keep this streak going. Invest in the future! :)
Bold take i think the bears will sneak a wildcard spot this year. I wouldnt be surprised if we see 3 teams from the NFC north goin to the playoffs.
Get ready for a New GM New Head coach and of course a new QB by the end of the season!
You're a buffoon
Lmao 😂😂😂, kick rocks cheesehead
I don't think it matters who's available #9, if Poles has a couple good options to trade down, he will. If it makes sense twice, if he can drop down into the 20s & add a 2nd, 2 3rds & a 4th he will. Having a pick in the 20s after picking #1 & 4 more picks in the top 90 & 2 in the 4th will give him the ability to grab atleast 4-5 top end starters.
#1 Caleb
#20ish BTJ/Adonai
2nd rd Darius Robinson
3rd Kris Jenkins
3rd Brandon Coleman
3rd Jaden Hicks
4th Bortolini
4th BPA
You aren't getting all that for pick 9. Not even King Poles, can fleece someone for that, at pick nine! I hope Odunze or Alt is there, otherwise trade back get Thomas jr
Realistically, I don't know, but I think they'll win 10 games. People look at the division with blinders. They essentially beat the Lions twice but floundered on defense for the reality of only beating them once. The Vikings are challenging but beatable. GB doesn't know the Bears plays anymore since they got rid of Getsy (Lafluer's student). It will be interesting.
Wait till you see that defense with another good pass rusher
The bears were a fringe play off team last season and could have been one for the coming season if they stayed with Justin Field and nailed the draft, can they get there with Caleb? Yes, but they need to get lucky with their remaining draft picks.
Improving the most important position in sports will help.
this the reason why i don’t watch national media when it comes to my team, they can stick to talking about cowboys, eagles, etc. cause they don’t know wtf they tb with the bears
The other thing that gets missed is the Bears have the 30th ranked strength of schedule. These are their opponents for 2024.
Detroit Lions Green Bay Packers Minnesota Vikings Los Angeles Rams Seattle Seahawks Jacksonville Jaguars Tennessee Titans Carolina Panthers New England Patriots
Arizona Cardinals San Francisco 49ers Houston Texans Indianapolis Colts Washington Commanders
There are a lot of winnable games on that schedule.
Commanders titans and jags will be hella upgraded so they are not as easy as they used to be
Why not just draft local boy Jimmy G as their QB. I'm sure he will be very honored to play for Chicago.
Playoffs or bust! Especially after trading away Fields for a ham sandwich and a lottery ticket
If justn fields was that good we would of been in playoffs dosent help he sucked the first 4 games last season it dosent help when ur coach loses 3 games cause he cant coach
This is stupid he’s a rookie QB, I bet you weren’t saying this last year with your fields shirzey on
Anyone who says this fails to define “or bust”. Like what’s going to happen?? We’re not trading him we’re locked in for the next 3 years. Yes I think they will make the playoffs but let’s chill.
Fields is a terrible quarterback get over it
@@llamarre4 CJ Stroud had an amazing season and got the Texans to the playoffs. Including winning a playoff game and he did all this with much less talent around him than Caleb Williams will be walking into with the Bears. He absolutely better atleast make the playoffs
He said no to a playoff team WHATTT! This is A PLAYOFF TEAM FOR SURE!!!!
Look at the team on Paper. It's on.
Anyone ask this group why odds makers have Bears predicted for one more win than last season given?:
1. Addition of an all pro RB and WR.
2. Addition of true professional NFL coaches.
3. First pick and 9th pick in draft - all before 22 other teams get a pick.
4. Trade away and take an "alleged generational" QB at #1.
Answer: Like Hoge has pointed out, the jury on the coaching shake up is still out, and
no "King Poles" label until they are winning more games than losing in their third season
under this regime. After all, Ryan Pace and Nagy won 12 games with Mitch Trubisky in their third season.
Poles needs 13 to even tie Phil emery as gm lol not even close to Ryan pace yet lol.. but these clowns saying plies is greatest gm bears have had lol so far he is the worst but nobody reads or researches anymore. someone they like says it and then other talking heads run with it. Everyone I know that’s done the homework sees holes in Caleb and poles and eberflus. This is an easy schedule if they can’t win 7 games it’s going to be ruthless for those three people. The mccaskeys and Warren don’t care if we win one game they only care about a new stadium and making more money, so essentially it’s just poles running the show without any accountability. So get used to being the bottom of the north for the next five years.
Did any of these guys do their homework? Did they bother to look at the Bears strength of schedule? 2023 Defensive rankings? Offensive skill positions? Bears should be a playoff team.
10 wins is very realistic. Should make the playoffs with that, but not necessarily
NO CAP!
How does 1 player go 3 years without being featured in the offense to being projected as the 4th pick in a mock draft? Lol smh
2-0 vs Vikings , 1-1 vs pack and lions , 10-7 record
They just traded for a stud veteran who by the way has had year long relationship with (think they haven’t worked out together?) .they also still have DJ n added Deandre Swift, see where the offense is headed? He may very well break CJ’s record….put me down on the record now…Caleb will break CJ’s record!!!!!!
Im 30 years old and the best thing I’ve seen the bears do in my lifetime is trading that pick last year since we can agree they were not getting stroud.
Why would we want him? He's done nothing, Mitch Trubisky hasn't.
@@scottellsworth2525 what are you trying to say lol
@@monsterjournal he's going to be a average backup also. If you need it , VERBATIM ?
With the team that Poles is putting together and the teams they'll be playing this season, the Bears should be playing for a wildcard spot no matter who the qb ends up being.
If we had a veteran qb, I think they'd contend for the division but not with a rookie (no matter which rookie).
It’s bait from Good Morning Football to not add that this is almost .500 team
If I was a QB, there are about a DOZEN teams I would flatly refuse to go to....and the BEARS is one of them. They drafted a QB in the first round, even top 5 a few times during that period, and they did not surround that guy with mentorship, talent, support. Your career is gonna end before it starts.
Having you been watching this offseason??? Allen, swift, Everett
It's not all on Caleb. Bears can run the ball. Bears defense is stout. I'd say 50/50 they make the playoffs. Don't forget the wildcard. It's there to balance the playoffs for exactly the situation where you have 3 top tier teams in one division like NFC North. Bears offseason signings have upgraded so many positions. There aren't many weaknesses on this team. Bear Down.
It really all depends on Caleb but I think they win 9 games tho bc I know he gonna struggle mid way through the season
Bears making playoffs period
Bears are much better than usual a team that picks #1.
Yo real bear head here and I would like y'all to imagine for a moment with me. The Chicago Bears drafted Caleb Williams number one overall of course and with the ninth pick draft Brock Bowers. So now the Bears offense is Williams, Swift, Allen, Bowers,Moore,Kmet, and the slot is Worthy. Kevin Warren said he wants this offense to put up points like the greatest show on turf. Let's give these children what they deserve Bears win.
Whoa. Two offensive players on first round picks? Don’t need Browers, need edge rusher like Dallas Turner before him
We got gerald everett we’re not gonna grab bowers
Bowers is a monster.Draft him
I’m not jumping again on bears wagon until I see the offense flow good with a rookie qb
The greatest show on turf didnt play in Soldier field in December.
We should have won 3 to 4 more games last season. The Broncos, Lions, Browns, Vikings & Saints. Would have should have could have.
People are saying Williams is the next Mahomes, well does Chicago have an Andy Reid on their staff because without Reid Mahomes ain't Mahomes. Buffalo had it with Allen Daboll he leaves and Allen isn't the same Allen he was with Daboll.
We shall see. If memory serves Reid wasn't Reid without Mahomes, he was fired from Philly after all.
@@alterego7287I'm not saying it's the QB or the OC it's a partnership but both have to be elite in what they do.
As a Bears fan, I don't care about the mahomes comp. Just show me consistency and grow into a top 10 QB. Make the plays that win football games, and continue to develop. If he's more than that, yes, please.
Wild card playoff team is realistic.
I’m holding receipts they better be good or poles getting fired
I like Kyle’s optimism, but ….. in each of Flus’ years as HC the team has gotten off to a slow start. We gotta buck that trend, especially with a rookie qb.
Realistic expectations? For a "generational" prospect? Absolutely not.
LOVE 💞💖💗💕💗💗❤💖❤💗💖💗💗💖💗💖💗❤❤💖💗
Bears are an 8 to 10 win team next season! 🐻⬇️
Half these analysts do not analyze every team. Makes me wonder how they have jobs. Way to state facts Kyle!
They said the lions will be a problem like they didn’t almost blow them out 2 times last year if it wasn’t for the defense 😂
Winning the NORTH
I truly think my bears can go 10-7. We lost 3 games on meltdowns from luke getsy. Will upgrade to atleast 3 more games.🐻⬇️
Playoffs or fire everyone
He get's no rookie season with the amount of pressure and hype surrounding him! He either is what the media says he is "Generational" or he's not a "bust"! It's either playoffs or get rid of everybody!
Caleb was running away from some pretty slow dudes in college to make a lot of those plays.. that isnt gonna translate as well in the nfl, where even the lineman run sub 4.6 40s..
I hope C. Williams wins Chicago and the fans over. I am very nervouse that we got rid of Justin Fields
This is an exciting time to be a Bears fan, I believe the Bears will be 9-8 this season
#BearDown
Wait a minute! This clown said "The offense is ready"? I wasn't aware that training camp started already! Caleb hasn't even thrown an NFL pass yet!
Caleb will have double digit fumbles, like he did last season at USC and the coaching won't help him because they aren't very good.
Oh look this guy speaks the truth!! Fumble machine waiting to happen this small dude thinks he’s Hollywood untouchable lol he going get smashed by the best defense he has ever seen every Sunday. And he couldn’t even handle college teams!!! Oh well bears will be bears time to get the paper bags out
10 wins is a reasonable expectation. 3 more wins then last year. 10 wins = playoffs.
Not with a rookie QB lol 😂
Rivers wasn't drafted first overall, Eli manning was
9-10 wins is realistic imo
Anything less than 10 wins and at least a wild card is a failure and a step backwards for the Bears in 2024.
If the bears dont get AT LEAST 8 wins this season it will be a major disappointment.
People forget Rg3 took his team on his back to the playoffs his rookie years all facts people disrespect rg3 rookie greatness if he never gets injured we be at least in the nfc championship game that year probably lost to 49ers
how are they analysts and keep acting like the Bears got the #1 pick for being the worst team, THEY WERE NOT the worst team they got the worst team pick
He is 1-4 in last 5 good luck Chicago.....
the problem with the Bears is Eberflua.
If Justin Fields, the quarterback everyone says was so terrible leads last years team to 7 wins. Really, it should arguably should have been 9 win. Surely, a generational talent should be able to take a much better team to the playoffs. Anything less, you have to question if he is what they say he is. I'm a Bears fan, so I'm hoping he is. However, I have to be real; if Justin does more with less, I'll have to say trading him was a mistake.
Chargers went from 4-12 to 12-4, colts went from 2-14 to 11-5. Keep in mind these two teams were the worst teams. The bears they were 7-10, this isn't the bears first pick, its the panthers. With the 1st and 9th draft picks and the free agent signings, I believe the bears are going to be a playoff caliber team
The Bears need to win 10 games and go the playoffs in 2024 or the season is a failure and a big step backwards. Poles might keep his job for another year but Eberflus wont.
1000X I've been saying this since rumors began of them drafting Williams.
Go Bears 🐻
Washington still calling....
10-7
Bears are getting a lineman @9 best lineman available not a WR
I'd love for the Bears to get Joe Alt, but they're gonna need some luck on their side for him to fall to 9. 🤞
The bears are t the average #1 picking team. They won seven games.
Idk how that’s possible. The panthers are the average #1 team. The bears just had their pick. There’s a massive difference between both teams
This is the Bears first ever #1 pick in their history where they're actually going to use it, and where they draft a clear #1 guy.
Idc bears are better than packers with Caleb on the team and they will fight with lions for the top spot, I’m a saints fan , I’m just being real
Bears should of had 10 wins last year and they're much improved we have Detroits number who else is there packers maybe get real clowns
LMAOOO he’s praying so hard for the bears
The Bears should easily make playoffs, they won 7 games last year , and lost 3 close games due to bad coaching… how do u draft a generational talent QB , sign a pro bowl WR , a pro bowl RB , sign 3 offensive linemen , and a new TE , that was pretty good as a #2 ..🤔How the hell do u get all that and go backwards 🤔… never saw a rookie QB with this much help ever , Justin would’ve took this new team to playoffs easily .. Not making playoffs next year is unacceptable period
Chris and Jason are so wrong lol
so does this mean Kyle Brandt is going to pretend to be a life long bears fan again? now that the bills have gotten rid of everyone...
Lol we almost beat detroit twice with fields
Top five in mvp voting
Also, Remember how INJURY Prone Fields was... He missed A LOT of games!!!
Its a whole new year, new players and Packers and Lions looking to improve on a strong season last year.
Caleb could be great, or he could break his leg in the first game - roll the dice.
Personally I think selling the no1 for a load of picks and build for fields would have paid off in a big way, I also understand why they did not go that route.
You don't win unless you have a good qb, Fields is not. You should be acutely aware of that as a 9ers fan.
@@TheMattTrakker your entitled to your opinion, I disagree that Fields is a bad QB - he was in a very bad organization, unsupported by O-line and injured ffar more than he should have been because of it. They seemed to have turned a corner this year and had the picks to really take a step forwards.
Instead they have taken a typical Bears move of rolling the dice on a QB who may or may not succeed in the NFL - time will tell on that one.
Meanwhile Fields has gone to a good position where he can learn for a year and get himself 100% fit and ready to roll when required. I see him starting for the Steelers in 2025 and proving to be a very valuable team member for them.
Love hearing the Hate
The Bears need to make the playoffs this year hands down this whole thing is a fail without making the playoffs
A lot of people dont talk about how the Bears defense were interception machines last season. They were picking everybody off 3 or 4 times a game. Solid defense, they just need an offense to match.
Didn't mean much when defense was coughing up almost 20 points in the 4th quarter.
🐻⬇️ baby !!! Come on over Caleb we waiting for you !
If you think another quarterback will help the franchise you’re delusional, because we’ve gone through like 7 different qb’s in the last five years alone and where has that gotten us?
If you kept fields then drafted Marvin Harrison or Joe alt you would have been better
Should have kept fields! And drafted a alt and a receiver! ..... plus all the draft capital you would have gotten........ Very few 1 pick QBs win a SB ...... Williams is going to be a bust!
